This is one of the movies that I'm very happy I didn't get spoiled at. I was at the edge of my seat in theater during many scenes. RIP Lance Reddick. It broke my heart that he didn't last long in this movie
Quite a devastating irony
@@darthdracul8372and it was like within the same week or two everyone found out he passed.
It broke my heart 2 hear he died after d movie bs jus like si many others in d pass 5 yrs i feel like people's time speed up like thanos snap came 2 reality
For the card scene, the playing cards have just a tiny bit of ink on them to make the numbers and symbols. Caine senses are so heightened that he can feel how the ink makes up the numbers on the corner, which is very impressive
Scott Adkins did a fantastic job as Killa! Loved this film, France sequence was amazing!
This movie was so heat, the choreography, cinematography, emotion, ending was all great.
Scott Atkins in the Fat Suit was brilliant.
Yeah, he was absolutely superb.
it is so rare to see a franchise "one up" themselves with every movie, this entire journey was flawless in my eyes, this is gonna be a lot of fun to sit and binge watch one day
Glad to see you react to John Wick 4, it definitely was one of the few times where I felt that 3 hours in a theater was the best time I ever spent, also thank you to all the actors who spent so much time to make sure they gave us the most authentic experience possible and of course the bouncer Sven for being the wonderful character known as Klaus
I am Klaus
Scott Adkins played Killa, the card dealer, and did the card tricks for real. He's wearing a fat suit. HE has acted in a movie previously with Donnie Yen: Ip Man 4 (he played an even larger role there). Also, he played weapon XI in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He also played one of the villains in Doctor Strange.
15:50 They made getting killed by doorbell so much fun in this movie. XD
One of my favorite scenes 19:45 was the fact that Caine actually asks, "You dead John?" to both bait a response out of John and also show concern if he actually had killed him. I remember everyone in the theater all held their breath and waited silently along with John because it felt like Caine was listening for all of us to make a peep.
Donnie Yen absolutely "kills" it.
26:56 the irony in John having a pair of Aces and Eights, also known as “the dead man’s hand” a really cool detail I loved from when I saw it in theaters
In these movies I don't trust deaths unless I see a body. Still, if we don't see John Wick 5, this was a hell of a finale.
I believe they set it up for either way. To continue with John or spin off movies.
41:40 "Spongebob me boy, yer obligation to the table is satisfied."
The dogs head moves during the funeral scene just like when he fell into the alley. No way John is dead.
38:37 - 38:56 That long tumble down the stairs scene its too fucking hilarious, I can’t get over that!🤣🤣🤣
6:22 "It has been an honor..."
RIP Lance Reddick
It certainly has indeed... been an honor.
28:04 There's a lot of Cantonese speakers in my community so every scene when Caine speaks and cusses out in Cantonese was absolute music to our ears.
Watching this in theaters was crazy, now that you’ve seen this I highly recommend watching Extraction 1 & 2
I haven’t watched them? Any good?
Donnie Yen's character kicks ass in this movie. He just moves quicker than anyone else and has those powerful multi punches, gotta love it. If u haven't checked out Ip Man the now would be a good time to get familiar bro. Have a good day
I do love the radio station aspect
Scott Adkins' character cracked me up because it was obvious he was wearing a fat suit, and instead of fighting like a fat guy, he fought like a ripped dude wearing a fat suit.
I think it's neat that this movie reunited Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins who plays Killa. Fun fact: In the lore, the writers confirmed that after the High Table appointed Killa to the head seat of the Germany section of the organization, he basically let himself go and gained a lot of weight. Prior to that, he was a talented and strong killing machine. Scott Adkins thoroughly enjoyed the idea of putting on a fat suit to fight John Wick. It was a bit challenging but so awesome to see.
If anyone didn't remember, Scott also played the evil drill instructor that Donnie Yen fought as Ip Man in Ip Man 4: The Finale and has been in a lot of action films.
Fun fact: This film was gonna come out on the same day as Matrix Resurrections.
Thank God it didn't, cause that would've been a box office massacre on the Matrix.
