  • Details make the difference when working on your project car. POWERNATION's Jeremy and Jimmy show you how they took their 1978 Datsun from a baby blue past to a stunning, modern look with a bold color choice and meticulous body modifications. The journey involved extensive bodywork, removing crash bumpers, filling holes, and adding flares for an aggressive stance, transforming the 280Z to mirror the sleek appearance of a 240Z. #jdm #cars #projectcars

I worked at O'Reilly 9 long years busted my ass for that hell hole. Don't get me wrong I made friends with mechanics and employees. And learned a lot but I agree management really sucks. Sorry of subject.... Great build guys I love the color. Don't listen to this people. I bet if you told them that they can have it they would take it in a heart beat. I know I would!

Great job and presentation! Could you please answer a couple brief questions: did you do base coat and clear on the underside of the hood and deck lid? Did you paint the interior areas that get covered by trim panels and nobody will ever see and did you use base coat and clear for them too? Or did you use a single stage equivalent for those areas? Thank you very much!

I had a 240Z, most of it was made out of fiberglass. Fenders, quarter panels, headlight buckets, rocker panels. Painted it refrigerator White.

🤔 I'm not really feeling the gray paint but the rest of the car looks great... I suppose some black racing 🏁 stripes on the hood & roof could offset it quite a bit....I'm kinda curious how many people love the gray.

I like the grey but I would much prefer it not be that particular grey. I’d like either a metallic grey or just something different.

Gray, blue gray, and to a lesser extent greenish gray are very popular colors right now, and I can't quite figure out why.

If y'all ever decide you want to sell the 280Z, I'd be interested in it as my first enthusiast car.

I love the color but doing bodywork in the paint booth is a big no no. You'll never get it clean enough for a real slick paint job.
