I like how despite his initial hesitance, you see that Nate is really happy about being able to talk about his past adventures with Cassie. One of the best endings to a video game series.
One of the most bittersweet endings to a game ever. So wholesome, yet at the same time it feels so sad knowing it is over. I know it has been 6 months since you finished this, but I still wholheartedly recommend you give the DLC (Lost Legacy) a playthrough as well. It really has the same good Uncharted vibe.
I've wanted to write a little wrap-up comment for a while now but I hadn't quite found the order of thoughts I've wanted. I still haven't, but, at the same time, I think that's okay; we all know I'm a mish-mosh of commentary, so why stop now? I trust you know how much this franchise means to me, especially this fourth game. It turned into my life's blood during a time in which I didn't play any sort of game. I had no opinion on gaming arcs or story-driven plots within games. I went from having a PS2 with only Kingdom Hearts on it to suddenly getting a PS4 with this silly little treasure-hunting game in a bundle. I took a chance on it, and I fell in love. To this day, I can say with certainty that it's my favorite piece of media -- ever. With that said, I want to thank you for -- again -- letting me fall in love with this franchise another time. There's no greater feeling than getting to witness one of your favorite people in the world get to know and adore a major piece of your life, with risk that they may or may not enjoy it as much. Throughout your entire playthrough of all four games, I felt like I was watching with brand-new eyes, and it gave me that childish happiness that I so-desperately cling onto. Likewise, seeing your face light up at some of the best feel-good moments (many of Nate and Elena's interactions) and the story progression... it just hits home. This playthrough was so endearing and quickly found such a special place in my heart. I've watched it a handful of times already, and it's become my comfort-watch. Instantly. Again, thank you. I know I pestered you endlessly for this franchise -- we all did, but I felt like I was near the forefront of the mob -- and I don't regret a damn thing. You've brought a newfound life to the world of Uncharted, years later, and I hope you've enjoyed your time in Nate's universe. I know we enjoyed your time there. See you soon for Lost Legacy, my friend. (P.S. I will still comment several more times on this series.)
Ok, now that you're at this portion, I have to say this is my favorite part of the island chapter. It's just Nate on his own, no more enemies left, he's made amends with Elena, all he cares about is saving Sam. Nadine does the smartest thing any antagonist in the series has ever done, grabbed whatever treasure and dipped, leaving Rafe to his fate. And to cap it all off we get one of the most satisfying epilogues for a video game protagonist I've ever seen (next to the best ending when you complete all the bonus tombs in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara gets a good little epilogue too)
Nadine will always be one of my favorite characters for just dipping at the end - I remember when I played this the first time, I saluted her. She earned the right to survive being an Uncharted villain because she wasn't an idiot
Thanks for the great videos. You caught the name of their dog for Victor Sullivan, I didn't hear you mention their daughter Cassie, short for Cassandra, Nate's mothers name. Looking forward to you playing the Tomb Raider games, you will love "Rise of the TR".
I played Uncharted 4 before the 3 originals. I had played Lost Legacy prior to playing Uncharted 4, so I knew it would be great. I loved the games. Now that I played through the series again, in chronological order and know what happened and what they’ve been through, it makes the finale so much better. Hearing Nathan’s theme in the plane was awesome.
Hope y’all enjoyed this journey ,this awesome ride Cynthetic has been on. It was great to see to see you discover why so many people loved this game. You did the game justice in fact the whole series by playing it from start to finish. It was always about the journey, the character development the collapsing buildings/bridges and Nathan’s body count. I hope new people discovered this game and got to enjoy and experience as much as you clearly did from watching your game play and hopefully there are some new fans of the franchise. Once again thank you Cynthetic you quite clearly get it!
Hey cool little trivia: Nathan and Elena daughter Cassie Drake was played Kaitlyn Dever which is even more awesome because Kaitlyn Dever is now gonna play Abby in HBO's The Last Of Us Season 2 🤘🔥
The characterization for Uncharted is amazing, everyone feels so real. More than once I've wondered how the Drake family is doing, as if they're real and my dear friends.
It’s the end of the best uncharted as far as I’m concerned… obviously a game about pirates ends in a sword fight 🤺 I love the ending with Cassie & how it shows she’s just a curious & intelligent as both her parents. Possibly setting up a spin off someday. Perfect ending.
I recently replayed the series last month and now watched your videos. I have played the franchise over and over through the years and every time I get to the end of Uncharted 4 I cry. I cried watching yours. It's my second all-time favorite game franchise behind Kingdom Hearts. I believe Uncharted has the best ending of any game. I do wish they continue the story with Cassie. Nate's and Elena had a happy ending so no need for them to continue. I have written my own fan fiction of Uncharted 5 with Cassie. I just love the franchise so much.
