Thank you! I use elastic but I make them so that the elastic is between the outside spine and the inside spine. Similar idea! I also love being able to take the signatures out to work on them! Good work!!
Thank you! I like the idea of elastic also. I may try that.
Great idea for a beginner💕
It sure is!
Your creative and a amazing good teacher 😊
Awe thank you very much, I love to give ideas when I can 🌹

Thank you so very much 🌹
Great video!
I transfer my Fabrifix into a Sugarbelles Icing and piping bottle. So much easier to use/squeeze, and the glue comes out in a finer line and saves money. Pam at the Paper Outpost taught me that. 😊
That’s a great idea! I’ll try that for sure! Thanks a bunch!❤
Put bottle in a jug full of hot boiling water xx love your tutorial ❤️ thank you 💞
That’s a great idea I’ll try that! Thank you❤
The full flip through is found here, it may have not been easy to find but I do have flips of the others that are done also.

What a great idea. Love it. I will certainly try this shabby look
I do love that look also! Thanks for staying to take a peek at my dabbles. Lol
These are great journals to make. Nice and easy. I use elastic binding which makes the signatures easy to put in and out. Thnaks for the tutorial . If you take the pages out of a hard cover book, you are left with the spine and it is a quick journal too :) Happy NY 😊
That style is on my agenda also this new year. I’m glad you refreshed my memory about doing the cover that way. Happy new year and I hope to see you again! Thanks for visiting.🌹
What a beautiful journal! Lots of great tips and ideas. New subscriber here.😊
Thanks for popping in for a peek! I loved this one too and so easy. I’ll be posting many more in the new year so I hope to see you again! Happy new year to you! 🌹
Very nice presentation and finished product. Very refreshing and interesting. Thanks for sweet visit.😊
Thank you so much! It’s such a fun way of creating a journal, I’m in the process of putting my own twist on it. Cant wait to show everyone the results. It’s A learning process. Thanks for visiting!

Happy crafting to you!
AMAZING, I LOVE THIS WAY 😍❤❤❤
I think I do too! It’s just so easy!
Thank you... beautiful!!!!!❤❤❤😂😂
Your welcome.😀
Hi Kathy, this is such a beautiful journal. You have done a fantastic job. I love it. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! Your beautiful prints make it easy to put together a work of art. I’m excited to decorate it. I want to make a journal from every print you have. I do everything from my phone so it gets a little difficult when I’m always running out of GBs lol such is life!
Beautiful work ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
New here….❤❤
Welcome , have fun crafting!!!🌹
This was a lovely journal, thanks for sharing. For your glue, I've heard you can thin it down with acetone - nail varnish remover - but I've never tried it myself. But worth a try, as you can't use it when it is too thick to come out.
Thanks for the tip! I’m going to try that as I have wasted a lot of glue. Thank you so much!
It works wonderfully
Thanks for the info!
Great tutorial. What I couldn't find are the dimensions of the book boards used. Are these measurements located in another video or website?
Hi there thanks for taking a peek at my journal. What I usually do is choose the size of paper I’m using first. In this journal I used copy paper folded in half. Then when cutting my book board I add a 1/4” to the sides and cut the book board that size so it has room on the edges. If I were using smaller sheets of paper I would add the 1/4” to them and make the book board that size. The spine is whatever width you need and the length of the book board. Thanks for stopping in and Happy New Years!🌹
Thank you for this video, I subbed, liked, alarmed and as you can see commented because of this. I am just starting out and need all the help I can get on doing things easy until I get the hang of it.
Yes we all start somewhere, it took me a long time to figure out the easiest and money saving ways of creating journals and paper embellishments. Now I love to think outside the box and blaze my own path. My quest at the moment is to create my own wax’s for seals, I’m very close to the proper mixture, but oh the mess! Lol you can ask me anything you need to know and I’ll help you along the way. Thanks for the sub too! I’m new to this video stuff. 😃
@@1SweetShoppe Yes, this is a biggy for me, the cost. My husband had double kidney failure and we are still trying to dig out from the debt! His meds cost would make you want to faint. So I have little to no money left to splurge on anything that would bring in any kind of fun. So you being frugal is exactly what I need as well.
@geminidream4347 I’m am so sorry to hear of your husbands illness. I can imagine the costs, wishing him some better health in the future ahead. I have been in those shoes and know exactly how you’re feeling. I hope you can find some great deals in thrift stores and sally anns, I spent many days searching value villages for treats. Then I bought one punch and made flowers to sell to buy more punches. Many moons ago. This too shall pass and a door will open is always my thoughts. Think good and it will happen. Lots of hugs.
@@1SweetShoppe Thank you for your kind words and hope of a better tomorrow. I'm going to start looking through these shops you mentioned. It would be win-win my favorite way to go. lol Be safe and be Blessed, always.
With a glue gun or just as good or no?
I try not to use hot glue because of how fast it dries and how bulky it makes the paper sit. It dries so fast that it is very hard to get paper smooth without lumps. Once it is on you cannot correct mistakes. I use usually a glue that gives me a bit of drying time incase I make a mistake in how I set the paper on like I had done in the video and had to flip the page. I like the Fabri-tac or a fabric glue even though the cost is crazy in Canada for that glue. There are probably others that are good also but my selection where I live is limited.
What is the process for lace coffee die
I think I made a fb post about it once I’ll go see if I can go copy it. No luck it was a long time ago so I’ll try narrate it down to very short. Long table with a plastic covering, lay sheets of copy paper to cover the table, lay a plastic lace table cloth or lattice cut plastic cloth over sheets on the table. Mix instant coffee or brewed tea into a spray bottle and spray over the paper and table cloth, let it sit 6-8 hours and that’s about 18-20 sheets. Keep wrinkled or iron to flatten the table cloth pattern will be in the paper
They don't make fabrics like they used to, it's like weaving is a thing of the past. Also a lot of non fabric specific stores outsource to overseas and they do not need the thickness we do here. Same with sizing, you have to be very careful as overseas sees sizes differently than we do here.
Oh for sure that is true. Fabric has changed so much in quality in the past 30+ years, I was so surprised to find a couple prints at a dollar tree that had some thickness to it. I scooped it up. I love cottons for sure. I used to make quilts so cotton was a dream. We don’t have a craft or fabric store where I live so it’s a sweet find to find fabrics.
@@1SweetShoppe Oh how I love handmade quilts! Never could afford one though. I have quite a few fabric shops in the city where I live, but I am not a sewer, I only started collecting last year at Christmas as this was the first time I decided to try my hand at this journal making and the pattern was cats. LOL However, that was the first thing I noticed when I felt it. I'm like this isn't cotton, it's to sheer. Not sure now how well this would hold up as a cover?
@geminidream4347 I think if you stitched an extra layer into the backside you could strengthen it a bit. You could use even a cotton sheet or some heavy paper or packaging. I’ve used two way tape in the past to sandwich pieces of paper and fabrics then hand stitched them together.
@@1SweetShoppe we use sheets to back quilts until it’s quoted so it does provide an extra layer
My art professor always called your tool a brayer.
That’s the name of it! I used to use them flattening wall paper also. I was close with bray roller. Lol
