Romans 3:28 was the closest verse in Scripture that seemed to prove Luther’s novel idea concerning justification. However, it lacked the all-important word alone that would have makes Luther’s sola doctrine true. Once again, though, rather than adjust his theology, Luther adjusted the Bible. In his translation of Romans, Luther added the word alone to verse 3:28 (making it say “man is justified by faith alone apart from the deeds of the law”) in order to make it appear that he had biblical support.

Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me and I in him" (John 6:53-56). Some of them even left him for it: “After this many of his disciples drew back and no longer walked with him” (v. 66). We also know that Jesus recognized their difficulty: “Do you take offense at this?” (v.61). Now, the question is, “Did Jesus attempt to ease the difficulty by clarifying their realistic understanding?”

Are we judged by faith or works? In Christian theology, good works, or simply works, are a person's (exterior) actions and deeds that align with the moral teachings, emphasizing compassion, charity, kindness and adherence to biblical principles, in contrast to inner qualities such as grace or faith. What are examples of work in the Bible? Consider that Jesus' parables often appeal to and include general examples of work: sowing, reaping, buying, selling, fishing, shepherding, investing, etc. Some familiar biblical passages with teachings about work include: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” (Colossians 3:23)Nov 21, 2016

At 33:48j... Mr Gendron states, concerning justification, - It declares the inflexible righteousness of God as the Judge who must punish every sin that has ever been committed by everyone who has ever lived. - The only way condemned sinners can be justified is through faith in the sin-bearing, substitutionary death and resurrection of Christ alone who satisfied divine justice. -Justification is the change of one's legal status before God whereby a condemned sinner has been acquitted and declared righteous. (Rom. 5:12-21). -Justification is instantaneous (Romans 4:3) -The Bible says justification is by faith in what God accomplished in Christ (Rom. 5:1) -Justification is permanent and is never lost by sin. The legal status of a justified man is a unchangeable as the righteousness of Christ (Heb 10:14). -Justification is the imputation of Christ's completed righteousness to the justified (2 Cor.5:21; Rom.4:5) The major problem here is that none of these words are the words of scripture. So is Mr. Gendron establishing himself as the "magisterium" for the church? Does Mr. Gendron have teaching authority? Where does Mr. Gendron's authority come from to make these statements?

Also, One thing I am not in total agreement is although I accept Christ which I am told is the way to Heaven, if I repeat a sin or keep sinning, I do not believe in salvation without repentance. Thank you!
Ex-Catholic here. Yes that's the point I don't agree with either. Even if you're justified, if you commit sin or live a life of sin, you are bound to hell unless you repent.
You were better off as a Catholic. Luther added "alone" to justified by faith. It isn't in the original text. And Luther cut the Epistle of James from the Bible, because he didn't agree with it. So, Protestants don't have to address it. In addition, Catholicism has the Sacraments: look up the Scientific Analysis of Eucharistic Miracles and see why Jesus said that without the Eucharist you "have no life within you."
I don't believe that repentance and confession are an anathema to justification by faith. They are an on going part of any walk with God through Christ Jesus. Repentance is a gift, a wonderful gift in walking with the Holy Spirit. James talks of works SHOWING your faith and walk with God. It does not talk about being justified by works. Infact Paul talks about the law being given to show mankind its waywardness. The outward keeping of the 10 commandments does not equate to righteousness...Jesus upped the bar, it has to be the reality in your heart and we all need tge power of the Holy Spirut for that to become reality in us...David talked about God desiring truth in the inward parts. Abraham was justified through faith. Repentance is a wonderful GIFT!!!!....HALLELUJAH. Acts 2:38 reads as follows: “Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” This verse is important as it answers the question of the preceding verse, “When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what shall we do?’” (Acts 2:37). The above interaction on repentance and baptism took place after Apostle Peter’s speech on the day of Pentecost. This day marked the beginning of the Christian church, led by the Holy Spirit. Following Jesus’ instructions, the disciples waited in Jerusalem and received the gift of the Holy Spirit, which was manifested through speaking in other tongues. This drew the attention of passers-by who heard the disciples speaking different languages. Through the Holy Spirit, Peter then delivered a speech that resulted in the conversion of over 3,000 people (Acts 2:41). Repentance and baptism are central concepts in Christianity, but they have also become controversial, with differing opinions on their meaning. Before delving into the “why,” it is important to understand what it means to repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins. The Greek word for “repent” is metanoia, which conveys a change of mind about something. In the context of Peter’s sermon, repentance involved a change of mind about the person of Jesus. Peter had just confronted his hearers with the truth that “God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah” (Acts 2:36). The Jews of Jerusalem needed a big change of mind: they had thought Jesus was worthy of death; they needed to see Him as their Lord and Messiah. In most contexts today, repentance involves a change of mind about Jesus, sin, and salvation. Before coming to Christ, our perspective on everything was different. Sin was considered normal, Christ was merely a historical figure, and salvation was something to be earned by good deeds outweighing bad deeds. At the point of conviction, our mindset needs to change-we must repent. Sin is revealed for what it truly is: rebellion against the Creator. We also realize that we cannot meet God’s perfect standards and that Christ is our only hope. This total change of mind should inevitably result in a change of behavior (Matthew 3:8). The word for “baptism” is the Greek word baptismos, which refers to the act of being immersed, submerged, or fully wet. Scripture records two forms of baptism: water baptism and Spirit baptism (Luke 3:16). The context of Acts 2:38 points to water baptism, though, with the mention of “the gift of the Holy Spirit,” Spirit baptism is also at play. Arguments about the relation of water baptism to salvation can become intense. First, we need to establish that baptism is a command (Matthew 28:19-20). However, we should avoid making water baptism a prerequisite for salvation. In the very next chapter, Peter preaches another sermon (Acts 3:11-26). In it, he commands repentance (verse 19) but never mentions baptism. We are saved by grace through faith, not by faith plus baptism (Ephesians 2:8-9). Baptism is symbolic, representing outwardly the inner transformation of the Spirit. Peter commanded it in Acts 2:38 as a way to publicly identify with Jesus. But what did Peter mean by commanding people to be baptized “for” the forgiveness of sins? The Greek word translated “for” (eis) in Acts 2:38 can mean “because of” or “as the result of.” The word for in English can carry a similar meaning: a doctor’s advice to “take two aspirin for your headache” is an obvious command to take the pills because of the headache. Noted Greek scholars as A. T. Robertson and J. R. Mantey have maintained that the Greek preposition eis in Acts 2:38 should be translated “because of” or “in view of,” not “in order to” or “for the purpose of.” The same Greek word (eis) is translated “at” in Matthew 12:41: The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at (eis) the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. They repented “because of” the preaching of Jonah. In the same way, one should be baptized “because of” the forgiveness of sin. So, why do we need to repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sin? Repentance is a necessary change of mind for salvation, and baptism is a symbolic act through which we identify with Jesus. Both actions demonstrate our faith in Christ and our willingness to obey Him.

