Amen ! I too am a convert , having been raised Protestant.. entered Communion with the Church at 65 . Never have I known my Lord as I do now ! God bless you brother , for this testimony. ❤
Wow!...I'm a cradle Catholic and you've now mentioned something I hadn't thought of or heard before " Jesus didn't give us a format for holding a church service" you're so right. All Jesus said was "every time you come together, do this (Eucharist) in memory of me". I'm so happy my brother in Christ, that you are back in the fold.
Actually Jesus did with and through His Apostles and disciples, as this gentleman mentioned, as oral tradition. There was a Liturgy of the Word from the Word Himself. Scripture was being spoken long before it was written. Many of the writings of the early Church Fathers are homilies. The Psalms were sung by the Jewish people and many in the early Church were Jewish converts to Christianity. Then there was the Liturgy of the Eucharist or breaking bread. Some of the practices in the Mass are carried over from tradition. For example, there is no need to cut the wine today with Holy (blessed) Water. In the early Church, the wine had to be diluted. Many of the symbolism in the book of Revelation can be seen in the Mass (e.g. lamp stands, incense, communion of Saints, Mary as the Queen of Heaven, Holy, Holy, Holy (4:8), etc.). The sad thing about our Protestant brothers and sisters is that many are so anti-Catholic that they miss the Scriptural basis of the Mass and Catholicism as a whole. The Catechism has all the Scriptural references. God will call them home to the Catholic Church in His time. I think all the craziness in the world has been a wake-up call and many are coming to or are returning to the Church. There is a great series on www.ewtn.com/tv/watch-live/united-states called "The Reformation." Last month's episode was all about Luther. The next episode will cover the Protestant fracturing based on theological disputes. It airs August 7 @ 5:30 PM ET, August 8 @ 10 AM ET and 11:30 PM. EWTN.com has a bunch of worldwide TV and radio channels, so you can often pick up showings on the Europe, Africa and Asia streams. The Canada stream is the same as the US. There are streams in German and Spanish too.

You cannot be a Catholic and obey the Lord! First, the gospel, the true gospel is, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." When I ask a Catholic if this is true, you won't believe the commotion I cause! So, dear Catholic, pay attention to what your leaders will do - and Catholic leaders, be honest! I am simply asking if the words of Paul are true! Is it true that, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved"? Yet, Catholics do not believe Paul. For example, one Catholic said, "Paul's words are true, but there is more to it than that." Do you catch that? It is double speak! "It is true, but it is not true!" That is the absurd position of the Catholic church! One Catholic said, "Shall be saved" is the same as "Might be saved." Oh really? I suggest that you go back to college and retake English 101! Instead, Catholics teach, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord, is baptized Catholic, and partakes of Catholic communion MIGHT be saved." First, dear Catholic leader, I want to be accurate about what you teach! That is, have I misrepresented the Catholic gospel here? I ask that, but no Catholic has dared answer yes or no! Be honest! Yes or no! Your eternity is in the balance. Eternal heaven or eternal hell is based on your honesty with God! Secondly, is it not obvious that you have a different, a very different, gospel? Paul writes, "Whoever preaches a different gospel, let him be accursed." So, I will ask once again, do you agree with Paul that, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved"? Moreover, all your sins will be washed away by the blood of Christ Who died upon the Cross for your sins (I John 1.7). The Holy Spirit will abide with you (John 14.17), Christ and the Father will make Their home with you (John 14.23), and the Holy Spirit will bear witness that you are saved (Romans 8.16). Jesus said, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." However, to those condemned, He will say, "Depart from Me; I never knew you." Hence, the difference between heaven and hell is whether or not you know the Lord! Yet, how do you get to know the Lord? Yet, you can know Christ - just by asking! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
Mr. Truth I believe it is God because 1 John 1:9 it says "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness". I don't think it would mean anyone other than God. Also the verse says nothing about confessing and the apostles never forgave anybody's sins in the New Testament.

