Been loving your videos man. Really take your time explaining everything. Not just a quick been there. Really great for noobs as a lot of these processes are scary to first timers I’ve been detailing for a long time but I love watching the slow pace and detail you go into for beginners.
GREAT VIDEO!!!! Love the absolute detail! That is what makes your channel ideal!! Also, you had mentioned previously Gyeon Infinite Base type 1. What are the ACTUAL real life differences between Gyeon Infinite Base type 1 & the Mohs Evo other than the chemistry?
You did a great job on the video dude. Much appreciated. There was no mention of using an Iron remover as part of the pre process? Would that not typically be advisable?
What if wheel is brand new, doesn't even have a tire on it. Do I skip the cleaning and prep stages and just go straight to ceramic coating? Will ceramic coating make it difficult to install the wheel weights (will they fall off more easily)? Any issues with ceramic coating without a tire on it. Will the ceramic coating have an effect on how or if the tire is able to be installed on the wheel?
I appreciate all of your videos. It’s great to learn from a pro. Please consider doing a video on restoration of headlight lenses. Or, is that beyond what is called “detailing”?
While doing the inside you said "That's metal; I'm not going to put coating on it." Questions: Does ceramic coating harm the metal, or not stick, or ??? Is that why you didn't bother with the actual rims next to the tires? Is there any kind of ceramic that's good on anodized wheels etc?
Finely!!! Someone who actually did a step by step video on how to prep your wheels for coating, telling us all the chemicals, dilutions and linking all of them for us... Thank You, a lot of these professional detailers don't do that they do a video and there like okay tire and wheel washed and straight into coating,, they don't understand that most people watching their videos are beginners and DIY audience THank You so much for doing videos for your audience .....
Yoo, how would you like to check out the build quality of my Cybertruck when i pick it up in a few months? Top 5k reservation on a tri motor w/ FSD , will probably use the factory pickup option and fly/drive in from Denver :) Good tips on the wheels by the way.. I need to do this to my M3.. and CT :P
I have a Rivian with 22' Sport Black tires. How does ceramic coating look on them? Glossy? Shiny? Richer? Also how much would you charge to do this process on my config?
I was told today by the Detailer ceramic coating my 2023 Range Rover he does not ceramic coat the barrel due to wheel weights not always sticking to the inside after the wheel has been ceramic coated. He says they can come off. Is this a legitimate concern? Or should I push the barrels to be done?
Not sure what he’s talking about. That’s only cause if it’s new rims that haven’t got tires applied yet. Then you’d need to come back and take off as there is no way to do barrels without weights in already.
Oh, and you're saying that a wheel specific ceramic is not necessarily recommended? Isn't that the whole point of the wheels specific formulations? To deal with the heat, making them able to last longer etc? I guess what you're get at is that it's a trade off against how easy it is to apply, even if it might not last as long etc...I see this video is a year old, I suppose Gyeon might have a wheel specific one now similar to what you used here in this video in terms of application...maybe...
This channel should have at least 400K subs! This is a very underrated channel! 🎉

You've given me the confidence and inspiration to tackle this. Many thanks.

Excellent video, I need to coat my wife’s car, the silver rims get absolutely black in between washes

Any reason, why not to use Q2 RIM? .. thanks for a great video.

Awesome. Love your ocd commitment to the cause.
Great video, really appreciate you sharing your knowledge, I have one question, can you coat up a polished alloy rim edge? Thank you 😊

Does Mohs Evo actually last on wheels? It's not a really high solids type like Rim or Dlux etc.
The GOAT 🐐

I'm surprised R1T only uses a 5-lug /hubwheel!
For a second application on paint and wheels how long do you wait?
Around one hour.
Why don't you remove the tire before you do anything else and also how long will it wast and what are the drawbacks??
Removing the tire accomplishes nothing. And second with even new rims you can’t coat a wheel before tire as the weights.

In my experience paint coatings last far longer than wheel coatings on wheels.. go figure!
@@OutofSpecDetailing Is that right…Weird…
That thing hardly sees a dirt road mall cruiser I think
