I just returned my Z Fold 6 for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Don't miss the Galaxy one bit.
@@DeadofWinter321 Played with the 9 Pro Fold at Best Buy and definitely prefer the near bezeless on the Fold 6. The bezels on the 9 Pro Fold and the front are hideous.

Such a dumb reason based off SoC.
Google could've maintained Snapdragon as the primary processor in Pixel phones, adding a Tensor chip for AI-specific tasks, similar to how other manufacturers use dedicated AI chips. This would've balanced performance and power efficiency while enhancing AI capabilities.
Don’t be fooled by Google. All manufacturers using AI chip. This is very slow phone for such big price!
@@SergeyCoder Yup. This is a good phone for $600. At the price thy launched at, it's ridiculously overpriced.
They couldn't, at least after releasing the Pixel 6/Pro.
They have a contract with Samsung until this year, which results in using a different chip, i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, next year.
they could've used their own modified version of the exynos 2400 or similar idk why they didn't, maybe their ass cooling can't handle it
That sounds good in theory, but it would be expensive for them interms of profit margin. What they could have done better is to use all the latest components available for SOCs, like the latest ARM processor, the latest Mali-GPU, and the latest UFS storage. The latest Exynos cores, since they decided to stick with Samsung for one more year. All of this would have made it at least 20% faster.

Software is not everything. You can’t optimize software with garbage hardware and expect great results. I commented this on many pixel videos and still stand by it. Processor isn’t the main problem here, it’s the storage Google decided to use. Stupidos are still using UFS 3.1 while Samsung is on UFS 4.0 or 4.1 something. This is similar to having a badass graphics card in a pc with top of the line processor but still using a HDD instead of SSD OR M.2. You basically bottleneck your phone. Hopefully next year they come to their senses when they have a fully in house processor they also use latest memory hardware with it.

Nah , S25 ultra vs 16 pro max ✅️
@@Ahmad.Mujtaba.Marzi.s24, pixel 9 and iPhone 16 are all phones released in 2024. Only fair to compare them to their own generation rivalling phones
@@NuSuntRaresh when you have a baby mind , the distance between iphone 16 pro max and S25 ultra is 3 months and 15 days while with s24 ultra is over 8 months , please use this 🧠
@@Ahmad.Mujtaba.Marzi. picture this. Apple releases their latest phone processor running on a 3nm architecture. A couple of months later, basically the upcoming year, Samsung releases their flagship, the s24 ultra, with the snapdragon processor running on a 4 nm architecture. So the phone was released shorty after but still had a worse cpu architecture. Let’s assume that the s25 ultra will use a processor with a 3nm architecture. Is that now on par with the a17 pro which was released in 2023? I do believe so. Tech reviewers said at the end of 2023 that the best phone in 2023 is the s23 ultra. Some said that it shares the title with the iPhone 15 pro. So they compare phones released in the same year. What’s your point? It’s clearly wrong. Use your brain 🧠
@@Ahmad.Mujtaba.Marzi.lol Samsung did that on purpose so smooth brains like you would say that. Funny how over the past decade the Galaxy launch dates kept getting earlier and earlier… they didn’t want to get compared to the latest iPhone but also wanted to be just ahead of the last iPhone that people would say “three months isn’t that big difference”, fell right into their trap. It’s a case study we did for my MBA. Look at their launch dates a decade ago.
Tensor chips are basically just average mid range processors with some extra ai gimmicks
They are not at all AI gimmicks if you know how to use it properly. They are amazing features that no phone can currently match, not even Samsung or the new iPhones that are releasing.
Midrange socs are way slower
@@MehulSathyanarayan they are 110% gimmicks. every single one of them.
Always the most reliable speed and battery tests from this channel. Looking forward to your other tests of the Pixel 9 pro xl
Question; do y'all enable the RAM Plus feature on the Galaxy when you do the speed test? Have you compared using that feature versus not? I'd be interested to know.
PIXEL: I'm pro
SAMSUNG: I'm ultra
APPLE: I'm a fruit
The Pixel 9 is not a good deal at all. So for $1000 you better get a Galaxy or an iPhone.
You should make this after 3 months of updates again in December or so and against the s23 ultra to see how old flagships compare. One thing that doesn’t happen here that I’ve experienced with my S24 ultra is that many times when you go back to an app it completely relaunches the icon as if it was open from scratch but it opens wherever I left it, that “glitch or bug” is very annoying
Samsung has the best flagship
With a phone launching earlier in the year and still beating out all other flagships, it's just an amazing device
It lost to last year’s iPhone what r you talking about fam
it's far from amazing. What did we get for the price?
Fast charging ❌
Old storage speeds✅
Headphone jack❌
limited/boring/iphone-like UI✅
weak video performance✅
I can name plenty of mid-range devices with better specs.
@@Stankpitshentai Are you lost?
Please, do a battery test between these phones
You guys should do more speed tests for mid range phones such as galaxy a55 Vs nothing 2a.
not to hate but, trying to find speeds tests on devices that we already know are slow probably won't be worth making.
This isn’t surprising. The S24 Ultra has raw speed but the Pixel feels smoother to use in person. It all depends what you want out of a phone
It only feels smooth till you tax it's processor, then it can stumble and stagger. Try taking 50Mp images on a Pixel 9 Pro XL in a rapid manner and it stumbles and lags before failing to register any further pressing of the on screen capture button. An S24 Ultra would rattle this task off all day long. Wait for the Pixel 10 series. This will offer true flagship performance.
Nope
if smoother = slower then yeah, its smoother
Smoother UI but app opening and scrolling isn't as good
I'd love to see a speed test against a flagship's predecessor a few years back, eg. S24 vs S20
The pixel 9 pro xl is still the best phone I've used recently. Personally, I can only compare it to the OnePlus 12 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Thats my most recent phones.
Ppl used to rip on Samsung for having the slow and glitchy UI, now they're leading the pack. S25 ultra will be out in a few months too
s24+ exynos vs pixel 9 please, wanna see exynos vs exynos
People need to understand this: The Android face is Galaxy, not Pixel. The battle for the best phone is on Samsung vs Apple. Not to mention the One UI is one of the best UI out there. Google UI is stuck on 2015.
Can't believe google released a phone with last year's specs (and last year's software ((android 14)) 😂
When is the speed test with the iPhone 15 pro max dropping or it’s a no competition 😅
Samsung best
the biggest issue is not the cpu/gpu in tensor. the biggest issue is the ufs 3.1 storage. its the reason why iPhones were so dominant in this speed test a while ago before ufs 4 arrived on most androids. its very sad google didnt give us ufs 4 yet
Can’t wait for the iPhone 16 tests !
S24U is peak smartphone.
Very nice comparison
this world has only has 2 smartphones company, Apple and Samsung. Done
S25u will come with usf 4.1 which is 2x faster and finally fast enough to errase most load times. 4gb vs 8gb per second...
Also lpddr5x ram which does 10.7gb per second up from 6.4gb....
Both being above 8gb per second is the important part as it really helps speed things up
Imagine the ginormous map there will be when Samsung drops their overclocked 8 Gen4 next year
Imagine the sd gen4 destroyed by A18 pro desktop class cpu of the incoming iPhone 16 pro Max .. the SD gen3 not even run AAA console games
Pixel price is not fair obviously
One day will surely come when pixel owners will boycott and buy something else as selling midrange hardware for flagship price while having ai gimmicks which can either be found on other phones or wont make much difference 😂
It's already happening. PIxel is the most returned device in the USA. I returned the P9P
Finally, I logged in every day to check if this video was already available 😅
Nice video! Could you do more speed tests, like when 2 or phones lose to the same phone, compare them in a speed test
Tensor is really lagging behind. I don’t see how this is worth the price tbh.
I returned it.
day to day use its not far behind, just some more intense tasks like video editing and exporting and gaming
Samsung from the past few years has proved that you cannot go wrong with it's flagship
wasn't even surprised that the pixel lost
If Samsung manufactures the chipset and doesn't use it on their phone, it stands to reason the Google will be less effective even if performance isn't solely down to chipsets, they already have a head start there.
Pixels phones are like Honda Odyssey drivers, they daily drive like $H%T. 🤣🤣
The S24 Ultra was released seven months before, too. Ouch.
So funny how people try being picky and not accepting Samsung😂
I am picky and I hate Samsung. But there are so many other phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and they will all wipe the floor with the Pixel 9.
Most of the time it's because of oneui...because it sucks. Don't think I've ever heard of someone complain of samsung's hardware.