I have seen the power of the early intentions of my Polish Catholic-raised parents with their Catholic wedding and then mine and my sisters Baptisms. The path seemed to end there as far as our practicing the faith went. But now, years later, I have been brought back to it with full faith and so much understanding by the Holy Spirit. Obviously, the two gospels are different! Yet, Paul wrote that anyone who preaches a different gospel, let him be accursed. Hence, I revealed the Cathlic gospel and it is clearly different that what Paul wrote. However, Catholics will take all kinds of rabbit trails, from ignoring my two basic questions to condemnation of my 'personal' interpretation of the gospel. Yet, I am not interpreting anything! Same here. I knew NOTHING from Cath school, etc., was the early to late 70s. Luckily was brought back in after being Baptist for 3 yrs (multiple others for several years,), by a person who had their theology degree from Franciscan Univ in Steubenville. I was BLOWN AWAY the first class & all in by 2nd! If not for moving & not know where to go to church bc there were pages & pages in the yellow pages, so went to Cath church down the road bc I at least knew what to expect & the class was starting that week. Fir year & a half. Now, it's been 27yrs. Also, discovered Latin Mass 5-6 yrs ago. It's heaven on earth! Enjoyed the video! You grasped very good points & explained them well. The thing about the Church is because it's so old, it's so rich, and so beautiful!!! Since he made that video, he may not have realized the evil in the Church as well. Evil is everywhere in this world. Satan is ramping up in govt, schools, regular conservative society, hospitals, the sciences, everywhere, by confirming to the "Age". This has been since the Fall, but mainly since Christ had His first defeat of Satan in the desert & ultimately on the cross. Our Church has been infiltrated by modernists, Freemasons, and communism/Marxist ideology, paganism, ecumenism to the point of detriment to the Church's identity. Not to mention allowing the immoral priests to continue serving who abused children, seminarians, adults & nuns. When they should have been defrocked. So is the way of Satan to take down the One, True, Apostolic Church who has it's roots from Peter from Christ. Which had been the beacon of Christianity for 1500 yrs until the end of governing and church and state was split, which caused a worse corruption- atheists in Europe governing the people and doing away with religious liberties and Christian morality as a whole. The point is, just as Peter betrayed Jesus 3xs, the apostles didn't show up at the foot of the cross but repented. Does not mean you abandon the Church. Evil is everywhere, you stand and fight (with prayer, fasting, alms and gentle "activism") against it to correct it. God bless+. The true Church will be revealed one day. It has been to many already. Scripture says ONE CHUCH. There are over 40,000 denominations and non-denominational of Christianity. DO the homework, the roots. Just as he says about the writing of the early church fathers and they had "mass" and the Eucharist then. Reread John 6 as Jesus explicitly commands the eating of His flesh, etc. Even though in the reality of bread, it becomes the reality of Jesus in the appearance of that bread. People turned away back then, as they do know, due to literally propaganda from Martin Luther et al. The French Revolution was an attempt to take down the Church by war. Why? Because they knew it's Christ's Church. Practicing satanists know it too. That's why they try to steal the Eucharist from attending Masses and why every Catholic Church should require Holy Communion on the tongue. I have witnessed this 3 x at a few churches and after communion in the hand walk right out. If I could have had a chance to run after one person I would have. Luckily the other two times, we had diligent ushers that watched to see them consume, but that can be disguised with their hand to their mouth as well. On the tongue is the way to go, plus only the priest has consecrated hands. I used to be an EM. The Lord called me out of it very strongly in my soul.
Love hearing the various conversion stories online nowadays from a different faith into Catholicism. Keep up the great work and I hope others who are considering jumping into the fullness of truth are encouraged by humble testimony like yours!
Hi Wallace, I absolutely loved your beautiful and powerful testimony, you made so many excellent points. I am also a convert to Catholicism, I was an atheist and after a powerful experience of God knew I wanted to become Catholic. That was in 1987 when I was 19 and I have been married to my loving Catholic husband for 22 years and have 3 children who all attend Catholic schools. Jesus told us to expect to be hated because of him and so many people believe nonsense about the Catholic church and are biased against us without ever looking honestly (and as you say) "fearlessly" at what the church believes. Jesus established our church! Other than the Orthodox churches that split from the church after 1,000 years and who we consider still coming from the True Vine, ALL other churches were founded by ordinary men and women NOT Christ! Something else to consider is "where did the bible come from?" It comes from the Catholic church! This is a historic fact which anyone can easily study and discover. As you say, for the first 300-400 years we did not have a bible, we had the sacred writings that would become the bible but they were scattered throughout the church in various locations together with other writings that were not later included in the bible. How did Christians survive? They formed communities from what they were taught by the disciples and Apostles of Jesus, oral tradition! The leadership and teaching was handed down from the Apostles to bishops, for centuries before we had the bible. The bible was codified by a Catholic church council - a meeting of the bishops - and through prayer and discernment they chose which books would be included and which to leave out. Also, any decision they made had to be confirmed by the bishop in Rome - the Pope. We also read a lot of scripture, at every Mass we have readings from the Old Testament, a Psalm and readings from one of the four gospels. We all stand to hear the gospel, the words of Jesus. For anyone reading this who wants to know more, get a copy of the Catholic Catechism (if you can't afford one or get one at your local library ask any Catholic parish who will be happy to lend you one). This is a book telling you EXACTLY what Catholics believe and what the church teaches. Wallace, God bless you my brother in Christ. May Jesus continue to bless you and please make more UA-cam videos!
I’m pretty sure Jesus didn’t form the Catholic Church either especially when considering that those early founders of the church were doing so well doing everything as they were told... except when they were like “hmm let’s mix our teachings with politics what could wrong...” in this process they lost their relationship with god but they didn’t know. Corruption began the fear of god was gone (and still is for the most part but it’s still there slightly) Many say it’s all about worshipping god and all that but the thing is the relationship you keep with god ultimately decides where your soul ends up and almost every religion that falls under Christianity has lost that. Instead they focus on converting and seeing “oh who has the most members and most influnce” and that angers me
The Qounaistado Jesus is someone who rebuilds and not leave church when things go wrong!! Check yourself whom u r following!! There’s also a different spirit and different Jesus!! Search the scriptures!!

