  • $700-$1000 per month for one person. Let's find out why this is so. I'm talking about foreigners coming from Western countries and from China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, etc. For local Nepali people the cost of living is lower or higher depending on your monthly income. There are ultra basic rooms that go for $6000 Nepali Rupees ($50 🇺🇸 approx.) per month with a shared bathroom that's an outhouse like back in the day for Westerners.

    The birds in the trees were very cool. I'm glad you were able to get a better room. Hopefully, it stays cool, and the internet is consistent. ❤

      It surely is. Fore it's better when the temperature is between 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit max daytime. Nighttime lows I like 48-55 degrees. Good for thick blankets and snuggling 😎.

      Most of it comes via India. Pokara is nearly parallel to the most polluted state in the world. Today, they have pollution warnings for those who are sensitive.

    Hi how are you. I would like to come to Nepal to complete an international volunteer project in sustainable agriculture. How much should I budget for transportation taxis and food for three weeks

    • @TheEddieToro
      @TheEddieToro  2 місяці тому

      Taking buses is pretty cheap in general but when using taxis it's best to get the app for that. I think it's called Pathao and inDriver. You won't get as easily scammed. A bus ride on the sofa luxury bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara is $14 or $15 bucks. If you eat at restaurants and cafes for tourists, a meal goes for $4-$10 and something fancier around $15.If you eat where the locals eat, a simple meal (Dal-Bhat) will goe for $1-$3. If you can cook for yourself, way cheaper.

      @@TheEddieToroI'm planning to travel to Nepal with my bf. Is it safe to travel in February? And please, can you tell me a very cheap apartment in Kathmandu which costs less than $200 a month?

    • @TheEddieToro

      @Bettymoonga-h8n Hi there. Nepal 🇳🇵 is very safe to travel in except if you're using a motorbike to travel around the country. If you're gonna do Everest Basecamp trek or one if the treks in Annapurna, get very warm jackets, gloves, waterproof hiking 🥾 boots, warm head and ear coverings because it's winter ❄️☃️ in the Himalayas. Most of those clothing items you can get in Kathmandu at some shop either new or used and cheaper usually than in Europe or North America. They're usually 1st copy and not original. Regarding an apartment in Kathmandu for less than $200 a month I really don't know. If you find one, it won't be near the tourist attractions. Use Airbnb to see if you can get one. However, Airbnb is not a guarantee as the pictures sometimes don't reflect the reality of the apartment.

      @@fabibanifatemi It wasn't Hitler's logo. He took it from Hinduism and modified it. The one you saw is the original one representing peace and prosperity.
