Almost a win, but the driver aspect killed it. That means its something like Displaylink is being used not Altmode, and that sucks as there similar folding monitors that do use altmode
@@shanedavey6993several things. It's limited compared to altmode in functions, it requires a driver that needs extra CPU use and therefore slows down the computer
Installing drivers from a relatively unknown Chinese company? No thanks. Shame because most of their products appear to be fairly high quality. Also, needing drivers suggests that this is using DisplayLink rather than DisplayPort. DL is much lower bandwidth than DP, meaning the video signal is compressed, so it will lose sharpness and color fidelity any time there is movement.
I'm not "techy" at all - but recently purchased and am using this double monitor (which I was really impressed originally - it does seem to be very well built and solid) and installed the driver. It works great. When it's not crashing my laptop - which occurs daily, at minimum 3x during my day (7 hours?). You are also correct, since adding this, my speed has dropped significantly - especially during Zoom meetings. To the point that I'll only do meetings from my desktop now. Do you think the DL could also be the reason for crashing my laptop?

@@MaureenMecham It could be. But mostly DL should be avoided because it transmits a much lower image quality than DP, HDMI, or even DPalt.
The only instructions I received are in Chinese.