@@crobeastness My story is long, so I'll try it to condense it as much as possible. From the time I was young, I had a deep desire to know the truth. As a result, when it came time for me to decide big questions like "Does God exist?" I always leaved any emotional attachments to the way I was raised aside, and examined all the arguments in favor and against the proposition. When I was 12, I came to the conclusion that God existed. When I was 14, I came to the conclusion that Jesus Christ truly rose from the dead, and therefore had to be the true God. However, when I was 15 I ran into a problem. I realized Sola-Sciptura didn't make sense. I believed that the Bible was the sole authority of faith for a Christian, yet found that there were thousands of interpretations/denominations- all of which claiming to be inspired by the Holy Spirit. I found it very hard to believe that God didn't leave us any source of truth that could correct us. As a result, I studied church history, and began to look into the conversion story of various Catholics. After about a year, I concluded that Catholicism was the One True Faith. However, I didn't care all the much. I subscribed to merely the IDEA of Catholicism, but never truly followed Christ in my heart. It wasn't until 1 year later, when I was 16 years old, that I heard about Our Lady's message at Fatima. I realized that I was going to be damned if I didn't not change my life. As a result, I ran over to my local parish, and met a saintly Monsignor. From there, I started praying four rosaries a day. After two weeks of doing that, I was freed from various sins of impurity, never to return again. At that moment, I TRULY realized that Catholicism was the ONE TRUE FAITH. Hope this helps!