That’s not the gospel. Look at 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 that is the gospel. It doesn’t include water baptism. Salvation is by faith. Acts 16:30-31, 2 Timothy 3:15. That’s What the apostles taught. And JESUS CHRIST is the Head of the true church, not Francis the false prophet, who blasphemes ALMIGHTY GOD by calling himself "holy father". JESUS CHRIST WARNS US IN Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
@@philipcunningham9708Peter in the Greek means 'pebble' or small stone/rock. The next sentence Jesus uses another word for rock, big rock, not a pebble...its on tge rock of revelation, the rock of 'You are the Christ, the son of the living God'.....that awesome revelation that because of Jesus can come to all of us now from the Father. Hallelujah!
Church fathers were heretics. They never understood Paul. Paul had the revelation from the lord Jesus Christ and no church fathers had revelation. Paul stands superior to the church fathers.

@@mooreoftammie Fallible men compiled the bible by that logic. And men who follow the bible without tradition are the most fallible; this is why you have 20000-40000 denominations, not counting non-denominational believers.
@@mooreoftammie, um, guess what inconvenient fact you can't get around, no matter how hard you try: the Church Fathers spread Christianity throughout the world. They also determined what the canon of scripture would be. You can't get around that no matter how hard you try. The Catholic Church put together the Bible.
Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV [14] Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. [15] For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
I have been back to the Catholic Church. Evangelicals and other Christian denominations never settled in me. Amazing people I met but never fulfilled me and the more I delve into philosophy and religion the more I realize how everyone try to discredit everyone. I understand why but to my evangelical friends how many people try to discredit you all. There are plenty of reasons to as well. Peace to all may God find peace in your souls my included.
And how do you answer to the versicule "Without holiness no one will see God" or to the versicule "Not all who are called will be chosen" or to the Paul verses about losing such a great salvation for no being dilligent enough or so many others verses. The truth is that many believers loose their faith during their lives and by doing so their loose their salvation. Yes, of course. We have to take care of our spiritual lives.
Salvation is a GIFT OF GOD, and the the Bible tells us that "no one can be plucked from the hand of God", once you are saved, you are forever saved. You have been justified, acquitted of all charges, you are a new creature in God. God promises Eternal Life. We are made holy in God's sight, washed Clean by the blood of Jesus. We are Born Again as Jesus says we must be to enter Heaven. We sin daily because we are in our human, sinful bodies, but as we grow in the Word and learn what God wants of our life, we become less and less worldly and more in the image of Him. We ask for forgiveness daily because we have a Personal Relationship with Him. But we are justified and cleansed.
@@rmiller815 my friend You are absolutely right with things you said except that it is not true that once you are saved you are ALWAYS SAVED. We still need to work our own salvation by cooperating with the grace of God.For if we are forever saved, why are there still unsaved or damned souls? Unless of course it is your personal belief that HELL would be emptied of its inhabitants in the ends.
@@rmiller815 That is not biblical. No one can take your faith because it is God given. What is biblical is that you personally can reject and resist your faith (please find several bible vs, on your own) Every time you sin, you are resisting and rejecting your faith and turning your back on God. Not asking forgiveness in your personal relationship is a rejection of your faith.
John 14:6 None. That is a point! There is no "religion" that can save you, only Jesus Him self. No one comes to the Father but by Him (again John 14:6). Read your Bible. God bless you
Wait a second, are you saying you havent read the early church fathers? Surely you should at the very least check out what they said, so that you are fully informed? I used to be protestant but God moved me towards the catholic church and then I read the church fathers. It wasnt solely because of the early fathers, it was a spiritual transformation, but the writings of the church fathers are astonishing. You cant just dismiss what they say. The word of God is number 1 for sure, but the early fathers and what they have written supports the bible. There is nothing in the early fathers writings that contradicts the bible(except those who were found to be heretics). What they wrote backs up the word of God and it also confirms that the church is inherently catholic. I'm not saying that protestantism is a heresy but its not the complete picture, its missing a lot of pieces. I know this experientially. When i go to mass I feel God's presence in the catholic church, if I go to a protestant service the presence of God is not there, Im sorry to say. The difference between the two services is one is alive the other is flat and lifeless. The protestant service, on the surface is very demonstrative, and appears to be lively, but its not.
Salvation is not about feeling its about a heart problem and the problem with the heart is the heart of the problem we have been separated from God by the 1st Adam but the 2 nd Adam became our substitute to remove the Wrath by offering this GIFT BY HIS BLOOD
I agree you can definitely feel the presence of God The Father God The Son Jesus Christ and God The Holy Spirit during mass, and I also have been to Protestant services CofE and they felt meaningless especially if the vicar was a woman.
They that ignore the fathers are afraid of what the will find. Or more closer to the truth, they got a glimpse of the writings of the Church fathers and were shocked, shook up t the foundation of their being. Not even Protestant seminaries teach it. What are they afraid of ? It's only Christian salvation history. What was the Council of Niceaea about ?

What amazes me is that people who claim to be Bible believing, Sola scriptura Christians...do not take literally the words of Jesus when in John 6, He said TRULY TRULY (Definition believe me, believe me) Unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink His Blood, you have no life in you! Jewish law forbid the.Jews from eating the flesh of the sacrificed lambs with their blood. They said how could they give us His flesh and blood. Jesus said Does this shock you? And they left ...He didn't call them back, or say it was a joke. He had to let them leave. They saw two miracles...the loaves and fishes and Him walking on water. They believed what they could physically see but this required them to trust He was telling the truth and truly the Son of God. In human terms, we could never understand this, but it is by the Spirit we believe. St Paul said unless you discern Jesus Body and Blood you bring judgement on yourself. The Early Church Fathers, the disciples of Jesus, believed in real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. So when Jesus says Truly, Truly, unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of God and drink His Blood you have no life. So unlike the 5000 disciples who left, I chose to believe Jesus and never leave because I know that I could never have a stronger relationship with our Lord than to receive Him in Holy Communion and to be in His Holy Presence in His Church.
The phenomenon you're describing, where some Christians claim that other Christians who believe differently are not "true Christians," is often referred to as the "No True Scotsman" fallacy when applied in a religious context. This situation arises from differences in the interpretation of scripture, theological traditions, and personal beliefs.

