    These geniuses are amazing. When the Rubiks Cube came out in the 80s my record from a messed up cube was 29 seconds and I was so proud of it. There was someone I knew at the time that looked at a cube and did it behind his back. These new acts are just stunning. Thnx 4 sharing

    4:08 All cards have a corner cut beforehand. The magician shows about 8 or 9 cards, it does not matter which one is chosen, because up to 16 cut corners can be hidden in the cube pieces. When selecting the 6 of diamonds, the magician only has to remember in which of the cube pieces the corner of the selected card is hidden.

    • @marksauce2383

    • @nemesisVtuber
      @nemesisVtuber 6 місяців тому +1

      @@marksauce2383 he ripped it off in a very specific way. Same as he ripped off the piece to put in cube.
      His previous tricks are memorizing turn order. People solving rubic's cube blindfolded.
      So he prepared rubic by turning some sides, got a memory of how and where to turn sides. Then gave it to Simon and watched which sides he turned. So it's easy for him to prepare his cube to match.
      If Simon hid cube under desk and changed some sides - trick would've failed. But of course this is show, so they agreed beforehand on what to do and what to avoid.

    He's good, but I'm pretty sure I know how the trick starting at 12:04 is done. The conjurer has 2 regular cubes that are prearranged to the same pattern as the large cube that Simon's been told to guard (note that Simon's not given the opportunity to scramble the large cube). Then the conjurer gives Howie a regular cube (he tells Howie that he can grab either one but Howie isn't really given a fair choice). The 2rd regular (prearranged) cube he pretends to manipulate behind his back while Howie's manipulating his, but he just puts it back the way that it was. If you watch, after he retrieves Howie's cube he takes it behind his back. The 3rd regular (prearranged) cube is somehow hidden in a secret pocket somewhere behind his back before the trick begins. Somehow using sleight of hand he exchanges Howie's cube for this 3rd cube. So now he has the 2 cubes in his hand that were both prearranged with exactly the same pattern as Simon's large cube. While Howie's cube is hidden away somewhere behind his back. Easy -- if you can do the sleight of hand stuff without being noticed. :)

  • @xeridea
    @xeridea 7 місяців тому

    For the first few, solving to a specific state isn't hard for skilled cubers, so copying the other is fairly straightforward. Many can even solve a cube blindfolded. The ripped up card in corner is easy, prestuff all the corners and some edges with card denominations, and carefully rip the same so it matches. For quick sleight of hand solves, you can mix it such that it looks shuffled, but takes few moves to solve, though it is still fairly impressive... or some modern E-ink, notice he had to completely cover temporarily before tossing up. The large cube is likely prearranged cubes swapped behind the back as there is no way to manipulate the large cube, and without photographic memory no one likely to notice a switch. The most impressive cube solving I saw was solving 3 cubes.... while juggling them. This isn't really cubing skills, just various ways to avoid people noticing shenanigans, though figuring out tricks is in general much easier than your typical magician. The 9 YO actually more impressive (not even considering age).

      They have a parabolic microphone with the camera to pick up sounds from where the camera is pointing. Look up "parabolic microphone." Unlike the toy ones, the pro ones are AMAZINGLY sensitive AND precise. They are used extensively in nature videography, scientific study, and well...spying.

      Perhaps there are various mics and cameras scattered around, and they just pick interesting things people say out.

    It's mostly newer technology. His Rubick's cube is not a standard cube. Its like many small LCD tv's he can program the colors to change.

    Brundage and Chen are from a different galaxy not just a different planet! No matter how many times you replay and pause you can't see the moment the switch was made or how it was done! Brundage throws the mixed cube in the air and its already solved on the way up! Chen crushes the cube and it turns into M&M's right in front of you! Unexplainable!

    They laughed when they heard that he was from Romania, but until they have people who can do a Rubik's cube blindfolded in such a short time, he still needs to drink milk. We have geniuses in chess and artificial intelligence, etc

    On a cube opposite of green is blue, so the solid colouring of brad pitt would corrospond with equal solid colouring to start with.

    At 29:11,
    2 sec is not 1-2
    It's 0-1-2. I asked several people to count 3 second and they all start at 1. You have to start to 0. Only one has done it right so far.

      It’s not wrong, it’s just depending on how you’re measuring time. Both are the same.
