“Look at you, do you really think you can keep this up, really?!!” “ you know, you make people uncomfortable about themselves when your thin, right?!!” “ why try, those stretch marks will never go away, anyway!”............ and so on You are soooooo Right, when you said that you feel the “answers” are inside us! The last time I got down to my goal weight, I let a comment by a friend, spiral me out of control. I realize now, that I should have taken the time to be with myself and ask, “ is that REALLY true?” Instead, I ran into a bag of chips to “get away” 😥. It’s not the comment that did all the damage, it was my running away and not turning to face it and just ask myself 4 little words-“ is that really true?” Anyway, like always, your videos help so much-Thankyou so very much ❤️

Eat this junk food and enjoy it now. Then tomorrow you can start over again. The next day is always the hardest to get back on track especially if you’re feeling blah and bloated.

My inner dialog says "you're 55, who cares? Go ahead eat the thing, a menopause waistline is normal. Just accept having a Mom body" I've gained back 30lbs! I really need to get back on track J. Still Vegan of course but eating the bad things (processed garbage that isn't even food, I know better!) Thanks for being real, love you J!

Procrastination is a safety mechanism, hard to believe but true. The only way to bypass it is to start doing - start extremely small, like a walk around the block... or whatever you enjoy for 5 minutes. Just 5 minutes, then when consistent with that, start building on it. You've got this

I feel you. When Hannah's lean and clean book first came out I went for it and did the two weeks then found 3 things I liked from that and ate them every day. I had oatmeal for breakfast, tostadas for lunch, and sushi for dinner. I did that for a few months and lost 20lbs and got down to 131lbs (I'm only 5'2) which was my highschool weight. But then I got comfortable and started allowing myself to eat different things. Now I've gained 40lbs which is 20lbs more than when I started my weightloss journey. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and with all my fitness classes being closed and my 4yr old making home workouts extremely difficult, I haven't even bothered trying and have go so far down the vegan junk food path that healthy food tastes bland and borning. I totally related to you when you said you sometimes need to go backwards a bit before starting again and being ready to move forward. I've started working on eating more veggies but all this virus stress has made me leaning on comfort foods even more. We've baked so many Hot For Food goodies these last couple of months 🤦‍♀️.

My internal dialogue is much the same as your’s. I was def relating and laughing along with your comedic interludes. I have a ton of weight to lose and I’m at my first big goal. And suddenly I cannot tolerate potatoes anymore. Needless to say I’m a little angry about this. But when I say tolerate I mean I’m getting horrible migraines, nausea, vision problems, and vertigo. What the heck right? I want so desperately to go back to potatoes because now I’m gaining weight. And I’m not eating that unhealthy.

This was really good. I have self sabotaged myself, assuming time has passed for me to look the way I'd like to. I give up but then I try again. The other day I came across a 74 year old woman on Instagram who changed her body over 3 years. She started lifting weights and transformed her body. I was so amazed. She looked great. Her pic was the fuel I needed to get my brain in gear. I'm just as worthy to feel terrific. I'm 47 and damnit I want to be sexy!! 😫 keep it up lil' lady! You are beautiful 💋

I think I saw that same woman! Hey maybe focus more on being sexy on the inside, because aging is avoidable right? If we focus on having sexy arteries, colon and all that jazz, we'll most certainly look the best we can on the outside.

First of all, What?? You were stressed in the van?? How did I miss that, I thought you were having great fun. (We stayed in our van 4 months down south this winter. We are getting house ready to sell, and we plan in living in the van for a few years)I watched you prior to, but, fell in love with you and the dogs on your van trip. Do you think you will try it again?
Second. I hate this topic (environment) but, I wonder if that is the actual problem. I agree, the pleasure trap is a strong force. I don't understand why it pulls harder on some people than others. I do know when I mess up on my food plan, 98% of the time, it started from something in my house. Its in my house 🏠 because my husband has different dietary needs than I do. He gets sick if he eats my kind of food. You have the environment issue as well. I dont know the answers to this. It seems Chef A.J. believes we should just not live with folk who don't follow our eating plan. That's not practical, or desired. So, i am wondering how you can arrange your environment for success over the next couple of months?
Third. Excellent video. (Even without a dog 🐾 haha) clever thinking and video skills.
Fourth. You are strong. You are capable. You have skills.. I know you can and WILL do this. The path to success is never a straight line.
Your cheerleaders are always here, on the other side if your camera.

SunVegan Yeah we literally lived outside our mechanic shop for almost the entire trip, all the little fun moments still made it worth the experience. I believe (i didn’t want to at first) that we were knowingly sold a very shitty van. Hard lesson learned.
