Just like the aviator watches, the Laco maritime watches allow you to hold one thing in particular in your hands: a piece of history. Both the aviator watches and the maritime watches from Laco look back on a legendary past and a rich history. The requirements to start constructing them came from the German Marine Observatory in Hamburg, and only a few factories were able to fulfil them in the 1940s. Laco was one of those companies. Today's watches are still oriented toward the look of yesteryear in their appearance. Thus, with a maritime watch from Laco watch manufacturing you always have a piece of history made in Germany in sight.

I have another Laco with the same upgraded movement. Amazing 69hours (measured) of power reserve. +2s daily deviation when wearing. Very happy with it!

Had my eye on their Munchen chronograph for a while. Thanks for this review and your insights.

Brilliant watch with a full moon lume. Can’t wait for your review of the new 39mm Zulu Time

Hi Barry, this is a really fine piece: you have heritage, a clear, smart dial and a choice of sizes, all at an insane price. I can see my credit card taking another beating here... 😢. Thanks Barry, you've scored again! Cheers, Bob 🍻

Mine doesn’t have the raised printed numerals. That’s a nice change on their part! Bought mine Nov 2022

Looks a great watch but I always wonder whether the pvd finish will resist scratches and wear. If it does not then it would be better not to have it in the first place. I have been considering a similar watch, the Archimede Pilot 200 in dlc black.

I think a PVD watch with loads of wears looks so cool personally , if you want the black coat to last your going to need a Sinn as there black coat is amazingly tough

Although the Stainless Steel case model of this watch is lower priced ,is it correct that they come with a distressed vintage look to both the Watch and strap, or is it not all variants as there are at least four I'm aware of with one having the date window adjacent to the 3 o Clock numeral which I actually prefer. Variants being the ' Valentia Casablanca, Helsinki and the Barcelona .
