This Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (CSX2287) was the prototype racing coupe version of the Shelby Cobra roadster and was the first vehicle added to the National Historic Vehicle Register. It is powered by a naturally aspirated Ford Motor Company 289 cubic inch displacement V-8 engine with four Weber 48 mm IDA carburetors. It is the most original of the six Daytona Coupes built and currently resides in the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia, PA where it is still driven and displayed.

This is the coolest video feature ever! I was all over the place checking out the car and the view
i know its not happening with a vehicle of this value but man i need to hear this car clutch kicked in one of the turns, just once do it for caroll
What a fantastic piece of Ford/Shelby history.. I was pleased to shake the hand of Pete Brock, the man that designed this car for Shelby.
Anyone else play this on their tv first and not get it, only to play it on your phone and realize how dope it is?😂
I watched the Shelby doc on Netflix recently. Carrol told his guy in Europe to either crush, or drop in the ocean, the Cobra Daytona's they just raced at Le Man's. He thought they weren't worth the money to ship back. The man couldn't do it, and shipped them back. If he would of just kept them, would of had 10-25 million dollars today. It never ceases to amaze me that no-one thought these racers would be worth any money
I don't understand this comment, you say he did ship them back, but then you say if he would have kept them, what happened to them?
@@bigredc222 he picked up the shipping ticket to give them back to Carrol opposed to keeping them
@@johnmontag I understand. The things people save thinking it will be worth a lot never are, it's always the things that get used up and thrown away that end up being valuable. I saw an auction for a 1970 Ford F-250 High-Boy with about 3000 miles on it, it sold for $93,000, crazy.
If I'm not mistaken this is from the Simeone foundation museum in Philadelphia and that is the late great Dr.simeone himself behind the wheel (may he rest in peace) awesome video thanks for sharing..
hey i'm first, looks fun, love the car
Very spacious in here
It is so amazing. Could you post it on VeeR?Their player is smoother.
A very hot 289!!! lol ;o) .
O,,,
These things drove like trucks! Imagine going 200 mph in one?
