When I see the forks, the solution my Baratza Sette 270WI uses doesn't seem bad at all. And it can be very easily switched to dosing into included filter dosing cup. BTW grinding by weight is awesome, especially when making 6 espressos in a row and for dialing in :)
Arrrrg champ hence staying away from GBW you know how i love my filter coffee too. Great honest review as always buddy keep up the good work 💥💥💥☕️☕️☕️☕️💕💕💕💕
I have this grinder, and a eureka grinder. Both grind by weight, bit the eureka is stepless, where as the other grider is a step grinder. I feel that I have a little more control with the eureka, and prefer the eureka.
Love my original AllGround and has been flawless for bit over a year now! Only peeve is difficult in purging grounds when swapping between grind styles when using hopper full of beans, and also would be good if Fiorenzato made the bellows available from their other new model, which would make single dosing a breeze! On another note - what is the brand/model of that cool looking coffee bar/buffet in the background? I need a new setup and that looks the goods!
Hi mate, I had the same problem as you. Fiorenzato now sell the bellows that come on the new model as a separate item. I bought mine from Ritual Barista in the UK, but you should be able to source them form any Fiorenzato authorised seller. Hope this helps!
@@plupluplutus Definitely not zero retention, grounds tend to accumulate at the top of the chute, which the bellows only partially remedies. The bellows tends to also make a bit of mess, as it blows some of the grounds in the portafilter on to the surrounding surfaces. I would definitely recommend it, if you can live with retention of ~0.4g and the slight clean up required after.
I saw another review that said they will offer a new fork and cup for filter dosing in the near future. Any idea on what that might cost? Also that review said you can do a manual grind, have you worked out how to do that?
Interesting. I hope they do offer the additional forks and dosing cup - would make sense to ship as one though - first time hearing about it. You can manually grind out yes - keep in mind - you need something on the portafilter forks still - (that I'm aware of - and could work out.)
😂 hahaha There are some great things about this Grinder - I don't think I'm ripping on it at all. Makes great Espresso, yet it does just miss some things if considering the function of Filter coffee using the Weight to dose methods.
I wanted to see the hopper emptied of beans and if there was any beans left in the machine and if I could measure out a shot and put the beans into the hopper and have the machine dose out a single and double shot pre measured.
It looks like the original AllGround with the dosing chute included would be better if you do more than only espresso. Only being able to do espresso on an "AllGround" seems like a major flaw. For grind quality, how does this compare with a Mazzer Mini? Thank you.
Better 👌 Mini Mazeer are great - but this is that next level consistency for Espresso and filter. With a heightened sweet/acidity and a bolder body and finish
@@AlternativeBrewing I watched you and it's almost impossible to grind into a cup. I seriously considered buying this GWB grinder because I occasionally drink filter coffee too. But it's pointless without a suitable cup.
Only thing people report is the quite big „dead space“ of this grinder, which seems to be around 5 grams. If you dont switch beans, it only creates risk of having old grinded coffee in your shot. If you switch beans, that can be a bummer if the old comes out. Its not crazy big but there are grinders that only have 1-2 grams dead space. Other than that, particles spread, result of grinding, haptic, scale itself, all flawless!!! For 1 grand, nothing to complain.
@@AlternativeBrewingI believe it should be a funny answer. Maybe I used the wrong Term due to the reason of not being native. In any case, shit load of coffee stays in the channel compared to others.

Absolutely agree. Hoping this technology only becomes more widely available
You can use a dosing ring
i use mine all the time.
I've got the same machine at home. work works perfectly.
Thanks for the tip!
how do you use it, which dosing ring?? seems to be very little space to use a ring?

I've found that a stepless grinder gives you finer control over the grind settings.
Remove the basket from your bottemless portafilter and get a dosing cup that fits inside it.

@@the-Brown does the bellow makes the "old" AllGround single dose with zero retention?

It says in the manual that you should only change grinder settings while the motor is running/grinding taking place? Is this everyones experience?

Thanks 🙏 can’t buy this one unfortunately- was made by a family member

The Allground comes with a container for filter grind. The Sense does not include one?
no :(

Can't agree more... Why isn't there a cup for mocha and filter... Crazy dumb!
What actually does the weighing? Is it the forks?
Yes, the forks though are attached to a floating plate, where the mechanism is.
