      Drop stance is lying tiger stance in other translations, i am still learning but my partner bought me a book of character translations, each one is made up of pictures, each of them a story or theme. I. E Qi is of the emptiness, rice, and steam... Probably to signal qi coming from nothing, feeding us and returning to nothing. Its a very fortunate coincidence that heat transfer is the basis of entropy, and the only reason why we have one (only one) equation out of all the basic equations for astrophysics that registers time. (3rd law of entropy)...
      These characters are incredibly lost in translation because they end up so detailed, the understanding of them ends up relative to that person in a bigger way than labels.

    I came here to check if our feet should be parallel in horse stance. I see happily that you don't make it parallel. I think that's the best for knees: feet should always align with the knee. Making them parallel would create bad strain on the knees. Sadly many people think feet must be parallel...

    As a Former Karate instructor, the Bow and arrow stance in Japanesew karate is shoulder wide. To my experience, as a European , less flexibly built person, the shoulder width is a minimum to achieve both our body turn and keep straight left or right, without tension and imperfection in hips. Best regards. Paul, 67,

    • @kempreisky125
      @kempreisky125 7 місяців тому

      I believe it’s a lot of leg and psoas strengthening, as well as “greasing the groove” through many repetitions to improve strength in a wide range of motions ie. mobility training. The second stance is great for the psoas, an inner core muscle group, which are essential for proper posture and efficient walking, although make sure if you’re training them that you stretch them as well. It’s also good for martial arts, soldiers trained in this way walk efficiently and can express strength in a wide range of motion with a low risk of injury.

      Do your research and ask a Dr. if you need to. But to my knowledge, this type of exercises should be great for helping with rheumatoid arthritis. Generally speaking, stretching is important to help with the issue. These stances use muscles but also stretch the body. Be careful with the osteoarthritis but from what I read, they recommend Yoga which has similar poses. Remember to listen to your body first, and advice/opinions seconds. You'll know better than anyone if things like this help or hurt. Good luck.
