Hi Lynn!!! oh my gosh...I have been so busy! I want to play but, everything is going into boxes. I checked your tracking number. its showing this Weds 30th delivery 🚚 I can't wait!!! Ive been so excited for you to receive the box. woooh!! xoxo jenn
Jennifer, I am so excited!! You are very kind and thoughtful. Life has been busy here too. I feel like I hit a wall at Christmas after pushing and packaging so much. Now the Christmas holiday is over and could it be that I actually feel some energy returning??!! LOL Love and blessings to you and your family. xx
Thankyou for the great tutorial :) I have made a packaging journal and I was debating whether to have a go at sewing in my signature. You have insprired me 😊
You didn’t use any glue to help tack your fabric to the folder did you? You ARE really good! I’m so happy that I found your channel; I also enjoyed your tutorial style and I feel I learned a lot watching this. Thank you so much for this!
Lynn, this was an great teaching tutorial! I really enjoyed watching you create and put this all together. LOVED that mustard color fabric you used on the inside covers! I'll have to give this soft cover a try. Thanks again and happy New Year to you and your family!
Good morning Lynn. I'm not sure how I missed this great tutorial. I am getting ready to make a new journal and I'm going to go with your method for it. I love this journal. I will be happy if mine turns out just half as pretty as this one. I found an old quilt at the thrift store the other day and that's what I'm planning to use. I would love to trade you some of my old quilt for some of yours. Thanks again for sharing your technique. Big hugs...Linda
Hi Linda! Yaaay for new journals! LOL I would love to trade some old quilt. I think I still have a nice pieces floating around somewhere. I am sure your journal will be gorgeous! I have seen one of your journals before! Hugs to you!! Lynn
Lynn, thank you so much for this tutorial! Really appreciate your expertise! I broke my leg working in the garden just before Christmas, so I need lots to watch on utube 😉. Hope you and Jason had a lovely Christmas .Our area is in lockdown atm and so our family were not allowed to visit for Christmas, that was pretty sad..... Let’s all hope we will have a much better 2021!! Cheers, Dorle 😘🇦🇺😷🎄🍾🥂
Oh no, Dorle!!! Oh dear. I am so sorry. You know what? I fell yesterday in my workshop. Got my leg tangled up in the tripod, which I am not used to having out, and down I went! Thank goodness there was a stack of plastic bins full of fabrics and paper. That definitely broke my fall. I am so thankful I did not hit my head or break anything. My dear, I am very sorry to hear about your leg, and I hope you are soon healed up 100%. 2020 has been NO JOKE. I tell Jason on a regular basis that I am so very thankful for a healthy new grandson in 2020, but otherwise 2020 has been a hard year, with a lot of hard change and loss for a lot of people. What a year. Love and hugs from me in NC
Lynn I simply adore your journal! Thank you for this tutorial and I hope to be able to buy one of your gorgeous journals in the New Year. I will however give this a whirl!!! Much love!!!
Here's an idea for next time -- cut that double sided fabric down the middle lengthwise or widthwise, turn one half to the other side, then sew together = now you have both sides showing.
Love when you do these vids. Even Kimchi wants to make one, but will have to find a great quilt. He sews a little crooked but that’s ok! Do you have to use a stronger needle when sewing through these layers?
Hi Cat! Kimchi is an artist. Mr. Kimchi must have appropriate supplies and emotional support. Thank goodness he has you!! LOL I used to use just standard regular needles in my machine, but I recently switched to heavy duty needles or needles for denim because I have bent/broken a few lately. My poor sewing machine. I am decidedly NOT easy on a sewing machine!! xxLynn
Hi DJ. Thank you for watching! Yes, likely so. I try to catch the folder at least in a few spots if not all the way around so that it doesn’t just “float” inside the fabric. It’s been a while since I watched this video. xx
@@abitofbirdsong Right. Thanks. And after I thought again about it, the paper file folder was already straight stitched to the lining, wasn't it? So even if the zigzags didn't catch it, it would have not been floating between the fabric. Thanks again. I appreciate the time and effort to post a nice video like this. ♥
I would definitely think so. Many people don't have sewing machines. I've made journals before without sewing, but instead using glue. I hope it works out! ❤🌷🦋
Excellent tutorial thank you, and your journal is truly fabulous! 👌🤩🏴
Hi Rachel! Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment.
❤🦋❤🦋❤
Hi Lynn! You make that look so easy. I love that flower on the front and the way you sewed around it in circles. It makes it look so neat! XX, Gail
Thank you so much!! xxLynn
Hey, I found you. Happy day!

Hi Marci! You are so very kind. Thank you. Much love to you as well! xxLynn
Thanks for the tutorial. I started junk journaling about 1-2 years ago. Love it.
Hi Jazz! Thank you so much! xxLynn

Love it. Great tutorial 🙏😊❤️
Thank you so much Mary!❤️
Hi! Thanks for the video. When you were doing the zigzag stitch around the cover, were you catching the paper file folder in that stitching?
Hi DJ. Thank you for watching! Yes, likely so. I try to catch the folder at least in a few spots if not all the way around so that it doesn’t just “float” inside the fabric. It’s been a while since I watched this video. xx

Instead of sewing the cover could I glue it to file folder?
I would definitely think so. Many people don't have sewing machines. I've made journals before without sewing, but instead using glue. I hope it works out! ❤🌷🦋