I keep hearing, no!; Paul left so many things out! Yet, it really is that simple. However, apparently as a 'protestant', my opinion does not matter. Therefore, I will not give my interpretation of what Paul means; instead, I will simply quote Bible verses. That is, my opinion counts for nothing, but will you argue with the Word of God? What does salvation look like? It is written, ask and you shall receive (Matt 7.7), you shall be born again (John 3.3), made into a new creation (2 Cor 5.17), you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit (Mark 1.8), and have 'rivers of living water bubbling up inside you' (7.38). Concerning works and salvation, if you abide with Christ, you will bear much fruit (John 15.5). Yet, do not forget Paul's qualifier, "If indeed the Holy Spirit dwells within you." Jesus said, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." However, to those condemned, He will say, "Depart from Me; I never knew you." Hence, the difference between heaven and hell is whether or not you know the Lord! Yet, how do you get to know the Lord? Jesus said, "How much more will My Father give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." Catholics dishonor the tradition of the apostles, outright contradicting the Apostle Paul. Yet, you can know Christ - just by asking! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
@@paulhill7726 How does a person call on the Name of the Lord? Jesus said, "How much more will the Father give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." That is, all you have to do is ask! In my own case, I heard the gospel when I was 17. Shortly after, I walked onto the lawn of a church one night and prayed my first prayer, "Is there Jesus? I would like to meet Him!" When I met the Lord, all heaven filled my soul and it felt like my heart was made out of gold. I walked away thinking, "That was heaven, but I am on earth. What is heaven doing on earth?" That was 44 years ago and since that time, I can honestly say that I have not had even one second of doubt that I know Christ and am bound for heaven - not even for a second. As it is written, Christ will send the Holy Spirit to abide with us! That is salvation! You simply have a meeting with Christ. Do not take my word for it! Jesus said, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." Sadly, to the condemned, He will say, "Depart from Me; I never knew you." Do you see the common factor here? Heaven or hell is predicated on whether or not someone knows the Lord. Yet, how do you meet God? Simple! "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." That is, just ask! I hope that you will have a meeting with Christ! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
@@paulhill7726, he is quoting Romans 10:13 where St. Paul is quoting Joel 3:5. St. Peter also quoted Joel on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:21. He also told the crowd to repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins. Acts 2:38 "Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about 3,000 persons were added that day." Acts 2:41 St. Paul bookends his letter to the Romans with the phrase, "the obedience of faith." He explains that phrase at length in chapters 6-8 and 12-15. It's best not to base one's theology by pulling a verse from the Bible and taking it out of context. Dr. Brant Pitre has many videos on UA-cam that will help you along the way as does Bishop Robert Barron. God Bless you on your journey.
I agree. I've noticed the corruption in modern Protestant teaching. There's alot of self help introspective being tought. The message is "what can God do for me" How can I became wealthier, healthier, and happier. It convinces people to focus on me, myself, and I. I believe this is a form of Liberalism that's crept into the church. To cause people to be so focused and obsorbed in their own self that they become oblivious to what's taking place around them. Oblivious to how the enemy is attacking the church throughout the world, and oblivious to our call to help those in need around us. Thanks for sharing your story. God bless
It lacks the Spíritus of charity. Protestant teaching ask what can God do for man while catholic Christianity asks what can humanity do for God? How to better ourselves but then they claim we are believing in works based merit rather than grace , which isn't the case
