Just the greatest, loved to watch him and followed him all around the world. Should have won more without doubt, but when you stood at the side of the road, the speed he would carry compared to the other drivers, you could see how much faster he was.... but with that same speed inevitably came the crashes. One thing for sure, he only ever had one speed, flat out! RIP

Indeed, and one of the best years Championships was when it was McRae and Burns battling it out right up to the Network Q rally at the end of the season, good times 😎

And in the current era, Kris Meeke just got dumped for crashing too much, maybe we could do with a few more David Richard types behind the scenes too

Colin could win rallys too though. David knew that. Meeke is good but not good enough.

I disagree, Chris has won 2 Rally's, it's just so close these days, they are on and sometimes over the limit, so crashes are inevitable. Not only that, but Chris is Colin's protégé, he saw talent in him, do you question a master when he notices another coming up? 😉

Colin was a master in his early 20s. I personally don't think meeke has that ability. Meeke is an unbelievable driver but like everyone I will always have favourites. I still think armin schwartz was one of the best!!
