My name is Ron. I was bit by the kayak fishing bug, and now I'm an addict. Follow me on my journey through the marsh on my hunt for redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. On the hunt to get my fix I'll share what I've learned, the locations I fish, and the techniques and equipment I use, and I hope to learn from your comments as well!

I’m Ready for the next video! You have an amazing channel and a great eye for putting together video. I hope you continue to put out more content! I’ve been watching you for awhile. I live in the Tampa Bay Area and I have a daughter that goes to UNF. Every time I got see her I hear the marsh calling. Never fished it but you make it look awesome!
Thanks for the encouragement Daniel. I plan on getting back out there but life keeps getting in the way :). This won't be my last video by any means though!
I’m missing your videos Ron. Get back on it!!!!
@@douglacount5058 Thanks for the encouragement.
What a perfect day on the water. Outstanding work on the video!
Thanks for your generous kindness!
Hey Ron. Haven’t seen much content from you lately. Hope everything is ok and you will be back on the water soon.
Thanks. Yes, I'll be posting more content this year. Gotta wait for a little bit of sun and a few fish to bite first.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
the spring bite is on, I hope you are out there getting new footage for videos!!!
Glad to hear they're biting :).
Great videos! Just looked up that Boga Grip scale you were using. Very cool piece of gear!
Thanks! Yes, the boga is nice....a bit pricey...but nice. Tight lines.
Where you at man?! its fishing time again! Hope all is good miss your vids
Thanks Corey. I appreciate the encouragement. I will return.
Very cool video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for commenting and watching. Tight lines.
Haven't seen a new video in awhile. Hope all is well with you and yours!
Thanks Joanne. I've been battling the cold, hurricanes, and getting sick. I'll be back out there though!
@@KayakFishingAddict Take Care!!
hey you should fish spruce creek again you could launch at three bridges and head west youl run into a train bridge pretty good fishing but keep going back further west you will catch alot of good fish
Thanks for the tip! I do need to get back down there. I use a lot of drone footage though and I think it's a no fly zone in most of that area.
Nice~
Thanks.
When’s the next video coming out? I’ve been really enjoying your content! Hope all is well!
Thanks Anthony. It's been a rough set of months for me. I'll get back out there soon. Thanks for watching and understanding!
Need to get back on the water, Ron! Miss your posts!
I totally agree. It's been a challenging few months.
Yo bro I fish just north of where you do. Is dope to see other kayak fishers in the same area. Sweet vid btw.
Thanks. It is great to live in an area like this isn't it!
@@KayakFishingAddict sure is
Hope you are doing ok, you haven’t put out new vids . 😢stay safe
Thanks. I'm gearing up for a new season.
Great video Ron I've been wondering how come you haven't posted any new videos lately
Thanks for asking. It's been a rough few months. Now I just need to get back into the schedule ..... these videos are a lot of work :).
@@KayakFishingAddicthey Ron, like most on here I miss your videos. Hopefully things are going better for you. I’m local in Palm Coast, let me know if there’s anything I can do to help out!
@@NicsFlix Thanks Nick. I appreciate the feedback.
Time for more content. Spring kayak adventures sounds like great fishing.
You got that right!
I gotta try that bait! Good to see u back out!
Thanks. Hope to see you out there soon.
Ron can you tell me please who performs this song in the background... name of song and artist and keep up the good work
Really cool song if you're referring to the opening song! It's called "Let Me Have This Dance" by Sture Zetterberg. It's on epidemic sound - www.epidemicsound.com/referral/59fj5d
Thank you for getting back with me and looking forward to your videos again
Love to see you using those baits.....Been using hard-baits all the time for rainbows & small-mouth bass. Separately, could you comment on the use of the GoPro? In particular, do you prefer to wear or mount the camera? Thanks in advance!!
Thanks. I agree, these baits are great. As for the GoPro, take a look at this for my setup - ua-cam.com/video/iNvnp5uNOeE/v-deo.html
Do you ever fish the Daytona beach area up near ormond. near the bridges?
All the time. This was filmed in the Ormond Beach marsh just south west of High Bridge.
Outstanding as always. Hope to see you on the water someday. Tight lines.
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback!
the small mirrodine is amazing, this one looks good for everything too especially bass
I like the mirrodine too. The build quality is a higher quality alternative.
Where have you been my friend, miss your content!
Life has just been getting in the way. Thanks for the comment though!
Love your videos! And thanks for not shouting "Let's Go !" after hooking into every fish. It's refreshing.
Glad you enjoy the videos!
Don't know if anyone else noticed, but trout season is closed. He shows in the video he is keeping it! Calling FWC!
Thanks for the info Ted. It is closed Nov 1 - Dec 31 in this area. Post production takes a while; this was filmed at the end of October :).
This has been my go-to for Redfish for years! It's awesome! I love the Pilchard color for my waters. Cheers!
Yep!
