More in detail: Thomas Tennhardt, Director of NABU for International Affairs. Above all, Ukraine is characterized by steppe ecosystems, of which the country has the most in all of Europe. Of these, over 60% have currently suffered severe damage.
In addition, it is about the wetlands on the Azov Sea and the Black Sea coast. These are among the most important in the world, 14 of which have already been destroyed. There was one of the rare colonies of Dalmatian pelicans there. Colonies of sandwich terns with up to 60,000 breeding pairs or 3,000 breeding pairs of fish gulls could also be found there. "We have to assume that they were completely destroyed," Tennhardt fears.

For one thing, he is a socialist, like Einstein, Orwell, Gandhi, and the Dalai Lama. Politicians *hate* those guys in the USA.. At least, right wingers do, and alot of centrists too. (The exception being Orwell. But right wingers claim he wasn't a socialist at all- complete denial. Excerpting Orwell's _Why I Write_ :
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism... And the more one is conscious of one’s political bias, the more chance one has of acting politically without sacrificing one’s aesthetic and intellectual integrity... When I sit down to write a book, I do not say to myself, ‘I am going to produce a work of art’. I write it because there is some lie that I want to expose, some fact to which I want to draw attention, and my initial concern is to get a hearing."

      @@noahedelson3618 Let's offer a course on Western/liberal marriage:
Lesson #1: Don't ever argue with your wife because that is emotional abuse and she will call the police and accuse you of hurting her. Police don't need any evidence to arrest you, so enjoy your stay in prison. Lesson #2: Don't you ever dare to deny your wife having sex with others. You don't own her. If you're a real man, you'll actually help her find a boyfriend or two and let them use your bed while you sleep on the couch. Lesson #3: Be fair to each other, but remember, she can accuse you of abuse at any time and destroy your life Lesson #5: If your spouse wants to change "their" gender, don't argue. Just be happy for "them," you transphobe. Lesson #6: Want a divorce? Don't want a divorce? Doesn't matter. She can leave you for any reason or no reason at all. She gets to take at least half your wealth, custody of your children, and you pay all her legal fees. She might even end up living with her boyfriends in the house you bought, with your kids.

It took me 40 years to hear Chomsky. It's not a happy experience given the message is one that punctures all the smug propaganda we usually hear, but it was a vitally important one in helping me actually understand the world.

In the face of the war in Ukraine, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein and Janis Warufakis have decided to repeat the theses that are at the heart of Russian propaganda. According to them, NATO is responsible for the conflict, Ukrainians cannot decide for themselves, and a buffer state must be created from their homeland. In this way, part of the Western left went morally and factually bankrupt, to the applause of an equally ignorant public, vide the comments under the video. I was a Chomsky fan for years, until he expressed admiration for the Cambodian Red Khmers. Now he has confirmed that he is as ignorant on Eastern issues as the former Western colonisers were of the "uncivilised" nations from which they felt superior.