Nothing not expected, yet with the option I would choose the Pixel every time lol.. I will always love Samsung but have had a better experience on Pixels.
Google reserves 3GB of RAM exclusively for AI.
Wow this really made me appreciate the S24 Ultra even more
The only 3 things stopping me from buying Pixels is their
1. Build quality - got my power button come off even while using it as a secondary device ( Pixel 5 )
2. Overprocessing - Photos are too much over sharpened which is too bad for people photography but amazing for nature photography
3. Potrait Mode - The best lens is un-usable and doesn’t exist in potrait mode + edge detection is so bad + background blur looks like a filter that you can’t perfectly manually adjust while taking a photo ( Pixel 9 series )
Pixel 8 Pro was on sale often for $800. This phone is $100 less than the S24U (256 variants) with this type of performance. Google has lost their mind.
damn I was literally looking for this 10 minutes ago lol
You can still cancel your order. I returned mine after a week. The worst Flagship experience.
Of the 16 GB RAM in the Pixel, 4GB is reserved for AI.. So, for the use case of this test, both devices were equipped with 12GB RAM
The pixel app opening animation is just the smoothest.
With other manufacturer giving long and fast software support pixel is now just a midrange performing phone with a flagship price and yes there are lot of phones with better cameras
The thing of it is, if you only use one phone you'd never notice or care your phone is slower than another phone. In real time the Pixel will do everything you ask it to do. It has more than enough power.
Can't even blame the unoptimized Android version for the loss since it launched with last year's version.

PLEASE make a comparison of Exynos 2400 with tensor G4. I want people to see how great exynos 2400 is
Most of the difference is in the video processing task. The rest isn't really something to worry about if you use your phone like the average user. In fact a 4 year old flagship is still enough.
Of course, if you want to do heavier usage tasks often, then you'd probably consider not a Pixel.
Watching on my S24 Ultra ❤

Android vs android is fine, but every single android vs iPhone test is useless because you're putting the android at a disadvantage; you remove the back button and add the swipe.
Run a test with an iPhone vs android with the android back button and see the difference.
You should do a test for normal pixels as well
I love these videos
And the s24 ultra is 7 months into its lifespan.... big yikes on Google's part
Hope tsmc made pixel 10 would be powerful.
All apps kept in memory. This was the PROCESSOR TEST.
Tensor 4 is a piece of sh**....average :)
More apps could only give us the bigger advantage of fast UFS4.0 memory in S24U
Google should just fire their custom SoC fabritation division and stuff it with a Qualcomm chip, clearly they can’t compete so they might as well source the best mobile chip.
I had the pixel 6 pro and 8 pro now. Google really needs to use a modern chip. Its a great phone but the speed is bad. Supposedly Tensor 5 is gonna actually have some power