cfG21 you do know many Christians are aware of that I mean literally the Bible says every religion doesn’t matter will be corrupted by evil in some way or another. You see I think if my math is right about 10% of those Protestants are actually legitimate Christians who do everything they are supposed to. About 7 percent will actually reach god. Many will start the journey but few will finish it
cfG21 charity? Really charity is that your concern??? My good sir if that’s what concerns you I think your personal and spiritual relationship with god is gone. True legitimate Christians care only about that (obviously they also care about other things like family and the souls they save) but that’s their number one priority I’ve seen many Catholics brag about how much good they are doing but I tell them “it all means nothing if you don’t have a relation with god and if you don’t even have the fear of god then you are in the wrong path”
Thank you for your wonderful testimony. I'm a life-long Catholic. I've experienced the force of protestant hostilities from friends towards my faith and yet I held on because I could not let the suffering of Jesus on the cross to be ignored for Jesus risen only and prosperity gospel. It seems to me that protestants are afraid to suffer for their faith.
There isn’t nothing wrong to be afraid to suffer for their faith. I mean we suffer quite a bit but it’s the only way to redirect us. You see you say many things but my priority number one is keeping my spiritual personal relation with god intact. You apparently have lost that. Suffering is only when you apart from him. There is no such thing as a life without tribulation. It’s just that it makes us stronger and makes us prepared for whenever the devil attacks. I don’t care about your experiences if they aren’t about being full of the Holy Spirit or worshiping uncontrollably and feeling unrelenting peace and feeling his presence. I only care for experiences about your relation with god not your thoughts about God.
Francesca: "It seems to me Protestants are afraid to suffer for their faith." Tell that to the thousands of Protestants tortured and burned at the state for their faith on the authority of the Roman Catholic Church over the centuries during the Italian and Spanish Inquisitions.
@@johnbrowne3950 Protestants persecuted Catholics as well, when the tables were turned in their favour, proving they were no better than the Inquisition, once obtained secular power.
On the Eucharist, Christ actually uses the Koine Greek word “trogon” which means very *literally* gnawing and chewing and was used to describe a wild animal crunching and chewing and gnawing on roots, seeds and grains (and alternately translated, raw meat). He couldn’t have said anything *more* literal. Anyway, welcome back home! I’m a recent revert about a year ago properly after spending a few years on the *sola fide* doctrine.
Bless you my brother. I converted in2010. I was called to the church. Coming from a Pentecostal and Baptist background a lot of my friends and family Didn't understand, but for me it was coming home.
@wallace Terrill maybe not, all you can do is love and pray for them. I don't try to get them to understand. I believe Jesus led me here. They have to be led too. Have you read the book "we believe"? Give a copy to someone you are really close to. It might help.
Welcome home brother! We love you! You are blessed by God to find the church that Jesus founded 2000 years ago. We are praying more for conversion like you.
Welcome back. God's grace is bountiful. It a great time to be in the Church. It is rocky now after the accussation of the Pope. But it's all in God Providence. Stay strong. As Sister Lucia said, everyone will come back to the Church.
Donny Vu God didn’t say that. Wait you don’t believe in what god said? Last I read was when god said many will commit to starting the journey but few will actually finish it. Let’s say your church is right if so I’m pretty sure you have a better chance of heaven then the pope ever will have
There is a magnificent book that I am reading by a lovely Catholic speaker/author Brant Pitre, entitled, “Jesus and the Jewish roots of the Eucharist”. He has written several books on these issues that the Catholic Church is facing against the world. It really brings home the importance of the Catholic Eucharist. I know you would love this set of books and it really opened my heart into the truth of how blessed we are to have this Eucharist. The next book I will be reading will be “Jesus and the Jewish roots of Mary“ by the same author. God bless you, welcome back!