This might be might favorite out of the 4 just because of how insane the third act is. I feel like the action in the other 3, while still consistently good, it always peaked before the climax. I personally didn't care about the Viggo fight, the Ares fight, or the Zero fight. But in this film, the whole third act had me at the edge of my seat (Literally, cuz I saw it on 4DX) with one crazy action scene after another, leading to a beautifully shot duel that had me invested on both Caine and John, and ending with what, in my opinion, is THE most satisfying villain death in the whole franchise.
I’m surprised that none of the 4 John Wick movies have disappointed me
Exactly bro. Same. Not one. All of them are good. Some people complain about not liking 3 as much but I thought it was excellent
This movie has non stop action from start to finish.
Thank god I wasn't the only one calling him Jidion the whole time
There’s actually a credit scene that a lot of people seems to miss
i dont think he's dead, even while watching i thought it was obivous that they faked his death, so he can now live in peace somewhere else. they would've made his death more clear
The most unrealistic thing about these movies is how John survives those falls
john wick 4 and the raid 1, 2 are solidified for the best action films ever made
this movie was wild in the cinema. especially Donnie Yen's performance. it was 10x hurtful when Charon dies knowing his actor dies in real life.
That Hotline Miami/Bird’s Eye View POV went CRAZY….36:45🕴🏿
rip the boogeyman
he's prolly not dead tho, the dirt is still untouched and u see how winston said "who knows" when asked is john in heaven or hell
I cannot praise this film enough! I’m speechless!
Donnie Yen is the true MVP of this movie.. The legend of action movies is speechless in this movie, performance top notch
And who else reckons the ending is a flash forward to the ending of chapter 5? Wouldn't surprise me if they took a leaf out of breaking bad time jumps
This movie has entered ranks of best action movies of all time up there with terminator 2, and aliens
John Wick 3 is my favorite. It easily has the best action imo. The library fight (killing a dude with a book!!!), the knife fight, the horse fu, the dog fu, the motorcycle fight, the video game style sequence near the end where he’s battling enemies and moving up to the next level to fight the next wave before eventually fighting the final boss. And I loved the beginning, counting down the minutes before his excommunication goes into effect.
You realize the actor playing Caine is same actor played blind guy in ROGUE ONE
Impossible to tell due to the differences in appearance, but the Marquis is played by the same actor (Bill Skarsgard) who played Pennywise in It Chapter's 1 and 2.
I saw this movie in IMAX and it was incredible. The 4th chapter is my fav
I refuse to believe he’s dead not just cuz it didn’t look like there was enough damage done to him to kill him (compared to what he’s been through) but also cuz that’s a really bad death for him he deserves a much better end
He's free from the table, why would they fake his death? For what reason? He's free. The only thing he wanted was his freedom and being next to his wife. That's how this all thing started, him looking at a video of his wife. And they put a fake tombstone next to her?
@@marcioruas4036exactly. Only thing that John would have needed to worry about if he didmt die was if someone had a marker that he owed a debt to.
@@gregory3499 Even that, he's free from anything from the table, the markers are a thing from the table, he's off.
This, Extraction and Mission Impossible are by far my favorite action movies
This is most definitely one of the best John wick movies ever!! I absolutely loved it so much bruh it had me on edge of my seat the whole entire movie and glad i got to experience all of them in theatres. I appreciate your reaction brother. ❤
I saw this film in IMAX. It was pure adrenaline and madness, and I loved every minute of it!! Great reaction bro! 👍🏿
The Fat Club Owner Guy is Scott Atkins a martial art actor .
John Wick 5 is already in works
Wick will return
Or it will be the job that made him retire in the first place (like a kind of prequel for the first movie)
Non-stop action, cinematography, and I agree on the uniqueness of all the characters.
Every single one of them is so damn cool man 🔥
14:45 I know it's the wrong films but... whenever someone comes at the protagonists and side-characters sporting the all-bullet proof armor, I immediately think of the one scene from LOTR: The Two Towers
"Their armor is weak... at the neck, and below the arm." -Legolas
The arrows are definitely armor-piercing and combined with enough pull strength with the bows that were used, quite deadly. Maybe the guy that was pinned by the knee to the wall wasn't fully bullet-proof there since it looks like the High Table Japanese troops favored the upper body armor more than the New York soldiers from the 3rd film. I could be wrong about that though.
