    Michael worked on my wife's antiques jubilee bracelet and it came back looking brand new. He's truly a magician and I would recommend him to anyone.

      That's awesome to bring them back to life. How much did you invest in them? I just had my 1993 Rolex date just I bought new. Fixing the bracelet stretch was hard to find a good guy. I found one. Full service's band pins replaced, buffed and polished with 1 year warranty for only 350 USD. BACK IN TWO WEEKS. THANKS. NEAL FLORIDA

    I had my Rolex bracelet restored by Michael and I am very satisfied. I shipped my bracelet from Los Angeles in July 2020 and received it back in August 2020. Yes, in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic. I would recommend his service to anyone in the world.

    The quote that came back from my local Rolex agent to overhaul my Oysterquartz Datejust watch (17000 model) was insane - like $2000. That's to send it to the HQ in Geneva since that's apparently "the only place that has the vintage parts". This guy looks like a better deal.

    I don't know where people have this idea that watch collectors hate quartz. Sure there are hardcore snobs out there, but for the most part we don't like quartz watches because they are either extremely cheap or utterly overpriced. However, the Rolex Oyster Quartz in not a normal quartz watch. It's over engineered and it's beautifully designed. Watch collectors would know the engineering marvels that are GS Spring Drives, Breitling's superquartz, and even FP Journe's Elegante.

    I keep hearing how great his work is but in all honesty he seems like a lousy businessman. Tried several times over the years to have his shop do work and never got anywhere, starting with communications. How do people get in touch with him? Does he work for the public or is his shop only reserved for a private clientele? I’m confused by this business.

  • @demof1ffff
    @demof1ffff 5 років тому

    Not sure about the use of the term 'magician'. The screws he uses in the service are after market parts which seem to wear a lot faster than genuine rolex screws. I mean once you send your rolex bracelet to this guy it comes back 60% Rolex and 40% fake bits and pieces. Plus he is notorious for overpolishing the hell out of bracelets and also leaving thermal heat damage when he laser welds.

  • @Timberjagi

    I just saw the emperor go by wearing no cloths as usual what a load of hype crap
    Rolex is not that fantastic, try a Roger Smith watch that is a real hand crafted watch and really does take a year to make , and his output is about 10 watch's a year, Rolex make a million watches a year were is the craft in that

    • @whyaskmenoely25
      @whyaskmenoely25 6 років тому +3

      Rolex perfected their craft. Quantity doesn't mean quality but quality isn't limited by quantity.

    • @auxmike
      @auxmike 6 років тому +2

      Rolex is money in the bank when it’s time to sell. Roger Smith? Never heard of it. Been collecting them all for 18 years now. Everything else you’ll take a huge loss on. Especially Breitling!

    • @madtonesbr
      @madtonesbr 6 років тому +1

      These are collector Rolexes though. You won't find 1960s Rolexes anymore. Roger Smith still uses modern machinery and isn't making anything collectible like these. Apples and oranges. Rolex were pioneers and these watches are the ones that have influenced history and modern watchmaking.
      The anti-Rolex brigade is the flag that is the fervor of recent converts. For some reason people who just got into watches recently have a tendency to backlash against Rolex but real aficionados who are educated know why collectors love them.
      As they way, when you know nothing of watches, you love Rolex. When you know a bit about watches, you dislike them. But once you know a lot about watches, you love them again. I encourage you to keep learning.
