I learned some basic get away moves a few punches(Forwared, cross, hook, and upward) and I am not sure if these were forms but it had around 3 moves to it. One was called delayed sword and the other I am not sure i wanna say defelction sword but I know that isn't right. I was only able to do it till Yellow belt orange tab though before i had to quit for many reasons. I didn't want to though cause I loved going. I also really enjoyed going. I also enjoy this channels as i much love for art as many of them imo are beautiful as well as strong. Please keep up the great content.
Yeah, they (Kenpo's "delayed sword", etc.) can be called "forms", though they're meant to be practiced between 2 people. They are, however, different in purpose from the Chinese "fist sets" as forms like Taming the Tiger and Bong Bo, which are used to internalize the signature techniques of a style into the practitioner's nervous system so that his body becomes a living record of the style's syllabus. This was necessary because most people in that area of China a couple of hundred years ago were illiterate and they needed a way to pass on the knowledge.

Taiji Quan? Ba Gua? XingYi? how did you exclude these iconic and highly revered styles?
Being disabled I probably would not be able to any of those very well now. However a few years ago I was able to learn a little bit of Kenpo.
@@varanid9 that make sense who to better pass it one than someone who made it their life's work and expanded on it. They guys recreatred iconic scenes form movies great and when they are explain things they sound like they know what they are talking about. I mean they fact they got meet two of their idols and work on commercial with one(Jackie Chan) that's amazing. Totally deserve all the love they get and thanks for teaching me something new dude always open to information.
