I hope you enjoy this VERY chatty and very simple completely NO SEW junk journal tutorial made using a composition book. I know we all love to an easy and accessible junk journal tutorial! This tutorial is perfect for beginners! The supplies are very basic and easy to find at the dollar tree, craft stores, or Walmart. Glad to know you use the friends of the library sales. I'm a volunteer for two friends groups in Los Angeles library system. I rescue so many of the vintage books with plans to create journals or find someone who would love them to create a journal with. As you know, at some point, the books might just get tossed. I'd rather see them used for journal making.
I just found your channel after looking for junk journal tutorials where they aren't all brown and a bit too grungy for my taste. Anyway I loved this video and your style, thank you so much and I started my own journal whilst I was watching along 💌

I have never seen any of your videos or come across your channel until today. Your tutorial is the only one I've ever watched all the way through and not been bored. Concise and to the point and so easy to follow. I like to do tip ins with my papers instead of taping but otherwise I'm excited to go get a composition notebook and try this. Thank you for this tutorial!

I also purchased the tiny attacher from Michael's for 3.99/4.99 or something like that they come in colors and they work marvelously and they do work well stapling material to paper.
I have watched this to the end. Love the tutorial. I will try a couple of the techniques to journals that I make thank you so much for sharing.
I prefer no sew and glue in all my books. The sewing looks nice, but I can live without it. Yours looks lovely.😊 and yes, I made it to the end; it was easy🍳

I love the fresh, clean, light-hearted look of your journals. They’re so fun. Another way to cover the front and back is with fabric, ironed on using Heat and Bond. The edges don’t ravel and the fabric takes on the feel of a cloth-bound book.

I just discovered you &I love your no sew journals. I really like the simplicity of them as well! Can’t wait to start making my own. I’ve made several journals that are sewn together but I haven’t made any in awhile because I’m dreading all the work that goes into it.
Yes, the Tim Holtz staplers are smaller & I love it! You can use a permanent marker to color the staples, so cool! I’ve subscribed to your channel & look forward to seeing more journals!
I love the idea of using composition books, i have so many and now don't nees to cut up a book that is that size!

New to you, great tutorial. I love my tiny attacher. The staples are super tiny and strong, I use it to attach everything, including fabric embellishments, I even use the tiny stables as embellishments too. 😊

Tiny attachment staples by Tim Holtz are definitely smaller than standard. I use both. Love this video.

Wipe your scissors with a baby wet wipe and the masking tape won’t leave a sticky adhesive to your scissors. ✂️ I don’t remember where I saw this but I have tried it and wow does it work!!

I love this no sew!! Thanks for all the tips. I used a composition notebook with pages glued together to keep the sympathy cards I got for each of my parents. It was very helpful. When will you add junk journal charms to your etsy shop? Love your style.

Very cute!
The tiny attacher staples are much smaller (and super expensive compared to regular staples.) I do love it for certain things when a smaller staple just looks better. I have a vintage Swingline stapler that is a workhorse!!! They still make them but not sure how good they are.

IT'S TOO CUTE! REBECCA HOOT GOT ME INTO JUNK JOURNALING, BUT I DO LOVE THE NO SEW...I DO THAT WITH MINE ALREADY. ABOUT THE STAPLE THING, I WOULD JUST COVER STAPLES WITH RIBBON, OR WASHI (DEFINITELY GLUE WASHI DOWN 😂)...BUT THE STAPLES ALSO COME IN DIFFERENT COLORS AS WELL, I LOVE ALL THE OPTIONS. I HAVE 3 DIFFERENT JUNK JOURNALS GOING RIGHT NOW...ALLOWS ME TO JOURNAL BY MY MOOD. SO GREAT JOB ON YOUR TUTORIAL AND I'M A NEW SUB NOW! ❤

I’ve added patterned paper by cutting a lined page down so there’s only one third left near the middle and then I glue a piece of patterned paper both sides of it and the lined part that’s left acts like a kind of tooth in the middle if you get what I mean and that works too. I will now try your way also.

Love how fast the no sew comes together, I try to have a stash of sewn ruffles but hate dragging my sewing machine out each time. I add washi to my edges too, I think it looks so pretty and adds something special. I also love ric rac I haven’t added it to any covers -that I can remember, but I will on my next c.notebook.
