Refreshing to hear some credit for the Swans. I feel like before this, it's been week after week of Kingy banging on about how he's 'not convinced', even directly after the WB game. Sydney being left out of the 'three contenders' that Kingy had at the start of the season. It took Leigh Montagna of all people to correct it.
They'll get their two home finals. What matters is if they can just go all the way. Dominant sides like pies 2011 and richmond 2018 looked unstoppable in their seasons yet fumbled hard in September
You couldn't argue that the Swans have had a soft draw. They've had arguably the toughest draw of any team this year and won continually. Its an incredible season they're putting together. It's the best season of any team that i can remember.
Sydney were clearly the best side in 2014 and got blown away by Hawthorn in the first quarter of the GF. Were the best side in 2016 and luck (and the umpires) considerably favoured the Dogs, and were premature in making the 2022 GF. In their 150th season the Bloods need to win it this year …
They've had a really good first half of the season and let's remember there's still a lot of football to be played. At the start of the season if you told me that for large parts of the season so far the Swans would be missing Parker, McCartin, Mills, Rampe and Adams and be sitting two games clear only having lost one game 🤯 I would of told you to go see a therapist 😂 but AFL is a funny game and I didn't see this start coming but I'm sure internally they know they haven't achieved anything yet 💯
Yeah tell us what you think Kingy, is a four-peat in the offing for Sydney? (After saying there were only 3 teams that could win it about a fortnight ago and the Swans were nowhere within earshot.)
Yeah, it just takes being top of the ladder, percentage of 150, and three of the best midfielders in the game. Then the VFL....sorry the AFL... are obliged to talk about the swans.
lets settle down a bit first off to compare this swans team to the cats/hawks in their primes is a massive stretch, Geelong won 3 grand finals in 5 years/Made 5 consecutive prelims, Hawthorn made 4 grand finals in a row won a 3 peat and also made 5 consecutive prelims. Sydney in recent history have always been a really good home and away team but their 2-7 grand final record since the afl era shows that they go missing on the big stage. i say this with all due respect as i wouldn't mind the bloods getting up, great culture and they honestly deserve a flag for how consistent theyve been. but until they win one there just a better port adelaide. lets see what the bloods have in 2024
It's not a stretch to compare their home and away season stats if they'recomparable. I think you thought they were comparing team success with a premiership window say 5 years.
I think you maybe right. Everyone was raving about Heeney (Sydney) being the best player. Now Warner (Sydney) is the best player. Let's not forget Gulden (Sydney) who almost won it last year at the end of the season. Alas....the boys will steal votes of each other....Oh well.... I hope you can make it Collingwood. It wouldn't be the same without you.
Got beat by richmond and only started to pull away from the doggies after 3 injuries... the only team of note they've beat away so far was a round 1 collingwood who were a mess.
They have a percentage of over 150 and a 100% win rate against the 5 top 8 teams they've played. They comprehensively beat Essendon, Melbourne, GWS, Fremantle, and Carlton as well as Collingwood. What on earth are you talking about? These are all teams either firmly in the 8 or pushing to be there. Bad take.
People saying the swans will fall are drawing a longbow. With the figures that were read out as they said, it's not your average top of the ladder team. So this means it would have to be a "massive" fall rather than a normal decline. Then we have McCartin and Callum Mills to come in. It's wishful thinking or sour grapes for those who think this all conquering team will do a complete reverse. 🦢

If a Victorian team was doing what Sydney are doing, half of every one of these review shows would be spent talking about them.
Kingy hated Joey talking up the Bloods. He still rates Geelong … 😂
Montagna will get his media credentials taken off him for mentioning Sydney on one of these shows.
weird way to say you couldnt hold your attention to 2:20
@@hydratedhomie5122 hes saying that the bias vfl media wont like him praising sydney so theyll kick him off
@@hydratedhomie5122 huh?
Yeah, he definitely went over the strict 90 seconds that is allowed for non-Victorian clubs. You can see Kingy was stressed and uncomfortable.

Worst showing the Swans have had since Gather Round, and we still ground out the win.

They are a VERY good team but lets not go crazy so early
Please.. I’m a swans supporter.. until this team has achieved objective success they’re just another team until then.
The typical comment from bandwagon supporters. Well done. 🤫
Yeah I can't argue with that.

Weird hearing the Mexicans even talking about the swans.
It’s not weird hearing Sydney cygnets whinge…
Common actually

this is what academys can do ... either get rid of them or scrap the draft
Swans are overrated crows will smash them both games for last year 🔥

Ummm, do you even watch AFL?
Talk them up but the Swans lost to Richmond…
Collingwood lost to Hawthorn last year.
It was a mulligan. Look at the ladder, mate … 😂
You gotta win it first ...and win by a decent margin
