The thing with Anomalie is you can tell his style right off the bat..especially if you listen to his solo work. Metropole being the prime example. Kilamanzego's is sparkly and spacey...nicely trippy. Zomboy is faithfully dubstep/dirty bass. Andrew went dark with his..the deep grungy underground sound.
Andrew KILLED it on this one. Easily my favorite mix he’s done in the series. Those synth melodies were entrancing and the drop with the “monster” audio clip was just NASTY. I usually find Andrew’s style to not suit my taste although it’s always well done, but this time I found myself wanting to hit an add to playlist button within seconds of hearing it. Beautiful work Andrew, not on just the mix, but on the entire series itself. I get hyped anytime a new video drops. It’s something that even people who aren’t interested in music production can enjoy because of how amazing it is to watch different talents create.
Samee, typically i like to find new artists here as well, but Andrew absolutely killed it.

Yeah bro, i had the chance to go to his before show - masterclass in Paris last year and believe me, i'm not sure i understood everything he explained but wow definitely made me want to go back to music school get some piano lessons lol
I recommend Eliminate, Kompany, Wooli, Space Laces. All are brilliant producers and would flex nicely on this program.

Oh man, every single track came out so lit. Zomboy's was the most energetic & badass, Anomalie's was the most groovy & chill, K's was just this insane, innovative explosion of sounds, and Andrew's just created this insane atmosphere full of epicness. Yep, every single one was a straight up banger!!
So sick. Everyone killed it but the swagger that Anomalie brought to his track was insane.

Kilamanzego and Anomalie are I N S A N E
Kilamanzego's track in particular stood out to me. I'm a huge sucker for arps, pitch bend and chippy sounds. And the chords were stunning!

She didn't stick to the challenge though. She barely used the sample she was meant to use.
These are definitely four well produced tracks! My only problem is that this time the original sample was too ambiguous - so you can't even recognize it in the finished tracks (except for some small bits maybe). Personally, I think this kind of challenge works much better with sampling a distinctive part of a more "normal" song (preferably with vocals included). I love when I can actually hear the parts of the original sample (without intently listening to it ten times just to get it stuck in my head) so that I can appreciate how exactly the producers changed its vibe or built around it (Foreign Bodies becoming Follow Puppies in of the earlier episode being a great example! :) ).
When the original sample gets changed too much or is next to impossible to recognize in the finished mix, it feels a bit like the producers could just take a 20 second audio clip from any random UA-cam video and use its parts to create the sounds they need for the track - which kind of defeats the purpose of using a specific sample IMHO.
Otherwise, this is a great series and I'm definitely looking forward to more episodes - just hoping for a more "remix style" ones ;)

I think, even more than the actual production in this serie, the choice of sample is always incredible. They really give opportunities for VERY different exploitation. And even though I don't know what the producers will end up doing with it yet, I feel like this one won't be an exception.
