Very very good presentation!!!!! Any questions? None, you left me without questions
The tailgate bed step is meant to be deployed by foot. You simply place a foot on it and with little effort you can pull with your foot. Similarly, you push it back under with your foot. A side mounted tail step would not work for a split tailgate. I have this configuration and I find it very functional and easy to use. Thank you much for the video review
A very thorough video. Well done. I bought a Ram 1500 Limited Elite 2023 and these cars are identical essentially.
Thank you. How have you been liking it so far?
@703Speed I love the car. Thankfully, I didn't have to pay anywhere close to the $80k.
Thank you! The most informative car review I have seen. I learned more about the truck than the dealership or salespersons. Glad to have found your channel. New subscriber!
Thank you for the sub!!
That is an amazing idea for tailgate... Love it...❤ Can't wait to have this truck in my life 🤩
The split tailgate is nice but DONT place your hand on the seam when slamming the full end gate as the flex will most definitely become a pinch point.
Excellent review as usual.
Thank you!
Those are definitely speakers in the rear headliner. I love the HK sound system but those ceiling mounted speakers sometimes make it difficult to speak to the rear passengers if any audio is playing.
Also, the + - switch on the steering wheel isn't to shift gears, it's to set a gear limit, as noted on the switch. It sets a maximum high gear, otherwise it functions normally and won't shift the transmission manually.
So with the new screen setup button on the steering wheel, it replaces the voice activation button. How do you activate the voice assistant now, especially for Android Auto/Apple Car Play?
You just say “Hey Ram” or “Hey Siri” depending on the system you are using. No button push. (I have a two week old 2024 Ram Limited).
Beautiful Ram. Love these trucks.
Best car review I think I ever saw great job!
Wow, thanks!
@@703Speed I watch literally dozens and dozens of reviews of my dream rides and the detail you went into for this is basically making me buy one in the next few months. I was leaning towards a Denali. Now it's this one! :)
I love how You're switching cars from 40MPG Honda to 18 MPG Ram Truck. Pretty cool American automobil with big v8 under the hood. Greetings
I love the split tailgate.
The split tailgate is so you can have access to the bed when you are hooked up to a trailer.
That makes perfect sense..
wrong , its so you can pallet load or hand load easier@@703Speed
Plus it would be too heavy if it was one piece. The honda is much smaller
I have a 2020 Ram Limited with split tailgate and Rambox. Mine is patriot Blue. Absolutely love the split tailgate. Really cant imagine why you dont.
Wonderful color makes truck look great. Thanks. Peace.
Agreed!
My favorite reviewer ❤😊
Ram box are pretty useful, was gonna pull trigger on a 21 but didn’t have it so kinda made my decision to pass
Had the Ranbox on my last one. Absolutely the best option ever. You only lose the space around the wheel wells, you can still fit a sheet of plywood.
👍🏻👍🏻. Stellar review.
My immediate response to the question. What does a $85.000 truck look like? Lately they look like dust collectors.
Thank you - and good answer. Hard to afford an expensive vehicle with high interest rates!
@@703Speed Yes even if you put down 50 grand that's still a hefty payment, that's really for someone with $$$$$ for a cash sale.
As of now - 100%@@zxtenn
The tailgate is split liket that for the times one is in a position to where a swinging tailgate one open enough to get things in. Has a purpose and very useful if found in a situation like that.
Now my first new Ram 1500 truck I can buy.
Although, I'm too crazy with the Ram boxes. Does it come without the Ram boxes?
My dealer manager said they couldn't put that step on the back because of the double door. I wanted it before I bought just 4 days ago. You show it fits just fine!. I sent 2 pictures I took off this video that the rear step is perfect. I'm MIFFED!!!! $76,790 msrp Limited Longhorn and I get stiffed for that, and their cost is probably $200. At least, I'm 75 and wont be buying another.
This is a damn nice last truck if you ask me! Congrats!
Prefer the RAM boxes, that space will now actually get used. In a full sized bed i rarely need that extra room. Plus it keeps smaller stuff out from under seats or in boxes.
Yep. I had ‘em on my 2015 Limited, I have them now on my 2023 Limited. Multifunction tailgate as well. I have this truck but with Night edition. It’s gorgeous without all the chrome. 😊
As an owner of this truck…nearly identical (I don’t have electric locking rear differential or the 3.92, my last truck did. I like my fuel economy better…). The tailgate design is perfect. If you have one big pane, you may not be able to “swing” it effectively. With the split, you can open it more easily AND it places less load on just one set of hinges… split the weight. The ram boxes take up room that otherwise, isn’t used…just above the wheel well. the bigger issue is, you can’t get the Rambox in a 6.4ft bed, only in 5.7ft beds. You will barely use the air ride raise/lower, except for hooking up to a trailer hitch…. I don’t have the Elite, I have the night edition…so no chrome, all blacked out, including black chrome exhaust tips. Also…the speakers aren’t truly 19…. There are 10 speakers I believe, but they’re counting a 2 or 3 way speaker as 2 or 3 speakers. It sounds great for factory speakers…. It’s a great truck!
