At about 3:10, it wasn't Ranai that DI'd out of the dancing blade, it was actually Dblade's hitbox that did that. Up close, the first strike of dancing blade knocks the opponent back, and at high percents, the dancing blade cannot be finished because of it. I'm sure Leo knew this; he just continued the dancing blade in the instance that the hitbox was normal.
Good job by both players. I main both Villager and Marth and have played this MU over 1000 times by now so needless to say, it was very easy for me to understand what was going on. MKleo won because he didn't let Ranai breath, which is how Marth beats Villager. Ranai really got pinned at the ledge for much of the game and, from experience, I can say that is a very unfavorable spot of Villager. TL:Dr, MKLeo's stage control was the deciding factor.
yes, im thinking the Villager player, in this matchup, should just spam air dodge, and Play the Campiest possible, Am i right? Mkleo was so on point, Mexicos best beat Japans best. Leo is the best player in the world, Hes 16 he is Defintly the best, How could he not be!?! he has wrecked Zero Larry Ally Nairo MewTwo King Oh yea hes 16 HOW IS LEO NOT THE BEST?!!? oh yea so am i right about my thoughts on how villager should play the matchup?
Draco Pheonix Yes, Villager wants to play very defensive since when Marth gets in, his long sword can catch you very easily and can put you in bad spots. Also the tip can kill Villager very early due to his weight. AKA Villager wants to play as safe as possible. So yes, you are right though don't become predictable with your fairs or Air-dodges obviously.
okay this comment section is full of wtf. 1) mkleo isn't the best 2) no you don't want to spam air dodge that could lead you to a real fcked up day. 3) villager isn't that light. it's just tipper is strong. 4) villager at the ledge is fine for him as long as you know what you are doing. now it's Marth's speed, grab speed, sword, and positioning that make it hell for villy.
My two favorite players...

As you can see, this happens as well at about 5:14, but Ranai is at a low enough percent that he barely was caught by the follow-ups of dancing blade.
How the hell did Leo manage to spike Ranai at 4:30 during the invincibility frames? Does it have to do something with the baloons?
Zack Zavage Ranai dropped the edge.
Ranai re-grabed, maybe its because of that.
david jurado Nah he got hit then grabbed
david jurado It wasn't a regrab. Ranai dropped the ledge but you couldn't see it.
One of my dreams involves these 2 teaming together for dubs.
Am I seeing things or did Ranai do a sliding tree plant at 2:11? How does that work?
The tree was already planted and partially watered- you can walk with the watering can out so he took a stroll and did some casual gardening.
Mkleo looked like Zero with the stage pressure he put on Ranai
Anyone 2019?
5:34 triple powershield o.o

Draco Pheonix He's not the best, Zero completely wrecked him this toruney

dont even have to play the match up to understand it easily, so obvious lmao
this is literally the dream match
Is it just me or did that spike in the second set hit ranai through his ledge invincibility
why does leo have to be so good?
Leo is a young sm4sh god
Outset no no no captain Zack is a young sm4sh god
no no no that picture is like a sonic main. DISGUSTING
Out spacing villager is how you win :/ (or paying 5.99) gg's leo
Rest in pepperoni, Renai
sadly ranai was bodied...
ジャスガ率どうなってんだよ
Apparently MKLeo is from "Mwxico"
lol
Only other time they played was in Leo's hotel room at frostbite, iirc leo won the majority of the games
攻めの気持ちいいマルスだ…
he let leo win -_-
Ranai was miss spacing so much stuff. :(
feelsbadman
Leo had some opportunities to counter the rocket from Villager which could've helped a few times but other than that Leo did really good.
