    So I had the Specialità (which is a Libra without weight) and I can say, that the grind quality of the Fio is much better. No clumps and very uniform grounds every shot with great accuracy. Compared to the Eureka XL it delivers some more fines but is on par in quality. It is not the fastest grinder but the grind by weight improves the workflow so much that seconds don’t matter compared to the versatility that this grinder brings.

      @@14-BODHI I wound up buying the allground sense. Does well with light roasts. Super easy to clean the thing which is nice because you can keep a consistent grind. Dialing in was super easy. I wish the steps in the grind adjustment ring were a little smaller but I adjust the weight a little bit here and there. No problems, very nice grinder.

    Hi great video as always! I was wondering if you had any thoughts when comparing this grinder to yhe Eurka Atom W 65? I have a small mobile espresso cart. And we switch portafilters depending on the size of the drink. Do the forks accommodate different sizes? Thank you!

    How does this work with a dosing ring on the portafilter?

    Great video. Something minor, but I am trying to understand more about is the switching from espresso/moka/filter. I noticed you switched from espresso to moka at 7:20 - I was under the impression that you need to run the grinder when adjusting grind size. Is this not the case? This seems much more convenient for changing to different styles. Thanks!

      When you go from fine to coarse, is fine. When you go coarse to fine then yes you have to run the grinder. As you clamp on the beans Cheers luke

    Thanks for the great video. I've just bought this grinder and very happy with it's performance. Do you know what the solid white dots on the grind adjustment collar indicate? Also my cheap scales seem to always show a gap of around 0.7g from the selected grind weight. What scales are those you use in the video. Many thanks

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters  5 місяців тому

      We use the acaia scales, maybe your cheap ones are out? The 3 dots? In the espresso they split that section into 3 parts, and there is a big bean and a small bean to help you know which way to move to be finer or coarse

    I am unable to grind coffee for moka pot using the moka basket. When I put the basket on the fork (scale of Allground Sense) it blinks - as it would tare, but when I press the button to grind, it shows me the icon, to put moka basket - machine is not grinding. When I add additional weight it grinds.
    My moka basket weights 25,4 g and it is not being recognized. Can you check if you have similar issue? Maybe there is minimum weight for the grinder to start grinding that I am not aware of?
    Additionally, I received my Allground Sense without dosing cup, that normally was included with Allground classic. Did you get the plastic dosing cup with your Allground Sense?

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters  5 місяців тому

    Does this grinder require some minimum amount of beans to sit in the hopper an press down the burr chamber for the grinder to grind properly? Would it grind well if there were only about 40g of beans (about two doses) in the hopper at a time? Thanks!

    I appreciate your honesty om showing filter coffee grounds weight parity. But it's a deal breaker for me. I prefer close to zero retention. Bit disappointing because I was so ready to order this grinder. I wouldn't mind a bellow attachment. But I don't see that option here.

      @@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Many thanks for that. I find the comparisons useful. That was a useful video you made. Appreciated seeing that kind of detail. 'Time to Grind' for doses the icing on the cake. That's about 1.7g/s (to calc time for other dose sizes).

    A real application in our house is a setting for half caff coffee and full fat coffee.... Does the menu cater for that?
    Often, the weight or grind size (or both) needs tweaking for either.
    This is for espresso i should add.

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters

      Sorry what do you mean by half caf and full fat caf??

    • @Graggs
      @Graggs 6 місяців тому

      @@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      Essentially two different coffees.
      The wife drinks decaffeinated (actually half caff) and I drink regular coffee. So, our application certainly lends itself to a single dose low retention grinder.
      And another question if I may?
      How long would the coffee stay "fresh" for in the hopper?

    • @Mattxwill1
      @Mattxwill1 6 місяців тому +1

      Any review on this grinder talks about how this is not targeting single dose usage, if it's not already obvious. And what is "full fat" coffee? If you switch to decaf you want a single dose grinder. And "how long will they stay fresh? In the hopper?". I suggest if you are asking these questions you probably should save your money and not be looking at a $1000+ grinder. :-)

    • @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters
      @ArtistiCoffeeRoasters  Місяць тому

      Typically a dosing pot was used to grind into so you can use a external scale, grinder companies still see grinding into the portafilter as the main way grinders are being used

    • @jl9300
      @jl9300 Місяць тому

      @@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters but the grinder has settings for Mocha and Filter??? Fair enough if it's only configured for espresso. If you take a classic Bialetti, its filter holder is made out of ultra light aluminium, nowhere near the min weight of 60g. I wonder what they envisaged people would do if they actually wanted to use the grinder for the tri-purpose it was designed for?