I have never gotten through to any Catholics...they ALL believe they are the only true religion. I sent your videos to my Catholic cousin, who was raised Baptist. She responded with the verses John 6:53-58. Where do I begin?
Yes, John chapter 6 led me to leave Protestantism, which I was raised in, and join the Catholic Church ❤ Also, Revelations chapter 12 helped me accept Queen Mary, Mother of King Jesus Who is God Himself, as my own Heavenly Mother. This are parts of the Bible, among many others, that simply NEVER were preached on in the Protestant Churches I grew up in. Read the Bible!!! Anyone who does, will come to see the Catholic Church all over in it. The Church is the pillar and foundation of Truth 1 Timothy 3:15 Purgatory is true - Jesus went there & Baptism Saves us - 1 Peter 3:18-21 I could go on & on, but just read the Bible and ask God to remove the Protestant scales from your eyes, and you'll find Catholicism everywhere in the Bible
Why don't you start by reading John 6. For Protestants who profess they believe in Sola scriptura...you cannot get as straightforward as this when Jesus says Truly truly unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of God and Drink My Blood you have no life in you. This is why we go to Mass to worship and receive Him! He didn't tell His disciples He was Joking or clarify Himself. He let them leave. They trusted Him when they could see the physical miracles but not the one that required them to trust the Holy Spirit! You are blessed to have such a good friend to lead you to the greatest miracle Jesus could give us! Also read the Early fathers who all believed in the Real Presence of Jesus in Holy Communion
Matthew 28:16-20. This Scripture speaks of baptism. It sounds as though you just spoke a different version of a sinners prayer. The Gospel includes Hear the Word, Believe the Word, Repent and be baptized. And be baptized.

Everything else is written TO the Jews under the law (written for our learning but not written TO the Church for doctrine). We are admonished to rightly divide the Word!

It was the Word of God that drew me to Catholicism - when I realized how the various Protestant sects could not even agree on how to interpret Scripture, and how they ignored and explained away much of Scripture, or refused to interpret it plainly and literally. When I began to see how many evangelical Protestant practices and beliefs were based on the traditions of men - and fairly recent ones at that - or on marketing research rather than on the Bible, I began to ask questions no Protestants could answer to my satisfaction. In addition, when I realized how much of anti-Catholic rhetoric was based on misinformation and historical inaccuracies, as well as a complete misrepresentation of Catholic theology and doctrine, I began to wonder about the integrity and knowledge of many Protestant preachers and apologists. Protestantism is so fractured, resulting in divisiveness, disagreement, and schism after schism. Is this what Christ prayed for in John 17? Is this movement, based on so much religious pride (“Our little group has the correct interpretation of Scripture and everyone else is wrong”.) possibly of God? Too many Protestants who aren’t filled with pride, thinking the Holy Spirit guides them into truth that others can’t grasp, instead embrace relativism - “This is my truth”. May God have mercy.
Have you read the Bible? It is true, no matter what a religion or a denomination may tell you. All you need is God's Word KJV to explain God's plan for man. Salvation by Jesus Christ, whom God the Father sent to pay once and for all for our sins by his death on the cross and was brought to life on the 3rd day and sets at the right hand of God and intercedes for sinners who believe in his sacrifice.. If you believe this repent of your sins and tell God that you trust in Jesus to forgive our sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. If we do we will be with God in heaven immediately when we die and be with him forever.

@@mitchellosmer1293 Ok, I try to clarify and correct the nonsense you wrote in your comment as short as possible. Firstly ALL CHURCH FATHERS you quote in your comment BELIEVED AND TAUGHT the REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS CHRIST WITH HIS FLESH AND BLOOD, no one of them taught the Last Supper has to be understood only symbolic, except of Tertullian. But he was the exception that confirmed the truth of the transubstantiation in the Eucharist. Clement of Alexandria called it a mystery and if he understood it only symbolic he wouldn't have said it's a mystery. They all believed in the transformation of the bread in the real flesh and blood of Jesus Christ. This was the uniform teaching of the the early church of Jesus Christ. Ignatius of Antioch wrote in the 1st century A.D. in chapter 7 of his epistle to the the Smyrnaeans AGAINST THE HERETICS the following: "They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess NOT THE EUCHARIST TO BE THE FLESH OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again." This is the represetive faith about the Eucharist of the early church of Jesus Christ. I could quote many more Church Fathers than you who clearly believed in the transubstantiation beside those you aleady you cited. Just stop to lie. Secondly the Catholic Church exists since 33 A.D. NOT only 325 A.D. The emperor Constantine 1 declared only the faith of the Catholic Church that the emperors before him persecuted more or less strong for 300 years to the official religion of the Roman empire. Ignatius of Antioch who was martyred around 107 A.D. wrote in his epistle in chapter 8: "Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the CATHOLIC CHURCH." It clearly proves the Catholic Church existed already in the 1st century A.D. This are the historic facts not the nonsense you claim here. And in 2 Thessalonians 2: 15 Paul DIDN'T SPEAK of UNBIBLICAL MAN TRADITIONNS or TRADITIONS OF PHARISEES or of ROMAN CHURCH TRADITIONS but of the ORAL TRANSMITTED APOSTOLIC TRADITION which he clearly defended and demanded from the believers to hold on steady on it. It's just the opposite of what you claim here. Learn to read the Bible correctly before you are telling us such a nonsense. 1. There was no other church than of Christ the Catholic Church in the first 1000 years A.D. In this time the church consisted of the western (latin church) and the Eastern Church (orthodox). But it was 1 united church and not yet divided in a RCC and Orthodox Church. Protestantism and free churches didnn't exist at all. The characteristics of the true church of Christ are ONE faith, APOSTOLIC, the priests stands in the unbroken succession of the Apostles. All this lacks in the protestant churches as they are build on man made teachings and traditions. 2. Christ built up his visible church on earth on Peter. He renamed Simon in "Kephas", Aramaic word for "rock", in Greek "Petros", in English "Peter". He transfered to Peter the keys of the kindgom of heaven and ONLY HIM. Additionally he gave him the authority to bound and lose sins on earth and in heaven, this he also gave the other Apostles. And he promised Peter the gates of the hell won't prevail against the church. Matthew 16: 16 - 18. When Jesus made all this promises to Peter there didn't exist at all any Christian Church, for this reason he used the future tense. The Apostles begun to establish the churches only after the resurrection of Christ. And for about 1000 year A.D. there was no division in a RCC and Orthodox Church, it the ONE UNITED CATOLIC CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST. Of course the Roman church was at that time not yet seperated from the ONE UNITED Church of Christ. It's only logic that due to these historic facts the Bible doesn't speak of a RCC. Use your brain please. 3. There is also only ONE TRUE CHURCH. Yes the church is the body of Christ but this body is not divided in thousands of different denominations, with different doctrines and faith. The true church of Jesus Christ is APOSTOLIC and holds on the ORAL TRANSMITTED APOSTOLIC TRADITION, the teaching of JESUS CHRIST RESPECTIVELY HOLY SCRIPTURE since 2000 years, not man made traditions invented only far more than 1000 years A.D. The Bible says it clearly in Ephesians 4: 4 - 6. 4. Catholics and Orthodoxs are the first believers as there was only ONE church in the first 1000 years AD, this was the Catholic Church, consisting of the western (latin churches) and eastern (Orthodox Churches) united in 1 church not yet divided. This is a historic fact. 5. The pope is the head of the church. Christ built up his visible church on earth on Peter. He renamed Simon to "Kephas", Aramaic word for "rock", in Greek "Petros", in English "Peter" and on this rock, Peter he built up his church. He transfered to Peter the keys of the kindgom of heaven and ONLY HIM. Additionally he gave him the authority to bound and lose sins on earth and in heaven, this he also gave the other Apostles. So Jesus Christ himself laid the fundament of the papacy and determined Peter to be the head of the visible church on earth. Matthew 16: 16 - 18. 6. The meaning of the catholic doctrine outside the church no salvation is if someone comes through the grace of God to the convinction the the full truth is only to be found in the Catholic Church, he/she is obligated to join the Church of Christ. Because the Holy Spirit revealed it to him/her and if he/she refuses to voluntary and conscious to enter in Christ's Church though she/he knows the truth through the revelation of God he/she is obliged to follow the conscience. Otherwise he/she is deobeying the Holy Spirit and sins voluntary and conscious against the Holy Spirit and there is for this reason no salvation in this case. But it doesn't say only Catholics inherit the eternal life in Jesus Christ and even if somebody leaves the Catholic Church it doesn't signify necessarily this person goes to hell. Only God can judge righteous here. You should learn first what catholic doctrines mean. 10. / 11 / 12 / 13 Yes it took several hundred centuries until the papacy and the papal ministry developed as we know it today. The infallibity of the Pope applies only in one specific case when the Pope speaks ex cathedra meaning a question of morals or faith is defined devinitively as true for all time and can't be discussed anymore and is to be held by the whole church, see the keys of the kingdom of heaven Jesus gave Peter. Jesus Christ himself laid the foundation for this ministry in Matthew 16: 16 - 18. In all other cases he is NOT INFALLIBLE. As the Apostles had to build up Christ's church from zero, according to the order of the Lord because there was at their time no Christian faith and churches at their time it's logic that it needed time. And the Apostles switched already the Jewish Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday because Christ rose Sunday from the death. The Jewish Sabbath was a covenant commandment for the Jews of the OT and was valid only in the OT of the old covenant. Paul makes clear in different Scripture passages that the Jewish Sabbath is no more binding for the Christians in the new covenant Christ made with his blood on the cross. I don't know by heart the Bible passages. And this is also proven by the writings of the early church fathers. 14. The clergy of the RCC is not unbiblical because Jesus Christ never abolished the ordained priesthood. There are only different forms of the priesthood. Monks for example follows only the call they received from Jesus Christ to live only for him. They do what the rich young man refused to do when Jesus invited him to follow him in the gospel of Matthew, Luke and Mark. This is absolutely biblical and not at all unbiblical. 15. You can trace back ALL doctrines of the RCC and about 90% of the Orthodox Church until to the Apostles and their direct successors in an unbroken line. So the doctrines of the RCC are to 100% from the Traditions of Jesus, the Apostles and Holy Scripture. What you can't claim of the Protestant doctrines. They are pure man made doctrines without any biblical or apostolic fundament.