@@davidgeeman3254 Let me put it a different way..... I'll be using the living sh1t out of the ramboxes. For me, they're a big difference......and situationally adaptable. I get it, they don't fly for others....but for a big hunter, etc., they're a huge difference. If you don't know why, you don't know.
@@stevenl4494 yesiree. I’ll be very disappointed the day I can no longer get RAM Boxes on a full sized truck. I use mine every day. Drivers side has all the essentials you HOPE to never use (tie downs, air compressor, tow strap, trailer hitch…rope) the passenger side is the one I use to move things in and out of. From groceries to cold beverages..:)
@@davidgeeman3254 Yep, you've listed a lot of what I've stuck in there....along with a bug out bag, hitches, binos, etc. I have yet to do much with the passenger side box. HIGHLY useful feature....
I feel you're frustration on finding your must have but have patience. It's getting much closer to finding your prefect vehicle.
I like chrome bumpers over the body color bumpers. Not sure if you can option those out.
Chrome bumpers come standard with the Limited
Well, very nice truck but definitely over-priced by 20k. No, absolutely one should be purchasing a vehicle over 70k no matter if is a daily commuter driver. All trucks lose 20% of their value as soon as you drive it off the dealer parking lot. I own a used RAM 1500 Limited and paid under 40k under 50 miles with all the same bells and whistles as this one. Make sure you negotiate a fair price for yourself before you purchase. Wow... 85k for a truck, and that's before taxes and insurance...Unreal!!!
I think most sell in the 70's
True, but individuals should make an attempt to negotiate for a fair price in the high 50k to mid 60k if it's a Longhorn or Limited with all the bells and whistles. Get what you want... not what the dealer tries to stick you with that you're not happy with in the end. About 60% of sales are dissatisfied with their purchase after its over. Same thing goes for purchasing a home.😮 Don't settle for what they and you're not satisfied with it. Too many individuals are unhappy with what they purchase and it ends in regret and with a high monthly payment.
I could see that@@wiillied6384
Mine has a msrp of 81,000 we got it for 65,000
. Excellent
Good presentation
I’m interested BUT not at $85,000 + grand !!!!
I love the tailgate.
The most luxury truck until now 2024. I prefer longhorn interior is most luxury. The competition looks cheaper beside ram. Great
Own one I love the tailgate. The step is a little difficult to pull out but I’ll tell you what I owned a 2022 Toyota capstone and this truck is far better. The Toyota capstone is a cheap truck cheap parts cheap it falls apart. It never used to be that way, but it is now.
Absolutely, the eTorque sounds a bit like a supercharger 😄
Ram says you get an extra 100 torque the first half turn. wonder if you could change the programming to get more power out of it...
If these vehicles could sell at the same price in Australia nobody in their right mind would buy any other dual cabs.
If when doing the oil change you put 5W-30 versus 5W-20 and you won't have that tic if it has a tic
Good to know
Oh wow 18:05 at this price point I expect a power tilt and telescopic steering column, that’s odd. All high end Jeeps come with one so how hard would it be to add it to this?
Me too.. Prob coming on the 25' refresh
Yeah because once it's set. I change it every fuel stop.
What exactly makes this an ELITE model besides the interior color? My 2020 Limited is identical (minus RAM box) and I got it out the door for 72k.
Basically a fancier interior, and a couple other nice features on the exterior. You can take a look @ 22:00
Try to explain the cluster a little better w/o blocking what you are doing😢
Nice but $$$$$$ I just bought a 2023 Warlock quad cab so it has the 6 ft 4 in bed for HALF that 85 grand and it has more than a few options, not stripped. limited slip, tow group with 355 gears, power and heated rear window, power seat, center console, tow hooks, fog lights and plenty of other things. I just had a BED-RUG and tonneau cover installed to give it some nice looks. Mine has the plastic FENDER LINERS, i don't see them on that, hard to believe. Mine doesn't have the stop start which i am GLAD to see but nice to see that has the option to disable it. I love mine but i am only 5 ft 8 inches and the Warlock is an extra inch higher so i need to remember that when i get out.
Lol, sounds like power retractable running boards may be a good accessory to add to your truck
@@703Speed Yes its worth a thought at the moment, i just have to adjust how to get out, if it really bothers sm or gets to be too much i will get a set.
I was on another channel and he bought one that costs 78 grand for 63 so that's an AMAZING discount.
They give out some nice discounts on these trucks@@zxtenn
@@703Speed Yes they do, i love my Warlock. Its a VERY smooth drivetrain compared to my 2023 Tuscon, i am happy with the discount given on my Warlock and the trade in i received.
What is the best handling, road holding around turns, pickup truck?
From my experience - Chevys and GMCs
I would say the Ram with coil suspension and with 4x4 auto. leaf springs cant compete with coils for the twisty bits.
