Just curious after you run your box on both sides with the 10 box then pull the middle and your perfectly flat, y bust each side again with a 12 if it’s already flat? Y not just skim the whole but and call it done?
Good question! it is most because of edges. When you box them the first time wide open you are trying to leave as much there as possible. Even though I wipe behind box to get air and drag marks out, there are still edges because of the layer I have left. I don’t like to sand a lot so I just hit them as I go on skim coat with a 1 or 2 setting on box. It’s a lot like a 3rd coat on screws, makes them easier to sand.
To be clear I wasn't bashing the last video. Anything can be fixed in drywall and you did a good job at making this look beautiful