And many such things you do." ----- (1) It is Scripture that is said to be God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16), and it is Scripture that has the repeated, “Thus saith the LORD...” In other words, it is the written Word that is repeatedly treated as God’s Word. Never is it said of any church tradition that it, too, is God-breathed and infallible. (2) It is to Scripture that Jesus and the apostles appeal time after time in support or defense of their actions and teachings (Matthew 12:3, 5; 19:4; 22:31; Mark 12:10). There are over 60 verses in which you find “it is written...” used by Jesus and the apostles to support their teachings. (3) It is to the Scriptures that the church is commended in order to combat the error that was bound to come (Acts 20:32). Likewise, it was the written Word that was seen in the Old Testament as the source of truth upon which to base one’s life (Joshua 1:8; Deuteronomy 17:18-19; Psalm 1; Psalm 19:7-11; 119; etc.). Jesus said that one of the reasons that the Sadducees were in error concerning the resurrection is that they did not know the Scriptures (Mark 12:24). ----(5) Jesus equates the Scriptures with God’s Word (John 10:35). In contrast, when it comes to the religious traditions, He condemns some traditions because they contradict the written Word (Mark 7:1-13). Never does Jesus use religious tradition to support His actions or teachings. Before the writing of the New Testament, the Old Testament was the only inspired Scripture. However, there were literally hundreds of Jewish “traditions” recorded in the Talmud (a collection of commentary compiled by Jewish rabbis). Jesus and the apostles had both the Old Testament, and the Jewish tradition. Nowhere in Scripture does Jesus or any of the apostles appeal to the Jewish traditions. In contrast, Jesus and the apostles quote from or allude to the Old Testament hundreds of times. The Pharisees accused Jesus and the apostles of “breaking the traditions” (Matthew 15:2). Jesus responded with a rebuke: “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?” (Matthew 15:3). The manner in which Jesus and the apostles distinguished between the Scriptures and tradition is an example for the church. Jesus specifically rebukes treating the “commandments of men” as doctrines (Matthew 15:9). (6) It is Scripture that has the promise that it will never fail, that it will all be fulfilled. Again, never is this promise given to the traditions of the church (Psalm 119:89,152; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18; Luke 21:33). (7) It is the Scriptures that are the instrument of the Holy Spirit and His means for conquering Satan and changing lives (Hebrews 4:12; Ephesians 6:17). -----In other words, tradition CAN NOT contradict God's Words!!!!! We need no Eucharist, no veneration of Mary, no long list of good works, no baptism regeneration, no sacrament of reconciliation, no pope, no papacy, no belief in Peter as the Rock 1 Corinthians 3:11, no man-made doctrine, but only by faith through grace are we saved.
@@redbird9000-- We do need to be baptised. Mr Gendron gets off the Romans Road a little too early. We do need the Eucharist, because our Lord said we do. We do need to confess our sins, because, otherwise we sort of end up in hell --- not a place any Christian wants to be! And also because Jesus said we need to. We need a pope because Jesus founded the Church and gave us a pope to govern it. I agree with you that we do not NEED to venerate Mary, yest we do so out of love and respect. These are not manmade doctrines. The nature of the Church, the Eucharist, baptism, etc. All of those are biblical. Even the Marian doctrines. They are the teachings of Jesus, handed down by the Apostles to his Church.
@@padraicbrown6718 there is no tap water, river water, rainwater, or baptismal pool that can wash away sins and save your life. The blood of Christ is sufficient unto salvation. Look to the Passover Lamb in Exodus and and receive understanding. They were saved from destruction only by the blood.
I converted to Catholicism two years ago. Thanks be God! I was lost in evangelicalism for 40+ years. Finally my childhood scars are healing from the horror of their "gospel". So many contradictions!
@@RecoveryRose the church I grew up in was very strict we were taught never to sin and if we did, we should be ashamed and hide it... one could never confess to another, if you did you would be shunned. Confession is so important to the Christian Life.. having a confessor goes all the way back to the second century, someone who is willing to listen to your troubles and give you advice. The Protestant churches, at least the ones I have grown up in, do not promote confession of any sort, except in secret, which means your sins are secret ..and that is detrimental to your spiritual health
What does Mike have to say to all of these former evangelicals who became Catholics, like Scott Hahn, Steve Ray, John Martignoni, Tim Staples and others?
At 38:15 the pastor in a video lied and misquoted the verse because the very verse proves the Catholic view that justification and sanctification happened at the same time, the pastor said "Titus 3 said; he saved us not by the righteous work but by his mercy" but the verse said " he saved us not because the righteous works we have but by the washing off the sins and renewal of rebirth" justification and sanctification at the same time. May the Lord rebuke the false teachers and liars such as the one in the video.
Also Catholics believe that every Holy Mass places us right back at Calvary. Every time. Not a different Calvary but the one and only time.. Also John 6 verses 22-66? The Lord talks about His body and blood and it is so important that the Lord repeats it over and over.. If you look at the new testiment you can see the start and movement of the early church.. And the institution of the Eucharist when at the breaking of bread their eyes were opened and He varnished from their sight, this shows Jesus is really and substantially present in the Eucharist which according to the Lord in John 6 22-66 gives us eternal life? I also trust the lord's word about His Church that not even the gates of hell would prevail against Her.. Let God be true and every man be aliar? Also didn't the Lord allow Himself to be Baptisted by John the Baptist and the Holy Spirit came down on the Lord and a voice of the Father came from Heaven, say this is my beloved in whom I am well pleased So I will do as my Lord does. Baptism is a must and to live that baptismal vow.. A tree is known by its fruit? So James states faith without good works is Dead? Also doesn't the Lord quote macabre when saying it is good and righteous to pray for the dead as it losens them from their chains? Isn't that alluding to a temporary place of purification ie purgatory? Also Scripture is profitable for doctrine ie the Church of Christ to teach with and also as the Lord said to His Church what you shall bind on earth is considered bound in Heaven and what you shall free on earth shall be considered freed in Heaven. What sins you abstain they are abstained and what sins you forgive they are forgiven? That there is confession sacrament instituted by the Lord.. I trust in Him. I pray this might have some bearing on folks. Who wrongly see the Lords own church and flock as some thing else.. Godbless you all.. Kindest regards Vinn.. Ps Please don't let your conscience be searched with a red hot poker, please turn back to Christ.. Godbless Night all 💜⛪💭😊