@@kenshiloh Catholicism is “both/and.” Catholics certainly believe the WHOLE of scripture. You are leaving out all the verses that don’t conform to your truncated view of Christianity. Luther did the same thing. Luther misread St. Paul to conform to Luther’s heretical “Faith alone” novelty.
@@patquint3291 Hi. First, I am here to learn. If I have anything wrong about the Catholic faith, please let me know! Yet, from numerous posts, I have heard Catholics say that baptism and communion are necessary for salvation - all without any assurance of salvation. If you disagree, please, if you would, send a portion of the catechism or other 'official' Catholic ruling on the truth of my statement. Thanks! Christ said, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him (Luke 11.13)." That means that if you ask, you will receive. Paul echoed the words of Christ, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." Hi, I am Mike Keyser and also a recovered alcoholic with six years sober, and one who 'came home to Rome' from protestant-ism in 1985. It took a bit for me to catch on to Holy Eucharist, the specialness of The Mother of Jesus, and like you well aware of the Ark of the Covenant and finally connecting the dots to Mary the Virginal Ark of the New Covenant. I am certain that if I had not made a personal consecration to Mary in 1993, I would not have survived vodka stealing my life nine years later. For seven years I was a slave quite powerless except for pitiful tears beseeching Our Blessed Mother and Her Son Our Mighty Lord. THEY intervened at Church before Mass, Sunday March 10, 2013. Our forty first anniversary is next month, THEY kept us together! So yes indeed, call me a Mama's boy. I love my Heavenly Mother and because of Her, I love Jesus more reverently! And yeh-boy I love my Cathy!
I’ve experienced the Holy Spirit in my local Catholic Church through visits. The Priest I know well and he’s a genuine believer in Jesus. The format will appeal to some and not to others. I give over any questions I have about Catholicism to Jesus and continue to work on myself under His guidance. The idea the Catholics are not true believers is wrong and yet another devision in the body of Christ. Bless you, Brother. See you in heaven.
It's always a blessing to hear conversion stories. It strengthened my faith as a Roman Catholic and it is always a humbling experience to hear conversion stories being shared. Thank you sir 🙏❤️
here is a conversion atory for you. i was a Catholic and started reading the bible and studying theology. realized it was all bullshit and left the church. what a great feeling.
Welcome home, you made the best decision. I am cradle Catholic and my experience is that the more you dig into the Catholic church the more you fall in love with it, it's so rich and you cant exhaust its riches
Dearest sister in Christ, we are not conversing with the dead, we are asking those who have gone before us and who are now alive in heaven to continue praying for us, as they did on earth. Nothing more. Jesus himself told us that if we believed in him we would NEVER die. He even asks "do you believe this?".
Amen Brother this is indeed the one holy and apostolic catholic church that Jesus started 2000 years ago,I too am a convert ,thanks for sharing your story, peace be with you✌❤longing to recieve the precious body and blood of Christ again when this Corona virus plague is healed by God.
Thank you a million times. Love your testimony. God bless and thank you Jesus for dying for us and for blessed Mother Mary and for your Holy Catholic Church. God bless and keep you for this video
Thank you sir for your beautiful testimony. I know that this testimony is a good material for those protestant who are searching for truth and the real church founded by JESUS CHRIST. Good bless you and your family sir. Greetings from the PHILIPPINES.
Hello Catherine, To add to your point, a friend of mine is a former Baptist Minister. He always wondered why in seminary they only glossed over the early church. So, after 20+ years as a Baptist minister, he started reading the writings of the early church fathers and he realized how wrong the protestant rebellion was. He was raised to believe that Catholics prayed to Mary, prayed to statues, drank blood and that we call our priests “Father” in violation of the Bible. He also thought that we believed that everything that the Pope ever says is infallible. He also thought that he could read an English translation of the Bible & know better what it said that the early church fathers & the apostles. Basically he said that his mind had been twisted by those that have a hatred for the Catholic Church, God’s true church.
Absolutely TexasVet. We have to be fearless in our quest for truth and many of those criticizing Wallace have never truly investigated the truth of the history of Christianity with no bias.
As I've grown in wisdom through years of life experiences, I've come to love more and more my Holy Roman Catholic Church. Thank you father for giving me and my siblings this wonderful inheritance. Now I'm trying to find the way to have my almost 40 y/o son open his eyes to the truth and the beauty of the Catholic Church. Please pray for him that God may guide him to the RCC.
I am a cradle Catholic and I was always enjoy listening to converts to the faith and the reason being is that they are able to see things and appreciate things that those who are born within the church do not see. He gave excellent examples based on scripture on how the mass is celebrated and the one on how Mary is venerated in the church is the best example I have heard in my life. Mary is the ark of the new covenant makes complete sense to me and I have never heard it in that way before. He said a lot of things that made me pause and say wow. Thank you sir for allowing God to use you in this manner.
Thanks Ifeoma for the comment and kind words. These revelations were barriers to me when I started my journey. One by one they fell as I gained more knowledge. The one about Mary was a hard one for me as a protestant. It wasn't until I realized that she is the Arc of the New Covenant that I realized how she could be venerated. Protestants are never taught these things.
Just one thing: Luther criticised indulges which where oriented to build up churches OUTSIDE Germany. He complained about St. Peter's Basilica, but never about the cathedrals in the Holy Roman Empire. He was more of a nationalist than an orthodox believer.
You are quite right, there was a lot of discomfort in Germany because of all the money that flowed from Germany to Rome even among the clergy. And the German rulers were fully aware of this fact. This was at least one of the reasons for many of them to endorse the reformation and install their own church not without grabbing the land of the church to enrich themselves. To be fair is to acknowledgde that a part of the wealth of the catholic church was put into foundations to support the poor people.
@@piushalg8175 Which part of what wealth exactly? In Saxony, it was given to the ruler. And some lame asslickers got their part. Maybe a bit of this money was used for poors? Probably, as in Catholic monasteries you had friars helping the poors as well.
@@quickrat3348 Sorry, but I am not so familiar with history to give you an answer. I am pretty sure that a minor part was used for caretaking of the poor. And yes somehow this had been an important role of the catholic church before, and this gap had to be filled somehow. Some means were also used to establish schools which had been run by the catholic church formerly. Moreover I can say that a very important reason for the fact that the firty years war didn't stop after the emperor with the help of Wallenstein had triumphed more or less, was the request of the restitution of church property which the protestant rulers would't accept as a condition of peace.
@@piushalg8175 Exactly. Actually, the name Protestant came up because they protested not against Catholic dogmas, but agains an Imperial Diet that allowed some religious freedom and condemned the confiscation of ecclesiastical goods (either by Catholics or by Protestants). And they protested because, obviously, that was not interesting politically speaking to these Protestant Princes, like the Duke of Saxony and the Landgrave of Hesse.