Plus, seeing the sword do its work after he successfully gets in close was really cool.
The Harbinger is played by Clancy Brown who I've been aware of since Shawshank in the 90s. He was also in Detroit: Become Human as the old washed up detective who serves as your NPC helper when playing as the robot cop main character. What I never ever knew before recently though is that Clancy has been providing a voice to Mr Krabs all this time!
They're called "nunchaku" or nunchucks, not numb-chucks (that's how I thought I heard you pronounce it).
The shot from above is a one take, i watched the director talking about it and how they had to reset and start from the beginning if there was a mistake. Probably one of the coolest shots in any action movie at least imo. Fucking love John wick, he better not actually be dead and they better make a 5th. He needs to completely take down the hight table. I think what I love most about John is he's a killing machine, the best at his craft yet he's a genuinely kind man who just wants to rest and live in peace even though he could use his talents to take down countries if he wanted to
@ 27:09 All professional card decks have raised numbers for the vision impaired.
@ 42:48 Did they? John is alive and well. Look at his grave, something doesn't belong. Also keep in mind John could of ended that duel in one shot. Instead Caine and John just grazed each other. Lastly, When the king asks Winston if he's in Heaven or Hell. Winston says nonchalantly "Who knows". The king realized Winston helped John fake his death and started laughing. The clues are all there.
Am I bugging or he missed the post credits? Also, the actor for Killa is Scott Adkins- he's one of the best martial artists alive making movies right now. He was wearing a fat suit so he didn't have to gain that much weight for the role. Also there's no way John is dead in my opinion. He's survived much more fatal injuries than the gunshot wounds he received.
Just didn’t include it in the edit but I saw it lol
this john wick movie was so good that they decided to make another one even tho this was the last one
If you judge action movies purely by their action this is the greatest action movie of all time hands down
JW is one of the rare occasions where each movie is better than the last one
The osaka scene in the theater was so amazing like 10/10 other people say its the top down scene which is cool but at the movies the sequence in osaka was incredible 10/10 its like 7-8/10 at home.
i would agree that both the Osaka and top-down scenes were amazing in the cinema
Movie is good. I went to the movies with my friends late at midnight and fell asleep in the middle of it and missed a bit lol. But I rewatched it when it came out on streaming service
I dont think John is dead not only are there some subtle hints as winston kinda answers the browery king open ended, but also focusing on the dog reaction for a bit and also well the directors and keano reeves said themselves that john wick 5 could happen and that the ending is purposely left open ended especially if the movie did well and of course it did, but this is one of my favorite movies this year and probably movie of the year if not for spider verse and even then, but amazing movie and yeah
Here we freaking go! This is an epic masterpiece to wrap up the legend of John Wick.
When Wick 3 was in theaters, Wick 4 and 5 was confirmed. 5 is currently on pause. Seems 5 won't have John Wick in it. Which makes no sense I know lol.
Oh yes I wanna see this. This movie was phenomenal the whole way through
I love this movie so much. The whole franchise is so bad-ass! I love the scene in that building with the overhead shots, thats some Hotline Miami type of shot, like you're in a video game!
My least favorite thing of this movie though was how clean John looked at the end, just before the duel. White shirt, not a scuff, not dirty, no blood, not even any scuffs or damage to his face. He looks too clean. All those hits he took, bullets deflected from his suit, he still would have been bruised and bled even just a little here and there. Thats my only real nit-pick from the movie.
Another action movie u should watch is Extraction, amazing stuns and fights by Chris Hemsworth, and many of shots are one take and it looks amazing
John wick 1 for the story John wick 4 for the action
Seeing this in theaters was amazing and the one shot was done so well, that's probably my favorite part of the movie. Did you see the extra credit scene though?
I did just didn’t include it
I would love to see your reaction to both Extraction movies
There is a post credit scene btw
Hope you did not miss the after credit scene with Caine ♥
Apparently a John wick 5 is in the making, unclear if it’ll be a prequel or a spin off, or John wick not actually being dead, but I feel like it is a good ending for John wicks story, a prequel of how he got out the first time would he great
Rumors that John Wick 5 in development.
