      Actually, at bnsf we use road power quite often.

    Just a little info.
    You could restrict loco access to grain shed. Some companies don’t want a loco where there are food products being handled.

      I considered that, and even have an older Trackmobile I thought about using. But I decided I'm just going to copy the prototype examples I based this on, where they frequently have locomotives in the unloading area to facilitate switching.

      I got you, in my prototype the loco is not allowed in the shed where flour is delivered and shipped from.
      Makes it interesting when the unloaded cars have to go to a wash track to be cleaned out. Then possibly be loaded out with outgoing product.
      A run around is required to spot the wash track.
      That’s the great thing about modeling the prototype. Great job , keep it up!

      I actually was able to find paperwork from crews that actually worked the Hiawatha elevator district. Great for the real track names and spots. Even notes how to switch the elevators.
      I do this on my n scale free-mo N sections modules. I use JMRI OPS to generate computer switchlists. One elevator takes about 90 minutes to switch. The Milwaukee Road called it the “ Garden Job”
      With my esu lok sound equipped locos and my Proto throttle it’s a blast!