Preach brother! My path very similar! Now I share the true good news with the Protestants (the protestors) and I see how judging and condemning and blind they are to even opening one ear to hear. It does take courage and fearlessness to go back and to uncover the truth. To be open to JC and to no longer follow men. I too am so grateful! You will see me in mass-I’m the one crying my heart out in thanksgiving for Gods great mercy upon even lil ole me to finally be home in the one true church where you can only receive the real presence of our LORD!!! PS - how I know the CC is Gods church? BC all the years i attended Protestors churches (baptist etc) they always always condemned and judged CC! But since ive become a C - not ONCE have I ever heard one bad word about any other church from the altar!!!
Respectfully, can you confirm that this is accurate - your belief that the CC is God's true church (a matter of eternal, indescribable importance for which there can only be one correct answer and one reality and one truth) is: you haven't heard anyone from the pulpit of your local Catholic church bad mouth another church? That's your evidence for this most essential matter of the soul? I've been to plenty of Evangelical churches where no bad-mouthing of either the Catholic church, or any other church, took place. In some cases, many would never dare bad-mouth anyone, due to their massively liberal tendencies. I guess, by your argument, they must be God's true church! It's undeniable...
As a Catholic by birth, I am always very inspired by brothers and sisters in Christ who have come (back) to the Catholic Church. Deeply inspired by your faith, by your courage, by your thirst for truth.