The Bible belongs too Jesus Christ Holy Catholic Church not you or any Protestant the Catholic Church put the cannon of scripture together learn the history of the church
The Catholic Church has not only allowed but encouraged Catholics to read the Bible daily since Pope Leo XIII in 1895. It wasn't until 1830 that Bibles were inexpensively mass-produced, which gave the average person some hope of owning one. But still, there was mass illiteracy until well into the mid 1800s. Saying you "weren't allowed to read it" in the 20th century is just plain false.

If the church or sect you belong to is founded by a man definitely it is not the one and only church founded by Jesus no matter how you twist the scripture in the bible and whether the name of your church is written in the bible it is still not the one. Matthew 16:18-19
I used to be a staunch Catholic. I entered the convent to become a Reverend sister. The theology of purgatory made me depressed for years. After years of striving to secure a place in heaven through penances and prayers to the Saints, I began hearing a voice telling me to read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to explain it. At first, it was hard for me to accept what I was reading from the Bible as it contradicted my Catholic beliefs. Then, my spirit told me to humble myself and accept the truth of the word of God before it is too late. The Bible debunks a lot of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Long story short, I am no longer Catholic, and my walk with Christ has never been easier and beautiful. God delivered me from depression, religious spirit, and a lot of sicknesses. I say this to my dear Catholic friends: without “ reading the Bible with humility,” you cannot see the falseness in some Catholic teachings.

Accepting Jesus. I hear this often and understand both what the Pastor is talking about. One would think about Jesus and pray a prayer and not repent or believe the Gospel. The other would do the same, repent turn to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Then proclaim all of God’s attributes and understand the accountability to God, repent, confess with their mouth and believe in their heart, that Jesus is Lord. Both say a prayer, for what they understood to the best of their knowledge. One goes away the other stays to walk with Jesus. Which one accepted Jesus? Which one is accepting Jesus? I get it, the volunteer for the wheel barrel. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth. Are we not accepting Jesus into our lives? Sinner’s prayer, accepting Jesus, I found Jesus. Get in the wheel barrel and be born again. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Yes, do this. Sinner’s prayer is not in the Bible, but this is from the Thief on the Cross, “Jesus, remember me when you enter your kingdom.”
What is the purpose of the priesthood in the Catholic Church? The Catholic priesthood was instituted by Christ himself, to administer His Sacraments, to teach, sanctify and lead the people of God towards the Kingdom of God

