Cool concept and cool way to practice it. Until now I just tried playing 5s as a polymeter in different subdivisions but this framework of practice is also interesting. Definetly gonna try it, thanks for the video

80/20 sent me here. i liked your lesson and subbed for more. my band works in odd meters and that’s my weak spot. i’m currently working on a passage in 5 that has a 6/8 feel and this will help me to add some “foreshadowing “ in parts that lead up to that passage. thanks for the content and i hope you keep it up after we’re allowed back outside again. cheers from philly!

Steve, I really enjoyed that vid. I play open handed but the concept applies in exactly the same way, I'll just need to apply some slightly different sticking. If anyone fancies trying my sticking, my favourite five pattern is L RF R L/RF (CRASH/ BD) R (BUZZ ON SNARE)