What is the useable bed width with the Ram Box option? Can you get a 4X8 sheet of plywood in it?
From what I've read, yes you can. The usable width at the narrowest point is 49"
@@703Speed important data point for any truck review, especially when pointing out the loss of bed width with the Ram Box option. Just trying to help.
Beautiful truck, but $85k is insane. I know it's the market, but I don't care. By the way the dismal sales are looking right now, I know a lot of other people don't care either.
I have a 2022 Silverado LTZ with the current refresh with every option that truck has, it's was a year old with low miles, for a little bit over half of that and I think that was too much, LOL.
Great review and again, nice truck. I was shopping for a RAM Limited, but not worth it to me to spend that much. There was a gently used one available at the time when I got my Silverado. It was still $10k more. Nope.
Thank you! But you can pick these up brand new in the mid to high 60’s. The msrp is high, but they sell a lot lower than msrp
I have seen a few trucks, not many, equipped like these in Chevy brand in the mid to high 60's. Most GMC and RAM are "on sale" in the high 60's to mid 70's with these trims and options. I started looking in October and most of them are still on the lots today. At least according to the dealer websites here in the Houston market. They've simply out-priced themselves. Their solution: raise the prices... I guess those who can afford them are waiting for a crash.
I see another bail out coming. If not for the service departments, a lot of dealers would be closed down. Paying interest and taxes on their overpriced inventory has gotta hurt.
It was still a good review of a really nice truck. I enjoyed watching it. The more of them I watch, the better I feel about the trade I made a month ago.
😂The trucks they're building nowadays I have to admit they give any luxury car a run for their money, And you have the capability of hauling and four-wheel drive So if you're driving home in a snowstorm and your in a ram with your family you're probably going to make it if you're driving home in a snowstorm in a Mercedes with all wheel drive well you're probably not going to. I've got a 04 Toyota tundra limited 4x4 crew cab it's got 240,000 mi on it I'm meticulous about getting service done and I only use synthetic oil and fluids since I've owned it and that truck runs as good today as it did the day I brought it home. I'm considering trading but to be honest it runs so good I just don't want to but I'm afraid something's eventually going to happen and the trucks either going to leave me stranded or it's going to cost more to repair than it's worth. This would be a good truck for a young person getting their first vehicle or someone that just doesn't have a lot of money to spend on a vehicle. The thing is it's still worth almost $9,000 or more and I only paid $36000 for it new.
Have they dealt with the exhaust manifold leaks
Not sure tbh
I think it’s time to call. Consumer
Turn off the traction control and then floor it. Wow
Your doing the review turn on the radio wait for it & listen
The leather on the dash will start to bubble up…..2019 limited
Are they speakers?
Turn on the radio and find!
The one key feature is the affordable price 😅
Lolll
I recommend buy 2024 Ram 1500 pickup.
No me gusta la calandra. Si tienes algo que funciona y está bien, no lo cambies.
Wait three years and let someone else take the 30K plus depreciation. If you buy new and finance the thing you're upside down the minute you sign the contract.
That's what I would do
Trucks are getting ridiculously expensive
I'm not impressed with the screen console
Definitely too much $. And historically prices have only gone up so it’s scary to think what they will cost in 5 years.
That being said, if you’re going to spend the money a RAM is it. Wait until the incentives come in and you can get these $10k-$14k off
You can already get that much off Msrp now
@@703Speed already did! 2023 Ram Limited
RAM needs to refresh their exterior, it looks so outdated compared to other full-sized pickup trucks in the market right now.
They are on a different refresh cycle so it happens that they have the oldest design for a period of time. The refresh comes out for the 25 model year.
Completely disagree rams exterior is simple and I love that.
I like this exterior..... it'll last over time. I've seen refreshes... sometimes they're good, but can be equally bad.
ZACH TYLER
I don’t like that tail gate, is hideous and I don’t find the use or purpose for that
An $85000.00 Ram, goes to prove that a fool and his money are soon parted.
Lol
Farted
I was doing quite a bit of that yesterday @@MrColinHostile
Something a person who couldn't afford it would say...🙄
It has nothing to do with money, it has something to do with people who have no idea of the value of an object and go out and buy a rust bucket on finance they know they can't afford.@@velboone6041
insane and stupid price.
They would sell 4x or more the trucks if they didnt destroy the sales price and make it 2x more then its worth.
I’m paya 469 a month with 270000 miles 2020lar ad now the want 560 a month
Change your camera, video its very curved
Too pricey
Great truck ruined by etourqe
eTorque is actually useful for additional low-end torque for towing.
Stop with the bs dinomi
I’ll never buy another dodge/ram Chrysler/Jeep. Complete Trash. Cash in a campfire!
I have 2023 limited elite its a beast gmc or ford aint touching it and all the people talking on here bout truck just cant
Afford it lol
Way,way too much.
Not worth that much.
Outdated 85k truck
85k 💀💀💀
5.7 Hemi equals cracked manifolds. The reason I will never own another one.
