The sound he makes at the beginning he calls a "tongue flute". He is blowing air through the shape of his tongue to make one tone and then vocalizes a second tone from his throat. Amazing.

You're the first non-beatboxer I've seen actually correctly guess how the tongue flute at the beginning works! I loved hearing your analysis of the track and your interpretations of his sounds. Can't wait for you to hear more from him and others. I think you'd love River's elimination round for GBB 2023. It's a 4 minute live performance and it's on another level both in beatbox skill and in composition.

D-low is pretty incredible! Helium is a Russain beatboxer who is also one of my favorites! TrapDoorBoom is one of my favorite tracks of his😎 there are SO many great beatboxers that will never fail to impress

@@bobcieslinski Agree with both of you! The amount of training he must have done..! After the ”bird-like sound” I think it sound like a didgeridoo 🙂 If you want more amazing vocal sound Guy you can listen to Show-go from Japan. D-Low has been beatboxing for 15+ years now, probably getting closer to 20 by now tbh, he's truly a master of his craft!!
The dude is amazing.
Dlow started in 2006 but he said he was good in 2013. In the 2021 GBB Judge showcase video you can check it out.

You need to react to MB14 La Cup Worldwide Showcase 2018. In short MB14 is a French beatboxer and looper, former member of a beatbox group called BERYWAM (which I also recommend to watch). In this video he makes a loopstation presentation that leaves many with their mouths open. Greetings
If you want to see a whole lot of BBX variety and a mix of techniques and styles I recommend searching BeatBox Circle Jam and picking any of the top results. You'll get a tasting platter of the worlds top artists.
Also Show-Go and Gene Shinozaki for composition, vocal and technical precision, Vocodah for insane inward vocal techniques, Helium for the craziest and cleanest drum patterns and...well I could go on all day and that's just on solo artists.

I recommend stitch's gbb 2021 wildcard 'feels like nothing' the vocal ability on display is otherworldly!
great video! that sound you hyper focused on in the end is actually not a vocal technique at all! its called the OD Bass and is actually produced with the tongue. if you open your throat and force the tongue back, then forward and down, it rattles against the bottom of your mouth and the sound is amplified by the throat being opened. its a really cool sound and D-Low is one of the best at it!

@@bobcieslinskiI just seen Jinjer live recently and couldn't believe how good they sounded. Not sure how you decide what to react to cause I'm new to channel but love the variety. I think you'd like Ichika Nito based on how you liked Marcin. Great arranging and playing. And beatbox wise,you have a lot to explore. Could be fun to check out Spacetime Legends 2021. Handful of the pros that been in the scene awhile having friendly fantasy battles. Could get a taste of several different styles in one video. If you do this,I'm sure the beatbox community would appreciate you also checking out beatboxer vocodah,as his videos were taken down although he participated and was an innovator.