Concerning works and salvation, if you abide with Christ, you will bear much fruit (John 15.5). Yet, do not forget Paul's qualifier, "If indeed the Holy Spirit dwells within you."
Jesus said, "How much more will My Father give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him."

@@Archangelatis Hi. I won't take issue with your Creed, but would like to focus on Romans 10.13, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." That said, the Catholic gospel is, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord, is baptized Catholic, and takes Catholic communion MIGHT be saved." Secondly, is it not true that Catholics contradict Paul?
God bless you! One holy Catholic and Apostolic church!
Also, you can find the catechism online on the Vatican's website. Peace!
@wallace Terrill thank you Wallace, please make more videos! 🙏

@@JohnDought Priests are not just random men. They are consecrated by Bishops, who are the Apostles' spiritual heirs. The same Apostles to whom Jesus gave the Holy Spirit.
Priests absolve us from our sins "in the name of God the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." Not in their own name, as only God can forgive sins.

@@JohnDought Have a look what the Catechism says: ccc.usccb.org/flipbooks/catechism/258/index.html
Good question and Annette a is correct. Remember that the Sacraments are visible channels of God's grace given to the Church. The Priest via the Bishop and the unbroken succession of Bishops from St. Peter are given the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, which is a Divine Office to administer the Sacraments. The Priest in confession is operating in Persona Christi or the person of Christ. Next time you go to Mass, pay attention to the words the Priest uses when consecrating the Eucharist. @@unnikutta6514 im very interested in your story. how did you come to the conclusion that the roman catholic faith is the true faith and at such a young age? most of my friends and cousins have recently become secular unfortunately

Hi Wallace,
Like yourself, I was raised Catholic, my dad died when I was 17, (1969).Disillusioned, I left the church, the Holy Spirit began calling me back to Christianity in the protestant church,(1984), and in 2006, I knew I needed a church assembly, but disillusioned by the division even racial that I had seen in Protestantism, I literally cried out to God, "where do you want me to go to church?" @@paulhill7726 How does a person call on the Name of the Lord? Jesus said, "How much more will the Father give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." That is, all you have to do is ask!
In my own case, I heard the gospel when I was 17. Shortly after, I walked onto the lawn of a church one night and prayed my first prayer, "Is there Jesus? I would like to meet Him!" When I met the Lord, all heaven filled my soul and it felt like my heart was made out of gold. I walked away thinking, "That was heaven, but I am on earth. What is heaven doing on earth?"
That was 44 years ago and since that time, I can honestly say that I have not had even one second of doubt that I know Christ and am bound for heaven - not even for a second.

Welcome back Wallace, and God Bless you ,our beautiful church ,true and Apostolic, salvation for all believers!
Sounds like the church I’ve been going to for years.
The Gospel of Prosperity. So rife amongst Protestant Churches.
cfG21 you do know many Christians are aware of that I mean literally the Bible says every religion doesn’t matter will be corrupted by evil in some way or another.

J peterman33 😂

Paul echoed the words of Christ, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." However, when placed in the form of Romans 10.13, Catholics believe, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord, is baptized Catholic, and partakes of Catholic communion might be saved." Hi, I am Mike Keyser and also a recovered alcoholic with six years sober, and one who 'came home to Rome' from protestant-ism in 1985.

Thank you sir for your beautiful testimony. I know that this testimony is a good material for those protestant who are searching for truth and the real church founded by JESUS CHRIST. Good bless you and your family sir. Greetings from the PHILIPPINES.
Hello Catherine,
To add to your point, a friend of mine is a former Baptist Minister.
So inspiring!!!!

Welcome brother God bless you and your family I pray to our Lord Jesus Christ for all last sheep’s to come back
Just one thing: Luther criticised indulges which where oriented to build up churches OUTSIDE Germany.

I Proud of You, to convert the Catholic. God Blessed You and Your Family.🙏🙏🙏

Welcome HOME! God bless you.
Welcome home Wallace. You wandered in the wilderness for many years but God drew you back. Good testimony.
Welcome home.Wonderful testimony.👌
Wallace God bless you for this video!! God bless you and give you graces! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for sharing your story! So happy to have you back in the Catholic Church as my brother in Christ.
I think the keyword in Wallace's closing words is 'honest' ("I know there's no way you can't end up the way I ended if you're honest about it"). People may be tempted to turn a blind eye to the truth simply because they don't want to acknowledge it. Whoever is looking to research into the truth about God's church - may you have the strength to be honest about all that you find ! xx
Well come home brother, you are telling the truth
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely story Wallace and welcome home !!
