      As the saying goes..."There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes." If you're dressed right you'll stay warm!! Hatcher Pass is one of my all time fave spots in AK!

    Fantastic video, what a beautiful area to visit. Thanks for sharing much appreciated. I have never snowshoes before but for some reason I thought it keeps you on top of the snow, how foolish is that of me. Great video, thanks again!

      Hey August! Yes for the most part snowshoes will keep you on top but there was a LOT of snow that day, If we'd had longer snowshoes that would have helped. Thanks for watching as usual!!

    Hatcher Pass, IMO, is the most beautiful place on the planet! We haven't been there since 1979 but someday, I'll get back to see it. My wife and I, along with our 3 year old son, drove from Palmer to Willow...in our Dodge Omni! It was gravel/dirt and we drove through creeks where there weren't any bridges.yep, young and stupid! My wife has promised to spread my ashes to the wind from the top of the pass.

      Hey Dan! This summer we want to drive up from the Willow side. I've only done that drive once and it's spectacular, as you can imagine! Thanks for sharing your experience with this gorgeous place!!

    Your videos are super! I learn so much about things I may never see, but maybe I'll come up in the summer with my Escape 21 trailer, and with other friends in their trailers too. :-) Your videos are 98% super. 1% is that I would love it if your panning of mountains and scenery would be slower ... and the other 1% is that I would really really really love it if you would slow down on the driving videos. Don't know about other folks, but I would love to feel what it's like to drive where you drive, and see what you see while you're driving, but your videos go past so fast that I can't see anything or experience the route. Whatever factor you speed up on the driving, could you reduce it please? That being said, I love your stuff. I've said that several times and will continue to say that. Hathcer Pass is definitely on my list. How excellent that people have maintained the buildings there. I have snow shoes like yours and love snowshoeing down here in WA in the Cascades. Bless you. Gorgeous video/blog ... thank you!

      Thank you Ann for the comment and feedback!!! We agree the panning of mountain scenery could be better. We had a couple of challenges with flying the drone that day. We had a small weather window and when Ronda was flying it over the mine she lost the signal to it! Yikes! It was a little bit of a panic to get it back in one piece LOL. We know a lot of people get bored with slow driving videos so maybe in the future we'll put a slower version at the end if people want to watch. Some people tend of turn the video off if the pace is too slow. We'll try and come up with a better plan for that!! Glad to hear you like 98%!!! It was definitely the coolest snowshoe I've done this year!! Thanks again Ann!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Can I drive up there with my winter tires? I truly want to express and visit

    • @AdventuresInNoMadness
      @AdventuresInNoMadness  3 роки тому

      Summer is the best time to come up and the best tires are mud and snow. They have an M + S on them. You don't need winter tires to drive up in the summer though. Hopefully the Canadian border will open up to travelers at some point soon!
