I've put these on my 2018 Pathfinder 4WD 2 years ago, 27,000 miles. The OEM Toyo Open County that came on it only lasted 30K miles... I live in upstate SC & we get some snow in the winter, & I drove them in 6 inches of snow & never slipped or loss traction. They are smooth & quiet at 70mph freeway driving also.. These are great tires for a crossover/ SUV..
I do have these EXACT tire, size and all. No lift. I am satisfied but not impressed. After about a year, but like 25,000-30,00 miles I’m already needing a new set. Tread did not last. They were great at first in rain, but now hydroplane A LOT! Main reason I’m replacing so soon because as a storm chaser tires are critical to be the best.
Have the exact same tire size on my 2021 Crosstrek sport. Anyone wanting to get rid of the true junky Yokies that come stock on the car will be impressed with these tires. They do well in snow(I live in northern Idaho) wet pavement, loose trail DG, and dry pavement. I lost about One mile per gallon and have not noticed any increased road noise over stock tires. Subaru should consider these tires for stock tires……..
Good video! I have them on my Crosstrek and love them. I spend 5 months a year in Vt on snowy roads and they are fantastic!!! Great tire for crossovers.... Will be putting them on my Outback Wilderness as well....
On my SJ, I have a 235/70/16 which is 29" tall tire. I run them on a 16x7 +35 wheel and they fit on stock suspension. However, if you go any bigger than a 29" tire in overall diameter, your rears will rub in a very bad way. the 235/65/17 will be the biggest tire you can run without issue assuming your wheel offset isnt too wacky.
I have 225/65R17 Ko2 on my stock ‘15 Foz 2.5i CVT. It really revealed the lack of tolerance the OEM wheel bearings has for heavier tires as all the wheel bearings were slowly being tapped out and covered by extended warranty (literally worth its weight in gold). Is this a shared experience with your setup? Do you know of any company that produces stronger wheel bearings?
Appreciate the video. I live in SW Texas and looking for something for a 2022 Jeep Renegade that has to deal with occasional ranch roads and trails here, but most of the time on pavement. Rocks can be a problem off-road here.
I saw your video where you had the Nitto Nomad Grapplers, how do the Wildpeak AT Trail's compare to those? Would you prefer one over the other? My main concern is tread life expectancy and actually on-road performance more than anything in the snow, slush, and I don't do anything too aggressive offroad in my Forester but I do occasionally go on some forest service roads.
Beach driving experience with 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i w/ CVT in Gearhart, Oregon is hard pack sand is doable, soft pack sand is doable, and in between sand is doable. Yokohama Geolander G91 did well normal inflation rate, BFGoodwich KO2 did well normal inflation rate, and Cooper Discovery AT3 4S did well normal inflation. The Subaru awd system is confidence boosting, but the driver must exercise objective logic when playing around off trail. The awd system is a bit tough to utilize in an advantageous way when stuck in slush surrounded by ice, being stuck in a levy with much snow/ice, going up certain hill angles accompanied by unpaved road, and doesn’t like snow chains on ice roads(pulled a Tony hawk worthy spin once with those on some Ko2s).
been eyeing the 215/60r17 version of this tire for a mini suv. well, that mini suv doesn't have awd or 4x4 but i'm planning to do some light off road adventure and survival car. our place flood a lot, would be nice if i can climb to a higher ground. great video man
When I had my Forester about the only thing I could rely on where the tires. I have the 2014 Subaru Forester XT model and I had so many mechanical problems that I had to get rid of the vehicle. Pretty much after the last year I had it I had spent $6,000 to keep it on the road and when one thing broke something else would creep up and give me the middle finger. But overall I did like the tires since I traveled from Houston to Colorado all the time and they were perfect in snow.
What kind of issues did you have with it? I had to have an intake sprocket replaced but I'm mainly worried about the transmission going forward. I've heard it's a bit of a weakness.
I drive a Toyota Rav4 AWD and lost about 1.5 mpg, but it's understandable considering the kind of tire that they are. Falken even rated the tire fuel efficiency on their website. They gave it 3.5 out of 5.
You might want to reconsider going to a wider tire, which will add weight, and have less traction weight on the ground patch. Narrower tires are better for general overland use, which seems to be most of your driving. Check out the videos on running pizza cutter tires for overland driving. Cheers

The Open Country's lasted 50K miles on my Rav4 Adventure 3 years
The 65 in your tire size means the sidewall is 65% as tall as your tire is wide. The 235’s will be both wider and taller
Thanks for clarifying!
I wish it was the announced way, but the description is our shared reality😂🥂
Should i buy 225/60-17 for my 2018 subaru?
Was your mpg affected?
the michelin cross Climate 2 is a better tire, better stopping, better performance in deep snow and mud.
I have these on my AWD 2022 Transit 150, real quiet for the tread and have no issue reaching customers anymore

You may have just sold me on these, got the exact same car and want to get something for driving through canyons and ski resorts for this winter.

How about little greasy SE Idaho mud?
What did they do to your fuel economy on the highway?

use 245/65/R17
I have a set of wildpeaks on my cx5. They're awesome
For your friends who run the same size without a lift, you mentioned they are snug do they get rubbing?
Would also like an answer to this!

I have 30g on mine mostly off road north Arizona. These tires never fail 😊😊😊👍
A lot of folks I know who have run these have complained they wore out faster than expected.
Love those Sparco Wheels. I paired mine with Falken AT3W on my 20 Crosstrek.
I have a Toyota RAV4 hybrid and I want to get the Falken wildpeak at3w was wondering if it has mess with your gas mileage cuz I commute a lot everyday

May I have the wheel model and offset? Those are beautiful
I like those tires. 235 50 19 will go on my Mercedes crossover.
These or NITTO nomads which ones are better?
Looking into these for a P2 XC70, this video definitely helps, thanks!
Same here! Any word on them if you did go with them?

Good to know👍🏼
Handling? Do you notice handling in spirited driving?
I just put these on my 22 bronco sport, and I got 255/55/18 no rubbing no lift
How bad are these in snow?
I'm interested in this tire since they now come in 265/45r21.
Did you add any underbody skid plates like for gas tank & transfer case??

Light duty but not lighter than KO2s.
For a daily driver I would not take the MPG hit that comes with those tires.

People are reporting a 1-2 mpg difference. Literally less then 5 dollars difference per fill up
What PSI do you air down to?
I don’t believe I aired down that time. Would have helped out
