Hello @@LMAutoRepairs I can not believe I am returning to this exact comment, but I have a little problem and I need some advice if possible. I am not a big mechanic, did some dirt bikes, but I like to fix my own things if possible, and my friend have a garage with tools:) Long story short. I own MB W211T 2005. E220CDI second year now, good car, well maintained in Switzerland. Last month on my short vacation I had a black smoke from exhaust and limp home mode after some acceleration, also I think it would not go in higher rpm. Check engine light appeared next day. Right there I checked air intake line and I could not find problem accept one bolt missing on exit side of a MAF unit, fixed that, cleaned hot wire on MAF sen., also cleaned MAP sen., with a brake cleaner I had in a trunk:)...nothing changed thou...than I unplugged EGR motor and voila, car was running like new, kick start everything, going up to 4000rpm no problem, but when I reach 5th gear and 100km/h I could hear like it closes turbine, limp home mode again, no kick start, running like old 200D :) It was good enough for me to return home, and drive it like that in the city for a month now, meanwhile just changed engine oil. Last week I pooled out EGR valve with some struggle and silicon oil spray, but I was quite surprised that it was almost clean, it was actually more dirty under the plastic cower by the step motor where spring is than on the valve. It had some play but seamed to me it is not too bad. Cleaned all that, put it back, plugged it back, and same sht again. I unplugged it again. Yesterday I plugged it on my friends diagnostics and it was reading these codes. 2359 boost pressure - low pressure 2527 left EGR positioner - signal line interrupted 2355 exhaust gas recirculation - air mass is too large So, my question would be, should I buy new EGR or inspect old one again, to see if it is repairable?...Or, should I bypass it, it is twice cheaper than new EGR? ...exhaust emission is no problem in Serbia where I am from. I was also planing to unplug swirl flaps and put a 4,7 ohm resistor to fool ECU . Low boost pressure could be because it could loose vacuum on a not fully closed EGR, black smoke fits nice with a third code too, I guess...but how it worked fine when unplugged? second code probably I made by unplugging it...could it be some faulty sensor doing this, maybe MAP or MAF(could I test it somehow?) hope it is not ECU :)...should not be turbine since it is running great up to 60mph. I must sound like a cheep mtf but here that EGR motor costs what my wife is getting payed for half month of working, and she is a teacher :)...actually not funny ;) LM, thank you for your time!!!
@@dzodaj Hi It sounds that indeed the EGR is bad... on live data you might be able to see the requested position against the actual... if not the same, the position circuit is faulty... Ideally a new egr, but if you have the option to blank it and remap the ecu... go for it. Untill you have the EGR issue resolved, I would not worry about the other faults... as they might be all related... Hope that helps!
@@LMAutoRepairs Thank you so much, it is helpful indeed...I was just wondering could I find in live data what I need to be sure about EGR faulty and not something else...I am learning slowly...last time EGR was disconnected when I was reading codes. I might try to fix that EGR faulty, it is a challenge, I always liked to try to make something out of nothing. I have some free time and I am reading few forums, some guys were really getting into these things with electronics. forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/index.php?threads/cdi3-egr-bypass-mod.88374/ Thank you again, you are a great guy!... and mechanic too :)

Awesome buddy, would you know a way for me to get a software update for mercedes actros truck euro 5.
It flagging a implausable B73 downstream temp sensor fault.
Thank you for your time
Common for the wiring to fail not far in front of the temp sensor. To update the ecu u need xentry flash then you can do it no problem as long as you have tbe flash files or have it online
@@CANDiagnostic software is my last option all wiring double checked. Road tested with the scope on both upand down stream sensonsors whilst watching live data on xentry.
Both sensors removed and het up physically wathing both resistance reducing. If you have any other ideas plz drop me a mail rmcallister09@aol.com

@@russellmcallister6830 spray easystart or something similar into the intake and see if the sensors react to it

Depends on the ecu...
Which ecu is that?

@@s1tuningsheffield62
A quick search lead me to assume that that module should have a 95128 eeprom...
You should find it stamped on the chip...
@@LMAutoRepairs it looks like it is underneath the big battery so would i have to remove the battery to read it chip
Thanks

Hello @@LMAutoRepairs I can not believe I am returning to this exact comment, but I have a little problem and I need some advice if possible. I am not a big mechanic, did some dirt bikes, but I like to fix my own things if possible, and my friend have a garage with tools:)
Long story short. I own MB W211T 2005. E220CDI second year now, good car, well maintained in Switzerland.
Last month on my short vacation I had a black smoke from exhaust and limp home mode after some acceleration, also I think it would not go in higher rpm. Check engine light appeared next day. Right there I checked air intake line and I could not find problem accept one bolt missing on exit side of a MAF unit, fixed that, cleaned hot wire on MAF sen., also cleaned MAP sen., with a brake cleaner I had in a trunk:)...nothing changed thou...than I unplugged EGR motor and voila, car was running like new, kick start everything, going up to 4000rpm no problem, but when I reach 5th gear and 100km/h I could hear like it closes turbine, limp home mode again, no kick start, running like old 200D :)
It was good enough for me to return home, and drive it like that in the city for a month now, meanwhile just changed engine oil.
2359 boost pressure - low pressure
2527 left EGR positioner - signal line interrupted
2355 exhaust gas recirculation - air mass is too large
So, my question would be, should I buy new EGR or inspect old one again, to see if it is repairable?...Or, should I bypass it, it is twice cheaper than new EGR? ...exhaust emission is no problem in Serbia where I am from.
I must sound like a cheep mtf but here that EGR motor costs what my wife is getting payed for half month of working, and she is a teacher :)...actually not funny ;)
LM, thank you for your time!!!

Hi
It sounds that indeed the EGR is bad... on live data you might be able to see the requested position against the actual... if not the same, the position circuit is faulty...
