disagree more so that cup stacking killed itself... speed stacking could have been relevant if the WSSA and Speedstacks company actually cared about the sport
That's fair, I'm not really involved in the cup stacking scene that much so I don't know all of the details. I just saw this and thought it would make a good video, and my audience is mostly cubers so I had to involve it.
well for example stackers absolutely hated the 4 pad mode change and how it reset records WSSA doesn't seem to be very in touch with the stackers that make up the community as far as I am aware. I will say I am a cuber, and don't know absolutely everything about stacking, but from my outsider knowledge which is limited to some extent, that is what I see.
@@Stuffedcube Wow, from my experience I have never heard anyone talking about speedstacking nor seen it happening. Maybe it's because I'm from a smaller country aka Finland where these events are very rare but then again idk.
0:48 "Guess how many views this video got" Me: idk.... 6.1k I guess? 0:54 "well you're completely wrong, it has 6 thousand views" Me: OH MY GOD I GOT IT RIGHT!?!?!?
Speedcubing is just more impressive. Speedcubing not only needs speed and precision, but it also requires good muscle memory on hundreds of algorithms and the ability to react to the next algorithm quickly while thinking about what will happen next. Think about it and try speedcubing if you haven't already. I promise it's a lot harder than speed stacking.
fisrt of all 0:51 he got 6k wievs but you got 450 which is underrated af second i want to start a cubing channel like a rewiev type thing do you think text or something like that (without my voice) will work out
I’d love to see content made about speed stacking and cubing, but I have to disagree with your take. If anything killed or is killing speed stacking, it’s probably itself. This is like saying table tennis killed tennis, which makes no sense. They’re two different sport, and each has their own popularity, enthusiasts, and fan base. One is not better than the other. Surely the popularity of speed stacking might have dropped, but many different factors are at play. Still, thanks for making the video. Keep sharing.
It wasn't really about cubing killing stacking, I just saw this and wanted to make a video about it. And because my audience is mostly cubers I had to connect it that way, and because speedcubing and speed stacking have been closely related, I gave it that title.

That makes sense, thanks for letting me know.
yeah in fact at one point i acc wanted to go to a speed stacks comp but found out they don't host them in the same way as the wca
Max Park is actually really big into speed stacking. He might bring some life back into it
Maybe?
yes but no
The funny thing is cubing actually helps the speed stacks brand a lot cause they buy all their timers and give them a lot of buisness
That's fair
It’s like video killed the radio star but replace video with cubing and radio star with speedstaking
Nah it's just that speedstacking has never really been a big thing, cubing is more mainstream and just looks cooler.
Really?! I had to learn cup stacking in gym class. It was honestly one of the most fun days of the year.

@@Arcticgdnmore damn, I live in us, but I'm about 4.5 hours away from Canada. so kinda in the middle.
Just because speedcubing is more popular than speedstaching doesn't mean it killed it. It's like saying that basketball killed darts.

So true!!! 5s stack cycles are ezzzzzzzzz bro but sub5 minutes on cube!!!!! Wowowowowowowwo my respect!!!!!!!!! Woaaahhhh impressive OMAGOD
Not every event needs to be famous. Actually not being famous is a good thing. Less focus on the game, less competition, more fun
Honestly true

i guess the same timer lol

Bro the title says that speed cubing killed speed stacking and you are saying that isn’t what the video is about how is that not lying
kinda vaporous video

@@Stuffedcube just a less mean way of saying this is a video basically about nothing
I mean, fair. It was kind of a quicker video, just thought the topic was interesting and wanted to make a quick video about it.
i personally got to witness ryan's squan wr in person AND it was my first comp so that definitely made me want to go to more!
Holy sh*t that's actually so cool.
Yo you comment on my vid 7 months ago and you offered to edit my vids for me for free and I got some clips can you edit them ?
Sorry I can't do that anymore
I wanna. Start a cubing channel any tips 😅
The only tip I can give you is just to start. Just make videos and they will progressively get better. (Ps: I'm not the best person to ask.)
@Stuffedcube I know but I love the vids your making.wha5 editing app do you use
I use the desktop capcut, but davinci resolve is better.
