My biggest peeve is people collecting and buying games they don't enjoy or have no intention of playing. When I see people obsessing over complete sets, it baffles me, since basically every system has a metric ton of just awful games or redundant sports games that, let's be honest, you will never play or care about or even remember that you own. I've either played or intend to play every game I have for every system I own.
This was all wonderful advice. I like when collectors give advice videos because everyone has their own interesting unique ways and It helps the community. I would say plastic game covers for all games are great pricy but some places you can find many for cheap. The plastic see through at times you can find hard ones which cost more but makes for better protection. Thank you for sharing. Cool video. ^_^
Believe or not, I don't use an app but I have my WHOLE collection written in my iphone notes. It took a very long time plugging in everything when I started tracking everything years ago.
So as crazy as it may sound, I use my notes on my iphone to track the collection. I don’t use any tracking apps since I feel like just using notes makes it easier for me to track if I have specific variants of games. As of right now I’m working on finishing the dreamcast set and the n-gage set. I only need two more games for n-gage and I need a hundred more games for dreamcast. Thanks for asking!
I only have about 50 games between my switch & 3ds. ^ I can't ever find the time to play them because. A. I'm playing Satisfactory B. Playing age of Empires 2,3, &4 C.playing Civilization 5 or 6 D. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 E. Playing simcity 2013. F. Playing palworld I got so used to playing the same games over and over...it's hard for me to focus on playing something new.
For me, it's important to pass part of the collection on. When I was a kid at a garage sale this collector gave me a massive stack of Yu Gi Oh cards with a lot of rare cards. Now I'm a tutor and I give away my old Pokemon cards, Funkos, and all that as prizes.
Yeah when I gave up my gb/gbc collection I sold it really cheap to someone young starting their collection. It felt good giving my games to a “younger me” especially when prices have inflated so much.
I track my video games by writing down printer paper have them in folders my 8 file cabinets I keep my games in protector cases none of games dust on them
So true brother. So many people have felt the need to jump on the 360 hype train this year, even people that had no interest in the 360 until now. I've been playing it for 10 years now, and it's so weird to see these horrible games jumping in price because of UA-cam comments. People think buying Fatal Inertia or Darkest of Days, or Operation Darkness is some sort of weird investment plan. They are spending crazy money on these games when they have almost no interest in actually playing them, and they are objectively bad.
@Residentevil1998racooncity Buhhh I just can't get enough of rubbing the lense!! I love giving it a good rub, you can't do that with an emulator ;) Unless you emulate the experience. Hmm...further research is required.
Preaching to people is about the worst thing you can do as a youtuber. This was my first time clicking on your channel. After a few mintues, I found myself annoyed. Thank you for the tips but no thanks.
The absolute worst thing a game collector can do is not play their games. Remember its about the games.
Exactly!

Nice gatekeeping. How about instead of worrying about what other collectors do, you just worry about yourself.
So basically this guy in the video? Lol

Hello Kitty Kruisers didn't just get a Switch version, it got a Wii U reprint.
I organize my games by genre, fps together. sports together, driving games together...etc
Solid points! What do you use to track your collection? Also what sets are you going for? Cheers!

So many hand gestures, kept me laughing lol good video man
Absolutely agree with your points.
Actually collecting games means acquiring all the games. Also don't put POPS in with your game collection.
POPs are trash 🗑️
you got a pretty sexy collection my guy.

Collecting games instead of playing them.
Not cleaning the lens every once in a while on old cd based consoles. I think my Saturn still runs good because I clean the lens

Yoo - maybe like 5 years ago you couldn't touch Duck Tales 2 for under 400,, now its wat less....maybe one day i can afford it
enjoyed the video with good tips but the music is a bit loud vs your voice
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to do some better adjusting in the future.
Good video I didn't here you talk about those how to avoid them fake games out there😢😮

i really didn't see it as preaching, just advice. he even uses language like "please do this" occasionally
touch grass cuz
I live in a desert I can only touch sand, which I hate because it's course, rough and it gets everywhere.
