Stealth Squadron's Center Front Formation-- Ten F-22 Raptors! Few miles behind-- Five F-117's! Flying a few miles behind-- Four B-2 Spirits! Few miles behind in the back One B-21 Raider!
Right Flank-- Ten ST-21's! Few miles behind-- Five F-16V Block 72's with Optical Camo and Ten F-15STOL/MTD's(I kno Fox2's;)! At a higher altitude few miles behind-- Four YF-12A's! Flying underneath-- Two B-1R's and Five F-15EX's! Few miles behind-- New Hypersonic "UFO'"! Plus The Millennium Falcon with Two Y-Wing's and Two X-Wing's!
Left Flank-- Ten YF-23's! Few miles behind-- Ten F-35's! Few miles behind-- Five F-117's! In the back-- Four B-2 Spirits! Please obviously include a couple AWACS
Star Destroyer Fleet-- LOTS of Tie-Fighters, Good amount of Tie-Interceptors, Eight Tie-Hunters, and Four Corvette Raiders!! Corvettes start airborne!!

An Imperial I or II class star destroyer is 1.6 KM long, which is about .864 NM in lengeth. The II has 60 Turbolaser batteries and heavy Ion Cannon on the ship, 8 Octuple turbolaser batteries, think 8 gun turrets, 4 batteries on each side of the ship, 6 dual missile launchers and 10 tractor beam projectors. It can carry 72 fighters, normally 48 TIE fighters, 12 bombers and interceptors, 8 shuttles, 2 smaller cruisers (think smaller than Leia's ship at the start of episode IV, 20 AT-AT's, 30 AT-ST's, and 9700 stormtroopers. It is crewed by 9235 officers and 27580 enlisted crew.
And yes, I am a geek and I am dang proud of it.
Those smaller "cruisers" are called Skipray Blastboats. They are basically heavy gunships.

I suggested this inside a thread so it might be missed: Cap and anyone else planning missions, remember the joint US/British vs Chinese/Russian missions you ran a few weeks back? How about one of these groups, or if possible all 4 fleets, Humanity combined to save the Earth from the invading Star Destroyer? With enough air-to-air missiles and ship-launched cruise missiles, hell even glide bombs they just MIGHT be able to take it down! It will be server-intense but probably not as bad as simulating several hundred warbirds attacking, it should need only 100-150 aircraft and all those sea-based assets. The server should be able to do it without melting down, and it would be AWESOME to see!

Real zeros would marshal then attack as a swarm to overwhelm the AAA. Your zeros attacked individually, which made it easier to shoot them down.
Asian NPCs are required by law to attack one at a time.
Its some kind of Heisenberg Uncertainty side rule.
Real SD would attack from orbit :D

Awesome video as always guys! Can you guys try the potential future Peregrine missile in development by Raytheon? It'll be interesting to see how an F-35 carrying 8-12 AMRAAM-ranged weapons in stealth configuration could affect a carrier battle. Thanks for the awesome content and keep it up!
Ooo Peregrine! (Named after the fastest Hawk in the world), they would need to have their guy build the models for it, but I would love to see it! The Peregrine seems much more promising than the AFRL's "Mutant" missile.

Ion cannons would probably fry the radios on the Zeroes, maybe make all the spark plugs fire simultaneously and damage the engine somehow. Other than that, they might not have any effect on them at all. If they were fired at the ships, it's possible they might cause electrical arcs in the ammo storage or powder storage or fuel bays, which could start fires. It's just barely possible they might cook off the primers in the ammo, but it's doubtful. But, yeah, turbolasers would incinerate any airplane they touched, and targeting computers and gunners that can even approach tracking X-wings are going to hit Zeroes almost as easily as a stationary target.
I would think they could also chew up the ships pretty handily, since the larger ones are used to bombard fortifications on planets while the Star Destroyer is in orbit.
Entertaining fight. I've done years of playing Star Wars themed combat flight sims and have blown up dozens of ISDs, so I've got some feedback. Your Star Destroyer needs maybe five to ten times MORE turbolaser batteries. This is based on officially licensed games, and they will in fact shoot you when you're below them. Not sure where the German guy got his info from because he's definitely wrong about that "can't shoot down" bit. If it was designed like in the games, the blind spots should be from behind the engines, and diving from high above the bridge superstructure. Of course, you'd also need to be flying at least mach 2 or 3 at close range to its hull if you want to do passes on it without getting chewed to hell. I don't think Earth aircraft are maneuverable enough to be able to do proper attack runs.

I want to see more hypothetical real-world flashpoints such as Ukraine/Russia scenarios, Taiwan/China scenarios, US/China scenarios (South China Sea), Russia+China/US scenarios, as well as some fringe engagements such as North Korea/US scenarios, Iran/US scenarios, Axis/Allies (Modernized) scenarios, etc., in order to visualize the outcomes
Best thing to do was to organise a group attack. Then hopefully one will get thru rather than going at it solo

ISD in atmosphere means you are already close to being conquered. Remember, Star Wars happened a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. They must have come to the future. Both sides are Empires. Until one loses. No rebels in this one 😉
On missions like this it'd be nice if the damage was fully modeled. Then you could create dead-zones in the SDs AAA coverage by taking out weapon clusters.
Maybe try an updated modern CVBG against this? Still a server killer though.

Should have made this a IJN attack on Pearl that turns into the aliens make the USN and IJN team up to fight them off. Could be a IJN starts fighting the aliens and the USN sees what's going on and decides to support the IJN in the middle of the battle. Might kill the server but it would be epic.

May I suggest? Next time have some big battleships e.g.: Yamato/Musashi in the fleet and some heavy cruisers too? They had a substantial fleet, just as I said, a Suggestion.
I don't think WW2 ships or aircraft of any size have a chance against a Star Destroyer. If they re-do this with a modern combined strike group like the joint Russian/Chinese or American/Brit (or ideally all 4!) forces with LOTS of air-to-air and cruise missiles, that just might be able to do the job.
Reminds me of the series "Summoning America" a fan fic of "Summoning Japan", where a yamato class battleship fought a spaceship that got too close.
Loved the video @Grim Reapers! Can't wait for the next video man! Timeframe 20:40 to 21:00 was that "TinyCap" we heard in the Background? Timeframe 40:38 that Large Bulb behind the Fighter bay is the Solar Ionization Reactor which is the Main Power source for the Imperial Star Destroyer.
Also, the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service had 5 Bf-109E-7's and a Single Fw-109A-5 for Evaluation purposes. Maybe this along with the Plan of a "Typhoon Legion" would make a Great Idea for the Next video or next Couple of videos (if you want to try and make a Campaign out of it).

What I kinda want to see is early cold war jets (like, 262 to maybe g91, if that makes sense) against a star destroyer. I don't necessarily want those planes *specifically* but subsonic jets with rockets and bombs might pose a better shot at taking it down.
Honestly, lets just figure out what era of humanity can defend against a star destroyer, working our way through the modern age. That's my proposal.
Japan did receive 1 FW-190A5 for Evaluation Purposes. Star Destroyers carry 72 Fighters in 6 squadrons. 5 Squadrons of Dedicated Fighters and 1 Squadron of Bombers - Also a few shuttles too. Star Destroyers have pretty lacklustre anti fighter defences ad they are more like Battleships with a small carrier ability. The Clone Wars Venator Class now that would be hell to get near with Fighters as it had far more anti fighter protection. The IJN would be better for engaging your ID Mothership battle with that many freefall dumb bombs. That Star Destroyers rate of fire needs a serious nerf....its weapons are designed for slugging matches with Capital ships and can only flak burst fighters
