Leinster supporter - it was unfortunate that ulster Leinster and Munster were all on 1 side of the draw. Ulster played very well and were unlucky to meet Leinster in last 16. Such a pity it was a horrendous day . A day to win ugly and get home . Hopefully , match next week will be dry day .
I think that Ulster performance would have won against any other European opposition today. Just shows you how good Leinster are

Very set piece dependant - They're similar to the national team in that, without Sexton they don't really play a lot of Rugby. Still very good obviously.
Hume yellow was harsh. Leinster was the better team but referee didn’t help the situation maybe the angles were bad but how was that not a knock on for JGP try?
Ulsters first up tackling was pretty fierce and their second try was top drawer as was their fans in the stadium, but the was an air of inevitability about that one as Leinster moved clear without ever looking like they were in top gear. Awful weather suppressed the quality but as a Leinster fan I can say J Stockdale did his reputation no harm in front of Andy Farrell but that boot on Jame Lowe is a thing to behold.
Andy Farrell must be happy with what he saw. Both teams playing well in difficult conditions...
Credit to both teams for slugging it out in woeful conditions.

Crazy the strength in depth in Leinster. They just beat Ulster 2nd best team in the competition without Sexton, Ringrose, Doris & Kelleher
Mentioning four players isn't that impressive especially when Leinster basically have a monopoly on all young Irish talent as well as most of the National team. Very well run club, the depth of players and coaching staff are mad.
Ulster 2nd best in the competition? They were lucky to even make the knock out stage. Needed help from Stormers to get that last spot.

2:37 I don't know how Luke Pierce could have ruled that Hume was the tackler - or the "assist" tackler. The Leinster no. 8 already had a knee on the ground by the time Hume even touched him - therefore he wasn't involved in the tackle, was not obligated to "release", and his jackal was legitimate. What's more, the Leinster no. 4 dived off his feet in an attempt to clear Hume out. That yellow card was a harsh call.
I've only seen these highlights, so didn't observe the balance of play; therefore I'm not saying that Ulster were robbed. What this does show however, is that referees often give the benefit of the doubt in these myriad small margins to teams that have already attained a level of dominance. Then these small benefits stack up, and the ""dynasty" actually stays around longer than it merits.
The yellow was for repeat infringements, the yellow should have come much earlier.

@@RazorMouth Fair enough. I can't comment on what's NOT in this highlights package. But the incident in the package is pretty clear for all to see. If Ulster had repeat infringements, Luke Pierce should have picked a bona fide one to show his yellow - not a dubious one.

Of the 6 penalties that pierce gave against ulster in the first half, 4 were highly debatable and confidently were ignored when leister did the same. 2/3 penalties were for entering the side of a maul and as you can see fir ulster's last try, sheehan comes straight in at the side and no advantage was given

The ref had a shocker. Missed a lot of clear pens and although the 1st yellow was an accumulation of pens the 2nd yellow for a clash of heads despite both arms wrapped around the player.
Leinster were better side but ref team needs replacing
If they clash head's he is too high irrespective of wrapping. Chest or lower
But the act of wrapping arms around player in a tackle you will always run that risk

Some of Ulster's players are awful in defence, missed tackle from the 6, Stockdale also utterly useless in defence
Stuff like that then puts pressure on inside guys like Hume who can actually tackle, and has to make up for them in defense

Ulster had conceded a number of penalties on their line in the first half and Peason had warned them the next would be a yellow. In fact I had though Leinster had made a tactical blunder by taking the 3 point under the post just after that warning with 3 minutes to go in the first half. Another play might have drawn the yellow earlier.
Agreed. Understand that there was an accumulation of penalties leading up to the card but yeah, that one seemed marginal.
i think its because hume lost his balance after the clear out and didn't release that the ref adjudged he was off his feet and holding on it was a negative picture that he was slowing the ball that he painted,

Really bad call in the yellow card that kind of sealed the game for Leinster at that stage I believe (from A Leinster fan). Although I believe Leinster would still have won, Ulster lost what chance they had with that call as they lost a man for ten and conceded a try when it probably should have been a penalty kick to touch and attacking line out at around half way for Ulster.
The 'cheering track' is obviously recorded from a soccer game.

Wait what, did you guys forget the hiding you received last year and didn't even won the Heineken competition nor the URC. Did you guys forget that the Stormers won the URC last year. Did you guys forget that the Stormers spoiled your perfect record this year playing to a draw in Leinsters own back yard. Don't think Leinster will win any of these competitions this year. Leinster are clearly the most dominant team this season, I don’t know if I’d called it arrogance when Leinster haven’t been beaten this year in all competitions, gotten through all their European games comfortably enough. That stormers game saw an almost full strength stormers side against a Leinster team full of seconds players and academy players, I wouldn’t be too proud of that result as a stormers fan.
Stormers springbok filled side scored less tries than the Leinster youth team. Saffas arrogance, boasting about winning a comp vs teams who had to balance leagues at the same time.
@@BenCullitonWell we probably just have to wait and see right. Stormers are still the URC champs and they know how to win games when it really counts. Can't say the same for Leinster 😂. Don't get it wrong, we all know Leinster is a good team but they haven't won anything yet. That is unfortunately what matters. I am certainly not saying the Stormers will win but they are still in it. So do not count your chickens yet. I don't even think Leinster will win any cup this year either. They don't know how to rotate their players properly. And just for your info, Stormers are playing in 3 (as WP) competitions currently and every player should slot in where he is needed. It was as a very depleted Leinster team that Stormers drew against.....the rest were rested after the 6 Nation's.

Leinster are hard enough to beat without these useless goats with whistles looking for any reason to penalise them. That Hume yellow card wasn't even a penalty and should have went the other way for the leister 4 going straight off his feet and in at the side.

If you watched the game you’d know that Hume was sin binned for an accumulation of penalties conceded by Ulster. It was even referenced in the commentary of this video