Love your lies which proves you never read the catechism nor open a bible to the Commandments If you’re ever worried about loving the blessed Virgin Mary too much don’t be, you can never love her more than Jesus does.” - St Maximilian Kolbe Mary does not take away from the redemptive work of Christ nor does she add to it. If you want proof that Christ's redemptive work is perfect look to exhibit A- The blessed virgin Mary. yup Your mother loves the scripture you hate Mary as the first Person To say Yes to Gods plan for redemption Mary Was the First person to say thy will Be done Mary thru who the WORD was made Flesh The words of the first part of the Hail Mary are words addressed to her by the angel Gabriel and her relative Elizabeth. The second part is merely a request for the mother of God to pray for us. But most important of all: the whole point (the context) of the Hail Mary is not Mary but the incarnation of Jesus. Without the incarnation, we would have no Our Father. If Jesus had not taken flesh in her womb, we would necver have heard of her. So whenever we pray the Hail Mary, we are professing our faith in Jesus, the Word made flesh. As she said to Elizabeth, her soul magnifies the Lord; everything about her speaks of God. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Luke 1:29 "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." (Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee) Luke 1:38 "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb." (blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus) 1 Corinthians 7:34 "An unmarried woman or a virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in both body and spirit." (Holy Mary) Luke 2:6-7 "6 While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn son." (Mother of God) 2 Corinthians 1:11 "as you help us with prayer, so that thanks may be given by many on our behalf for the gift granted us through the prayers of many." (pray for us sinners now) Matthew 10:22 "but whoever endures to the end will be saved". (and at the hour of our death. Amen.) I don't think you would disagree with me on the Lord's Prayer, Glory Be, and the Apostle's Creed, but if you do, then tell me :0) In summary: the Rosary is 65% directly to Jesus and about him. It is 35% honouring and requesting prayers from Mary, his Mother. 88% of the Rosary is directly from the Bible, 12% is from the wisdom of early Christians. The Hail Mary Is all about Christ incarnation guess these morons are against Jesus ..Without the incarnation, we would have no Our Father. If Jesus had not taken flesh in her womb, we would necver have heard of her. So whenever we pray the Hail Mary, we are professing our faith in Jesus, the Word made flesh. As she said to Elizabeth, her soul magnifies the Lord; everything about her speaks of God😆😆
I do admire how well my Protestant friends know the Bible. However, all devout Catholics know it as well and are actually the ones who chose and compiled the books in the Bible. I’m sorry that you’ve never had a priest tell you to read the Bible (that’s awful!) but I have. If you go to mass every Sunday, you will have heard the entire Bible (all 73 books) in 3 years. If you read the Catholic Catechism. and the entire Bible for yourself and attend mass, I believe you will understand and see that the Catholic Church has a reason for every single tradition and action. Many Protestants have only been taught lies about the Catholic Church. Most of what this man is preaching is not true. He might have good intentions and believe what he is teaching is true or maybe he was poorly catechized by a lukewarm Catholic who doesn’t really know Jesus. I pray to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for ALL souls that we may all know God and make Him known. God Bless.
@@CatholicMommy I was baptized in the Catholic Church as an infant and confirmed. I have studied church history and studied Catholic teachings. This man has presented Catholic dogma correctly and fairly and contrasted it with the scriptures. Who should we trust and submit to; the traditions of men and ex cathedra or the perfect word of God?
@@robertdelisle7309 I have many Protestant and Catholic friends who are both filled with the Holy Spirit and believe that Jesus died on the cross for them. There are so many Christian churches, how is one to choose? All of the Protestants do things even ever so slightly different from one another and so much bickering between them. The Catholic Church is the oldest organized Christian church that exists and it’s name is Greek and the word Catholic literally means “Universal “ and is the same mass every Sunday at every Catholic Church in the world. There has to be truth to seek within the Catholic Church but of course you will find corruption in all churches. The devil wants to divide us! The church cannot force you because every man has free will to see for themselves and decide. Unfortunately, there are poorly catechized Catholics who don’t understand their own faith/religion. You’ll find that at every denomination as well. I’m just glad that people are seeking and trying to know God! I decided to practice my faith in the Catholic Church and I believe their is a fullness of faith that is experienced in the Catholic Church if done correctly. I love my Bible preaching, Holy Spirit filled friends because they are planting seeds! We are the hands and feet of Jesus and we should be evangelizing to non-believers.
The 2nd commandment is clubbed in the first one. You shall have no other gods included images of gods. The last commandment was split into two for this reason. The sin of coveting the property of one's neighbour and coveting neighbour's wife. Women are not the property of men. Woman are individuals created in the image of God. Coveting neighbour's wife is sin of lust which is different from coveting neighbour's goods. All points of the ten commandments are covered. Catholic Church prohibited having images considered as "gods". Images that are not considered as gods are ok. That is why statues, paintings, murals of Jesus, Mary and the saints are ok to depict stories. These things are not gods including the statues of Jesus. If we should not have any images whether it is considered as gods or not, then having photos and paintings of our loved ones too should be prohibited. In that case, Israelites too have committed sin fir having the Ark of the Covenant which had the images of cherubim in gold. Even Moses committed sin by making bronze serpent and hung it on a pole. Those bitten by the serpents looked at the bronze serpent and were healed. Solomon's Temple too had images to beautify it. I think you should ask this question : what type of images are prohibited and why.
There are many versions of the Bible, so how do I know which one to buy. I was born & brought up RC in Ireland, but I have been asking myself questions for a while now, so Mr Gendron teachings has made me think twice about why have I not being going to church, Mass, & confessions since about 8 months now.
This depends on your needs. The fundamental truth is that no matter what translation you're using, you're going to get pretty much the same message. Different wordings, different styles, but basically the same. Since you're a Catholic, I'd just go with a Catholic Study Bible. It's got loads of notes and loads of explanatory stuff as well. Personally I would stay away from super new translations that are more interested in "inclusivity" and other woke ideologies than they are about giving us God's word. I would definitely stay away from the New World Translation, as that's the JW translation and the Jehovah's Witness religion is a form of Arianism. I'd also recommend you get yourself a good Catholic catechism. The Catechism of the Catholic Church lays out what we believe, from the nature of God, through the sacraments and the life of the Church, with the historical attestations, works of the Church Fathers and biblical foundations. If you're having questions and doubts, I would seriously recommend the New St. Joseph Baltimore Catechism. Questions are good! Be sure to compare whatever Mr Gendron says Catholicism teaches with actual Catholic sources. Also keep in mind that Mr Gendron converted from the Church, the one that Jesus actually founded, to some other more modern church. The Church has been at this for 2000 years: Mr Gendron isn't saying anything the Church hasn't faced before and either refuted or agreed with.
Translations DO matter, especially with bibles with commentaries. #1 = Stay with a Catholic Study bible. Suggest having more than one so that you can compare translations and commentaries as some bibles will have more or less commentary on specific verses. The St Ignatius Study Bible is excellent, both for the translation (RSVCE) and the commentary.

A suggestion for what to do when talking to Catholics: Try some *humility.* Show some grace. What has always turned me off about evangelicals is exactly the arrogant, condescending attitude shown even in the title of this video. Then throw in the fact that we are routinely falsely accused of many things because so many evangelicals 'learn' about the Catholic faith from anti-Catholic bigots rather than going to the source and finding out what the Church *actually* teaches. God the Father wants UNITY among His children. He wants us feeding the poor and visiting the sick and bringing Christ to *those who don't know Him.* Instead evangelicals spend their time and energy fighting their own brothers and sisters. It's very sad and surely does not show me any light of Christ that would induce me to join their brand of Christian faith.
Thank you for sharing this. It is so very true. Sincerely and gratefully, a Christ-following believer, saved by Grace through faith, not of myself, but as a gift from God, not by works lest I should be able to boast.