Great videos! I just moved into a house right off the Tomoka river, by the state park. Do you have any pointers on what color lures to use in the river? I’m fishing on a hobie kayak and trying to find spots on the river for snook.
Welcome to the area. You'll love the fishing here. The typical dark lure in dark water, light lure in light water tends to work. You'll see all of the lures I use in my videos with proof that they work. Also you can see what I'm using currently on my site www.KayakFishingAddict.com - just visit the shop page for my gear and tackle. Hope that helps.
How stable is the Kayak while fishing and what model would you suggest for a beginner at 69yrs young but I have a bad back and love to fish the specks in Louisiana. marshes. Great Video look forward to more and ordered the mullet bait cant wait to use it. Thanks Much
Hi Mark, thanks for the question. This is one of the most stable kayak's there is - Hobie Outback. Take a look at this video for my thoughts on it vs the Hobie Compass - ua-cam.com/video/jhB_oeiYprQ/v-deo.html . As far as a suggestion, it all depends on what type of fishing you plan on doing, do you need/want to stand while doing it, how "into kayak fishing" are you, and what's your budget. Overall, If you've never done it before, I'd recommend testing the waters with a used or rented kayak first. Either way, tell me a little more about your answers to those questions and I'll do what I can to assist you with a good recommendation.
Great video. Did you remove the video with Chad Hoover?
I think he's in this one... ua-cam.com/video/aTxAEDAyX_I/v-deo.html
Looks like a great day on the water
Thanks, it was.
I always look for your videos. You do such a great job at editing. I'm getting better with mine. Also, great catch on the Red and the Speck. Tight Line and look forward to the next one.
Thanks for watching lil' joe. It's good to know I'm getting better at this craft (editing)!
Where you been
Shivering in the house....it's been too cold to hit the water. Can't wait though!
@@KayakFishingAddict good reasoning lol.
to get the drone shots do you just lock it on to yourself and let it fly over head for a while and hope you catch something or do you launch it after you catch it? i have about 1 1/2 hours of battery time total and really just want to capture a hookset from overhead but I never catch a fish when its hovering
Ah, the tricks of the trade. If you have a drone that will follow you it'll be easy provided you can maintain line of sight with it that is.
Haven't heard from you in a LONG WHILE (no new videos)... do you take the summer months off from the heat too? I have my kayak (came a month late), I have my trailer fully fabricated... I have purchased all my electronics (10 and 20 ampHour Noqua, Lowrance Elite 9 Ti and a few GoPro cameras).. but it still needs to be assembled and attached....I'd be glad to pay you for your time if you are looking for something to do. I am a school teacher so I am free weekends.... ALSO, I live in Ponte Vedra Beach, so I am short commute to you...
It has been a while. Thanks for noticing. I'm gearing up myself and plan to be back on the water delivering even better videos soon. Thanks for the offer but I'm not looking for something to do....life is just in the way :).
Caught a 35" snook around that area back in the marsh a year ago. After Ian the marsh is much higher and more friendly to pedal kayaks. I have yet to catch a trout there but hopefully this year will change that. These videos really assist me in getting a reality check and making plans for fishing the marsh. You might mention the finished construction on the high bridge ramp (finally!)
Wow, 35" is a toad! Nice catch there. Yes, the water levels are higher now that we're in this part of the year. I like that although it's far more water to search for the fish. I didn't realize the high bridge boat ramp was done....I tend to launch at the local pull off on the west side of the bridge....I'll have to go over there and see what all of the construction was about. Tight lines.
@@KayakFishingAddict I just drove past and saw it was open too. After Nicole passes through, I'm heading there with my canoe and my pup to see if we can get some snook. I always get a really nice snook there. Even when it's a rough go and it's the only thing I catch. My best is 28" out of there in the early summer. I still have a ton of custom hand poured baits I'm waiting to give you next time we run into each other. I got a 5" paddletail mold now too
@@sakfpv8444 Nice. I hope Nicole doesn’t stir up the water too much!
I want to fish with you
Thanks Jared.
Started using them last month, they are unbelievable! Great video, its funny that you dont grip your reel while fishing. Never saw that. Sarasota fishermen
Glad they're working for you too Shane. The reel I'm using is the Lew's Custom Lite Speed Spool reel....it's as light as a feather and small....but I think I do the same with my other reel's too so maybe it's me :).
@@KayakFishingAddict lol hey, do what works . keep the videos coming, especially using those lures. I changed my front hook to a smaller inline size because it tends to get caught up on my 25lb mono.
@@rdo075 will do and the smaller hook on the front is a good move!
do you still make videos?
I do.... when life allows it :). I'll be back on the water with my cameras again hopefully soon.

@Kayak fishing Addict great video and I also sent you a email
Thanks!
I need to come up and fish that marsh. I haven't been having any luck on the Spruce Creek as you may see in my last video release 🫤
It's a great fishery. It's tough all around after Ian. Focussing on finding the right conditions has done the trick for me.