So they’re still discussing the possibility of a fifth film mainly because of how much money this one made. So they did leave it ambiguous enough that maybe he’s not dead yet and maybe the goal of the ending from the third film where he was going to take on the entire high table can still be fulfilled, but in a different way, now that he is considered dead. However, if this is the end, I’m still happy with it. Do know that there is a spinoff called ballerina. I will be coming out in June of next year focused on on Ana de armas. And Keanu, Reeves, and Lance Reddick will be in it I don’t know in what capacity, but it will be taking place between the events of three and chapter 4.
Always love watching your content. You’re a dope reactor. Keep up the Fantastic videos.
i'd recommend you watch The Raid movies ( 1 and 2 ). The action in these is easily on par with the john wick series.
Great reaction once again!
This was an amazing experience in the cinema, full of awesome action scenes and character interactions (Scott Adkins was great). My absolute favourite section of the movie is the whole segment in Paris over the night, that roundabout shootout and that incendiary shotgun shootout!
Caine and Killa (Scott Adkins) were unique characters, almost out of a comic book. I enjoyed the more "comic like" world building this movie has, it gives the franchise a cool identity of its own whilst keeping the action choreography done well enough that it is relatively grounded for the most part. It's an interesting blend. I didn't feel the runtime either! When you were wondering about expanding the world of this franchise, there is a spin-off called Ballerina which should be released next year.
Overall I think the first movie is just about my favourite (they're all so good it's difficult to rank them). The sequels are all almost neck and neck I feel. This is what action cinema should strive to be!
Ya missed the post-credit scene! It's not much but it's there. Also they're making another one and I hope they don't show us any of it before it comes out. There are a lot of hints in this movie and the previous ones that would point to John's wounds not being lethal and him faking his death.
Looks like you missed the end credit.
I think there is a white pixel stuck on the facecam? under and to the left of the wolf in the background. It's still in the same spot, even when you move the facecam around on the video. So it's not my monitor. It doesn't look like a reflection from the background, because it's still there when you move your head in front of it. At 18:16 it flickers back and forth. So it might be something digital?
Hey primate, the Menu (2022) would be a great movie to watch in the future
When we watched JW4 I sorta assumed that Mr Nobody was somehow Halle Berry's character's brother or cousin or something because of the dog element. Like maybe they both trained w/ dogs together or one trained the other, etc... It seemed almost obvious IMO but they never even mention her character in this film IIRC and so it's just a random dude w/ a doggo for having doggo action's sake, which is fair enough. I still can't help that I thought he had something to do w/ her though.
That’d be a cool connection
Gotta watch extraction 1 and 2
Well crafted series foreal! Wish i saw then all in theatres tho my only regret.
Good movie
I highly recommend “extraction” and extraction 2
I’ll add them to the list!
Primate please watch street kings knock knock n speed wt keeanu u will lov all of dem especially strret kings d firepower in dat 😮❤😊
You no that trailer for John wick trailer 5 is out
I'm not sure but i think JW is the only franchise ever where every movie is the best one, thats insane : P
This is awesome the extraction movies are bonkers are u going to watch the new mission impossible in theaters or u going to wait for the channel
Alright, time for everyone to recommend ip man now lets goooo👍👍👍
Awesome reaction as always!!
I actually thought they said they would make 6 but i guess not 🤔
Great reaction! I love the endibg. ✌️❤️
Did you miss the end credit scene?
Did u ever watch the post credits scene?
Did you see the post credit scene?
Yes!
Primate are you dedicated to yourself or to the cause?
Lionsgate has announced a 5th John Wick because money...
Hey as long as it keeps this level of quality, I'm all for it.
👀
You didn’t see the post credit scene!!!!
I did just wasn’t in the edit
I hate what they did with this series. In the first movie John is losing cautiousness after being hit by a single car and in this one he runs away after being hit by multiple, jumping from the third floor and so on. It went from realism into fantasy...
He never full on gets hit by the cars in this movie, he jumps onto the hood to lessen the impact. But yeah when he jumped out of the third floor he shouldve been knocked out atleast. I was wondering why he even jumped out like that when he just took down like 20+ people right before that
Day 8 of asking Primate to watch Gravity Falls
Yesssssssss so good
Don’t stop
Yess he would love it fs
I second that again
Day 3 me asking you to stop
