This album will probably never get the props it deserves. This was just as influeuntial as anything bands similar to Nirvana did on the hard rock/metal genre in specific during this time period. A masterpiece of an album by a group of young artists that had no right releasing an album this incredible.

It took me a long time to get through this episode. I am not that familiar with Korn and had to pause the show to go listen to what you guys were talking about. You guys are totally correct about hearing it on a good system. I have never heard Korn on a good system before today.

I agree with Casey, Korn - Korn is proto-Nu-Metal, at best. It wasn't until later when the concept solidified into an industry term/genre. There was also an industry shift away from the Seattle sound as Nirvana had saturated the scene, his death overshadowing any band that would come from the same area. Davis was giving the task of scouting the Bakersfield area for talent which is how Orgy got signed, keeping in the family.
When Blind came up at the end of Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie, blew my teenaged mind.

Enjoyed the discussion fellas, I've never listened all the way through a Korn album and never got into nu-metal, but podcasts like this will pique my interest for sure. Can't wait for the next one!
