For nicer stores that you bring games into to sell you will get at most 30% of price chart. At bigger places like gamestop/vstock and others you'll get about 10-15% of price chart. So 50% for an on the spot bulk deal isn't that bad.
One of the biggest things I learn from this guy is buttering people up. Notice how many times he called him kind, complimented him, and asked him questions about his collection. Very cool stuff
People that think he ripped the seller off have no idea what it takes to resell full time. I've been doing it for years, the seller honestly got a better deal because most resellers can only offer 50 percent at the maximum. Nobody understands how much labor it takes to sell all of these, or understand how often Amazon looses packages and you can loose whole shipments with hundreds of dollars if not thousands, plus returns, eBay Amazon fees, cost of shipping supplies, shipping fees, and the huge one taxes. He may make 25 percent so around 6k after all fees and a lot of games just won't sell.
Some people get rich by being dishonest and ripping people off, others get rich by being honest and creating relationships. God speed Caleb! You are doing right sir!
Overall solid score but when he was negotiating on the stuff that wasn’t price charted already you can tell by the dudes body language he would have accepted half of what was offered lol.
I’ve made $5200 from selling my collection within the past year or so. I never fully price charted everything but I’d estimate it was all maybe worth closer to $6000-7000. Obviously I sold some things at a slight discount to make them move faster and paid seller fees. All of it was sold on Mercari, mostly individually or bundled sales. Between figurines, toys, consoles, games, trading cards. It was all sitting in a closet. I wanted to one day make a game room and have it all displayed. But I thought to myself, “Would I really actually play any of this or just horde it all?” It actually feels good to have parted with a lot of it. And anything I ever miss I can always buy again. It was just becoming so costly to buy things just to say I had them. I am keeping some retro stuff, but a much more minimal collection. And now I’m focusing a bit more on current gen gaming, since that’s what I spend most of my time playing. So some of that money got me the three new current gen consoles (XSX, P5, Switch OLED) and I also built a pretty awesome gaming PC, and helped pay off some debt.
I remember begging my dad to buy me Gungrave when it came out, I was under the age of 18 at the time and couldn’t buy it my self do to it being rated M. It took me a few different trips to the store before I was able to convinced him. I still have it and it’s still one of my favorite games!

@@zackburkhart8693 totally agree. Price could’ve been slightly higher at maybe 60% but a lot of games could sit for years only getting 70-75% of total value after all costs and fees involved. Most importantly you save time