The Bible is the story of Yahweh's fulfilled plan of redemption given exclusively to ancient Israelites cursed with the Old Covenant Law of sin and death and pertains to no one alive today, soteriologically and eschatologically speaking. Here's more... If you believe the Bible, then you'd have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 15:24, that he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. You'd have to agree with Jesus in Matthew 5:18, that no jot nor tittle of the Old Covenant Law would pass away until the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it (what Jews referred to as "heaven and earth") passed away. You'd have to agree with history, that the Old Covenant system, temple and people associated with it passed away in AD70. You'd have to agree with Paul, who said in Romans 5:13, "Where there is no (Old Covenant) Law, sin is not taken into account." This of course means that salvation was only needed by those who had sin taken into account, which is not us today. You'd also have to agree with Hebrews 9:15, that redemption was only for those who sinned under the first covenant, which again...is not us today. The bitter pill of truth is that nobody has been saved nor redeemed for nearly two thousand years. The "church today" has been in a massive error; a complete hijacking of ancient Israel's exclusive redemptive narrative, the Bible. "But...but...I'm a gentile!" Are you? The gentiles Paul and the disciples were preaching to were either Greek converts to Judaism or the elect diaspora, grafted-in descendants of the tribes of Israel who had been dispersed among the nations. Through the ministry of the disciple's great commission, they were called out from the nations to again be a holy nation of kings and priests, sealed for the day of redemption, which only they lived to see. Nobody today is a gentile of that sort. Today's self-appointed, self-professing "Christians" have been hoodwinked into believing they're sinners under a law that passed away, and need a savior who said he came for someone else, who will save them from a sin that's already been removed, and a judgement that already happened and allow them into a covenant that was made with someone else. The fact is, we today were never and are not part of ancient Israel's exclusive redemptive narrative, the Bible. ~Michael Bradley
Most, if not all, protestants downgraded the Holiness of God's Cleanines and HIS hatred toward sin, when they attack His Mother by stripping off her holiness bestowed upon her by God's grace. Who would want to have his/her beloved son being laid in a filthy vessel? Does 'everything with God is possible ' means nothing at all? logical reasoning tells us because God is holy, then it's safe to say that HIS "vessel " must be holy, too. Mary died sinless because she is holy.

All your "works" are as filthy rags to a Holy God. You are saved by GRACE, so that you can not Boast. Sorry, please come to Christ with a repentant heart, only a genuine faith saves. Our works are the "fruit" of our faith as Jesus described. God Bless all who come to Jesus with a genuine heart, wanting to serve their Lord and Savior
Do faith alone advocates make turning to God's ways into a passive event, something beyond your self direction? As something where you do not come to your senses? But it is God's doing alone?
@Vincenzo-wn1or I think you are overthinking this. Faith, genuine faith is an action. True faith will bear fruit of a changed and repentant heart. Jesus saves us by faith yes, because nothing we can do is good enough to earn it.
@@stephenfloyd3522 Works do not "earn us" salvation. But the point of "faith + works" is that to have faith in Christ, you must take up your own cross, and act in Christ's example. Give to the poor, help the poor in spirit, go to church and worship Christ, protect the persecuted, and through love and faith, bring the kingdom of heaven to Earth. You cannot simply proclaim faith. True faith will manifest in what you do for others. Yet not my will, but His be done. Only God can judge us when we pass away from this world. I will pray for you.
Luther controversially added the word "alone" (allein in German) to Romans 3:28 so that it read: "So now we hold, that man is justified without the help of the works of the law, alone through faith".
It is without the help of works of the law. It IS NOT without works of love. Faith working thru love as Paul said. That is cooperation with The Holy Spirit.
The only place that the phrase faith alone appears in scripture is in James 2:24. "You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone." ML added the word "alone" to Romans 3:28, and boasted about having done so.
The translation is accurate. Just because the word alone is not literally contained in the original Greek does not mean that is not an accurate translation. It is in fact implied by the context. If we are saved by faith, then obviously it is faith alone. That is the entire point of that verse.

One way I know that the protestant positions and beliefs were not what was in place in the early church is the fact that the early church survived for over 1500 years and is still around today. Before Luther died, there were already many divisions among protestants: Lutherans (1521), Anabaptist (1525), Anglicans (1534) Calvinist (1540). The Roman Catholic Church is still here because it was established by Jesus Christ himself
Faith is believing in God and all His teachings and trusting completely in what Jesus did for us and our salvation and what He taught His Disciples to write and teach all people to be saved.
Saved meaning you can't fall away from salvation?
There’s a lot more than faith that they wrote was necessary for salvation.
Faith without works is dead -The Holy Bible
You have the believing and trust part - that will move mountain. However, if you have not Love you are nothing. Faith also includes what God has put inside of us - The holy spirit. As Paul said in Corinth - Faith working thru love.

Are we judged by faith or works?

What counts as works in the Bible?

_18 But some one will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder. 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish fellow, that faith apart from works is barren? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar? 22 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by works, 23 and the scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness”; and he was called the friend of God. 24 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?_ (Ja 2)
Keep in mind, the works of the OT law did not exist in Abraham's day. He offered his Son, a work of love (obedience to God). And his faith was made complete by works. Works - justified both him AND Rahab. When one is justified, one is 100% saved. A faith devoid of works of love can not save you.

At 33:48j... Mr Gendron states, concerning justification,
- It declares the inflexible righteousness of God as the Judge who must punish every sin that has ever been committed by everyone who has ever lived.
- The only way condemned sinners can be justified is through faith in the sin-bearing, substitutionary death and resurrection of Christ alone who satisfied divine justice.
-Justification is the change of one's legal status before God whereby a condemned sinner has been acquitted and declared righteous. (Rom. 5:12-21).
-Justification is instantaneous (Romans 4:3)
-The Bible says justification is by faith in what God accomplished in Christ (Rom. 5:1)
-Justification is permanent and is never lost by sin. The legal status of a justified man is a unchangeable as the righteousness of Christ (Heb 10:14).
-Justification is the imputation of Christ's completed righteousness to the justified (2 Cor.5:21; Rom.4:5)
The major problem here is that none of these words are the words of scripture. So is Mr. Gendron establishing himself as the "magisterium" for the church? Does Mr. Gendron have teaching authority? Where does Mr. Gendron's authority come from to make these statements?

I love scriptures that take the burden off...I can do nothing, NOTHING apart from Jesus and 'blessed are tge poor IN SPIRIT for theirs IS the Kingdom of Heaven. I have nothing in and of myself that makes me right with God but because He loved me and forgave me loads and loads I love Him and want to bless Him...to be cleansed, to live Holy as HE enables me to in wondrous just amazing fellowship with Him. He is awesome!!!!
I would agree with that; repentance and confession work hand in hand with the justification of faith; they certainly aren't anathema or even opposed to one another.@@janelouisebriggs2999