They really did a great job with the characterization. Just like Sam he has to earn his place because at the beginning he can feel a bit out of place in a 4 game series. But he does, that final confrontation is so satisfying.
I get the feel Uncharted 4 flies under the radar when it comes to the best games by Naughty Dog conversation. It's obviously well received but I always see people focusing on Uncharted 2 and TLOU and kinda forgetting this one exists. For me, 2 was great because of timing because it really shocked the gaming world when it came out but at face value 4 is much better in pretty much every regard. It starts off feeling kinda unnecessary because 3 had closure at the end, and now with 4 you bring it back and with a "now Nathan has a brother" moment to boot. But they pulled it off, it's the perfect ending to the series.
Woohoo!! . That was still just amazing as ever. I grew up playing this franchise. I actually played part 2 first and played 3 on release then 1. I picked up the PS5 version of this, but I did played this in 2017. I really enjoyed what you had to say afterwards. An eic ending to my favorite games ever. I hope you have a wonderful relaxing weekend "Cynthetic💐
Great job Miss Cynthetic We only dropped in to watch you play this game for our own bias personal reasons but it was worth every hot second of every nuclear moment! We treated it like movie night grabbing snacks and the odd tissue to wipe away our tears of joy while reliving all t’hose long painful moments of getting it right. Me and my team loved it. You did great. Expect something a little different from ND next. I’m sure you’re gonna love it. In the mean time keep entertaining your fans … Who’s knows, if I ever can get time outta the studio and away from the constant slog of making scenery pop I’m sure I’ll personally drop in again. Peace ✌️
Incredible writing AND acting in this series. There's a youtube video (I think its the making of uncharted 4, a must watch) with the actors making the last one, seeing the Sully actor get all choked up about saying goodbye to this character just adds to this sentiment.
bit of info about Shoreline that leads into the next Uncharted game (Lost Legacy). There is one other named person from Shoreline besides Nadine Ross, his name is Orca and he was Nadine's second in command in Uncharted 4. the only time you notably see him on screen was when Rafe revealed the truth to Nate about how Sam got out of jail. Orca was the guy with the mullet hair and shades. Orca was more after the money than Nadine was...but Nadine saw the sense in escaping Avery's island alive. When you play Uncharted Lost Legacy...you'll see more of Orca...
I actually think you beat Elena's high score, not just your last one, unless you beat her high score the first time, in the beginning of the game, can't remember. I'm a little sad that so many seem to miss the interaction with the dog by the boat, you were so close. There Cassie, who is named after Nate's mom, Cassandra, lets us know that the dog's name is Vicky, of course named after Sully. A perfect ending to a very good franchise. The franchise isn't over, however, now onto Lost Legacy. No Nate, but it's still a pretty amazing game, and it's every bit as beautiful as Uncharted 4. I don't think there ever will be an Uncharted starring Cassie, I mean, Nate and Elena have finally left the dangerous life they led before they got her, and they don't want to continue living like that, so why would they allow their daughter to do it? Then again, she could rebel against her parents, and do it anyway. Still, I don't think she will. Oh, and speaking of Tomb Raider, you should totally play TR Legend, TR Underworld, and TR Anniversary, if you haven't already. Those were the last games where Lara Croft was still Lara Croft.
@@gregoryrobinsongaming6712 We were talking about this video, between this part and the previous one there is a skipped scene, when Nathan and his wife enter the secret cave and the door closes behind and in this video it starts much later than that, leaving out a large part. I actually think i enjoyed lost legacy even more than uncharted 4 - and i loved uncharted 4. It's a shorter game, but I always felt the Uncharted games were a little too long.
I like how despite his initial hesitance, you see that Nate is really happy about being able to talk about his past adventures with Cassie. One of the best endings to a video game series.
Yeah Uncharted is my favorite game series
One of my favorite endings in a game, so perfect...
Uncharted 4 is such a sad happy ending, it feels right to end that way but at the same time you don't want it to end
I definitely wanted it to end with Nathan dying lol.
I prefer good storytelling over warm and fuzzies
@@colinnixon7739 so good storytelling for you = nate dying
This epilogue always give me the chills - it is so satisfying.
Nate and Elena are not only the best video game couple, but the most realistic as well. A good portrayal of a good couple.
One of the best endings of a videogame... EVER.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy next!
It's amazing.
One of the most bittersweet endings to a game ever. So wholesome, yet at the same time it feels so sad knowing it is over.

Great watching you play this series from 1-4 and I hope you give Lost Legacy a chance as IMHO it's a solid entry in the franchise.
9:18 the guy behind Nadine is Orca, he is Shoreline's second in command.
My go to character when I played some multiplayer
The best action adventure games with great characters and story, we'll never get a series like this again.

The comic you picked up is one by Faith Erin Hicks, and it looks like Avatar because she has made some Avatar comics, as well as The Last of Us.
