I'm a black American historian and I 've started researching the entire culture of Ghana. Videos such as this go a long way in helping me to understand the nation better. I really like Ghana from afar based on what I've learned. I would love to visit there one day as well as invest in the country in some sort of way. Not much , but that my father who is 85 year's old , grand father is originally from Ghana and I have more than 50 % in my blood. And that is why praise God,I am this dark and strong , but I'm still researching.

I just received my results from ancestry.com and my DNA showed From my father side they traced --- GHANA 26% and Cameroon 24% ancestrys. we also did my mother DNA it showed 24% GHANA ANCESTRYS . I have Ghanians friends and was told long time ago, my features was theirs , I am so happy to know where my family was stolen from, now I finally feel whole. Now I can re-coup for sure, my heritage. Father side 26%, and it has a very high percentage and they are in Laurel Mississippi . Trust me they have all the facial and body features of Ghanaians . My mother has 24% of Ghanaian and Benin . I knew one day in life that we as black Americans would find out where we all originated. I don't feel lost anymore. I truly has connected. When I found this out. RazberryCookie, I actually cried, their was something in me that scream Yes , you found out where home really is. very emotional. Now when I party with my African friend, I'm no longer a lost child. My ancestors can rest now.