The Word of God is Jesus Christ. John chapter 1.
Psalm 51 can also be used as a sinners prayer!
This is the second of your vids I have watched (still watching this one). You do a great job, may the Lord bless you.
I also believe in Acts2:38 in Order to be saved 🙏🏻
R. Mantey have maintained that the Greek preposition eis in Acts 2:38 should be translated “because of” or “in view of,” not “in order to” or “for the purpose of.”
The same Greek word (eis) is translated “at” in Matthew 12:41:
The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at (eis) the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here.
Yes please pray for o got tricked and was rushed. Sins bad not thinking but ran back
Major surgery after being saved and in church. It’s like HE SPIT ME OUT as if I was nothing. I Feel my mind was erased and HE JUST THREW ME OUT. I want me back. When I was not in sins HE didn’t help me. Didn’t give me chance to even sleep down and seek who was PULLING ME
That’s not the gospel. Look at 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 that is the gospel. It doesn’t include water baptism. Salvation is by faith. Acts 16:30-31, 2 Timothy 3:15. That’s What the apostles taught. Once you get saved you’re eternally saved beacuse Jesus is the author of eternal salvation (Hebrews 5:9 KJV)
The Bible was compiled by the Catholic Church ❤. Around 110A.D Saint Ignatius of Antioch used, for the first time in Christian literature, the expression “catholic church,” meaning the whole church that is one and the same wherever there is a Christian congregation. ❤I am proud to be Catholic ❤

They greet her countless times each day with the angelic greeting, "Hail, Mary", while prostrating themselves before her, begging her as a favour to honour them with one of her requests. JESUS CHRIST, FULLY GOD, FULLY MAN, SINLESS, THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION! When JESUS CHRIST speaks of the church, He means the Body of Christ, not the pagan cult of Catholicism. The first use of the term "Catholic Church" (literally meaning "universal church") was by Ignatius of Antioch (c. 50-140) in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans (circa 110 AD). This is an example of an apostate that the apostle Paul warned about in the LORD'S Holy Word. The true church is not a man-made denomination, it is simply the Body of Christ. [14] Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. No wonder...you are hoping that a person or a church can do in you only what Christ can.

He doesn’t read the Early Church Fathers because to go deep in history is to cease to be Protestant
The Bible ? Our book ? Nothing wrong with Scripture. In fact, it's sacred. Know what isn't sacred ? Your interpretation of that sacred Scripture.

So basically they became apostates and abandoned the one true church for a charlatan's lies.

Ok, I try to clarify and correct the nonsense you wrote in your comment as short as possible.
Ignatius of Antioch wrote in the 1st century A.D. in chapter 7 of his epistle to the the Smyrnaeans AGAINST THE HERETICS the following:
"They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess NOT THE EUCHARIST TO BE THE FLESH OF OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again."
This is the represetive faith about the Eucharist of the early church of Jesus Christ.
Ignatius of Antioch who was martyred around 107 A.D. wrote in his epistle in chapter 8:
"Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the CATHOLIC CHURCH."
It clearly proves the Catholic Church existed already in the 1st century A.D.

---quote---Traditions: unquote
What does Scripture say about tradition?
[8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. [9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
----What do Scripture and tradition make up?
The Church teaches that both Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture form one sacred deposit of the word of God (Dei Verbum, 10). The gospel of Jesus Christ is the source of all saving truth and moral discipline, and as such it must be conveyed to all generations
----Mark 7:13 in Other Translations
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. 13 thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do."
-----
(1) It is Scripture that is said to be God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16), and it is Scripture that has the repeated, “Thus saith the LORD...” In other words, it is the written Word that is repeatedly treated as God’s Word.
FACT: Roman Catholic Church does not predate any Scriptures. It came in ad300s. It was made the official religion of Rome in ad380 by Theodosius. Scriptures was written by Jewish Christian Apostles and Jewish Prophets. Not Roman Catholics. Acts 9:31 says nothing of Roman Catholic Church. Stop misquoting. Acts 9:31 clearly says the Christian Church spread to Judea Samaria and Galilee regions of Israel; not Rome. So all your claims fall to the ground. Bible only approves traditions of Jesus and Apostles. 2 Thes 2:15. But Bible rejects all man made unbiblical traditions of Pharisees and Roman Church alike. Mat 15, 23. Roman Church doctrines came from its own man made traditions. Not from Jesus or Apostles or Scriptures. 95% of them are so.

-----quote----He transfered to Peter the keys of the kindgom of heaven and ONLY HIM. unquote
Keys OF THE KINGDOM of Heaven---NOT KEYS TO HEAVEN!!!
Jesus gave Peter “the keys of the kingdom of heaven,” not the keys to heaven.1 A key was a badge of authority ( Luke 11:52 ), and then as now was used to open doors. Peter used the keys Christ gave him to open the door to the Jews on the Day of Pentecost ( Acts 2 ), to the Samaritans after the preaching of Philip ( Acts 8:14-17 ), and to the Gentiles after the Lord had sent him a vision and an appeal from Cornelius ( Acts 10 ).
-----quote---Additionally he gave him the authority to bound and lose sins on earth and in heaven, this he also gave the other Apostles. unquote
Catholic Encyclopedia: The Pope: "The expressions binding and loosing here employed are derived from the current terminology of the Rabbinic schools. A doctor who declared a thing to be prohibited by the law was said to bind, for thereby he imposed an obligation on the conscience. He who declared it to be lawful was said to loose."

I am Catholic but open to the idea that Protestantism is more valid, hence I watch these types of videos. God bless this man, but I don't know who catechized him, where he went to mass, what church/priests gave him some of his information. I don't doubt his veracity about his experiences, but what he experienced is not the true Catholicism handed on by the church officially. I'm not an apologist nor especially smart, but I can promise you the Catholic Church does not think we earn our own salvation, but that it is given by grace through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
False doctrine leads us astray. 1 Timothy 4:1-4. But Christ is kind, full of grace and mercy, and even the best of us go astray. This is not an attack just a matter of sound doctrine. In order to receive salvation, we must all repent and accept Christ as our Lord and savior.
So earning grace doesn't decrease time In purgatory ?
@@redbird9000-- We do need to be baptised. Mr Gendron gets off the Romans Road a little too early. We do need the Eucharist, because our Lord said we do. We do need to confess our sins, because, otherwise we sort of end up in hell --- not a place any Christian wants to be! And also because Jesus said we need to. We need a pope because Jesus founded the Church and gave us a pope to govern it. I agree with you that we do not NEED to venerate Mary, yest we do so out of love and respect.

Thank you! I agree!
Also didn't the Lord allow Himself to be Baptisted by John the Baptist and the Holy Spirit came down on the Lord and a voice of the Father came from Heaven, say this is my beloved in whom I am well pleased
So I will do as my Lord does.
Baptism is a must and to live that baptismal vow..

In summary: the Rosary is 65% directly to Jesus and about him.
I am no longer a Catholic because the church has nullified the Word of God by its traditions which are in conflict with it. It comes down to authority.
Amazing Mike! It brings me joy seeing all the Catholics in the comment section drawn to your video! The Holy Spirit is stirring them, praise God. What a beautiful sight!❤️

@@mattrondeau7466yes, thats true. Catholics want to boast of their own works to be saved. But we Christians believe in the finished work of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Christians do good things bcoz we are already saved not to be saved.
