Well get rid of the other series. Picard, Trek and Morty, etc...
They likely can only produce 25 to 30 hours of TV live action and cartoon shorts a year at the Big P. If you want an entire pre 2005 style TV season with 25 episodes...then only one series need apply.

I went to the Vegas convention. It was well attended. I was going to cancel the trip because the strikes mean that they couldn't talk about Star Trek or their characters or anything related. However I stuck with it and ... it worked! It was nice to get to know the actors better as people with questions focused on them as individuals. The cast of SNW are delightful, by the way. Shatner was really animated, Anson Mount is not afraid to use cuss words, Melissa (La'an) has a gorgeous happy laugh, and so on...

Sulu is the only character to wear all 3 colors. He wore red in the Mirror Mirror episode, blue in that episode and yellow in the rest of TOS. I wonder if we might get minor characters from TOS like Dr. Piper from that episode or yeoman Colt from The Cage who served under Pike as his assistant. Now depending how long they are captured they might need a new doctor. It's a good way to bring in Dr. McCoy or Piper. Dr. M'Benga and McCoy did work together. They could retcon Sulu and claim he was already there, but we never saw him and bring him up to navigate.

I was at the Vegas con and it was well attended and well worth going to! It was a little strained to have to watch us all (audience included) navigate not talking about the show, but we got to know the actors a little better. Love both Ethan and Zachary for different reasons! Both are amazing! Considering we see Ethan more often and recently helps us “bond” more with him. You should go to Vegas - the heat never bothers me coz I stay inside the hotel 95% of the time just leaving for meals. Give me as much SNW as you can make for as long as you can without sacrificing the quality of the series and making sure cast and crew are well cared for!! 🎉🖖🎉🖖

M'Benga ia not a BIG deal to explain. We know hes still a doctor on the Enterprise under James Kirk and Chief Medical Officer McCoy. We also know M,Benga is, at the time, the Vulcan specialist on the ship. He' s the one that brings Spock out of that self-induced healing coma. I say, M'Benga leaves the ship because hes dealing with the mental trauma of the war and what he had to do in that war. He decides his only "salvation" is the mental discipline taught on Vulcan. He says goodbye to the Enterprise and spends the next few years on Vulcan. One day he, returns to the ship where, still a doctor in StarFleet, he is again placed on active duty under Chief Medical Officer Leonard "Bones" McCoy.

Bones is not Enterprise's doctor in Where No Man Has Gone Before, we had Dr. Piper- so I don't think we should see him this early. In that episode (Kirk-era pilot) the only TOS characters present were Kirk, Spock, Sulu, and Scotty. Sulu is really the only other TOS character that could show up in SNW and make sense.

Mostly none of the TOS supporting cast in Pikes 2250s crew makes much sense if you look at TOS.
Doctor was obviously an old friend of Kirk, but came on after return and repair from the Barrier. Likely a transfer from Kirk's old posting.
Scotty was likely onboard before The Barrier mission but not in the early Pike years.
Uhura, Chapel have no direct experience with Pike or they'd be in tears in The Menagerie...and be in on the mutiny with Spock (another mutiny roadtrip for old times sake).
Spock is right. Mbenga is probably right....as when we see him first in 1967, he's returned from a residency on Vulcan.
The security officer always on the bridge is a TNG thing. TOS kept security in the lobby downstairs and called for them.
In TOS Uhura and Chapel have a past. When Chapel comes on board Uhura kissed her in reunion in What Little Girls. That is the 1st interracial kiss on Star Trek.
However it was not the first interracial kiss on US TV that happened in the 1950s....and it was Bill Shatner.

Chekov is an ensign who doesn't show up until season 2 so he's either still in the Academy or in his Senior year OnBoard during ST:SNW. In TOS, we learn that Dr. M'Benga studied on Vulcan. Could it be that he will take a leave of absence from the Enterprise to pursue this objective with the understanding that his current position would need to be permanently filled by someone else? Take it a step further, M'Benga could serve on the Enterprise as a specialist treating persons other than human. He could be seen gladly exchanging the administrative duties of chief medical officer for this purpose.

Chekov's is the youngest crew member and probably the last to join the crew. At the end of the first episode 50:47 they (Admiral April and another officer) talk as if they expect a war with the Gorn. They say Spock (and the crew of Enterprise ) have saved them from defending on two fronts. "He's one of our best and if this war happens we're going to need every good officer we've got." BTW, that may be why they were willing to let Una's somewhat weak defense get her off at her court-martial. It would be foolish to imprison a good officer just before an expected war. Especially after the casualties from the Klingon war.

I think all of the Gorn happenings and Noonian Singh issues will be resolved by either a time travel correction or a junior Q intervention kind of a soft reset. With the Time Travel plot being most likely. Maybe Pike will remember because of his exposure to the crystal. LA 'An will be gone as will this recent Gorn history. Most of the captives will be killed and only the time correction will bring back some of them.

    2. Before SNW gets to Kirk’s Enterprise, surely it has to get to the TOS pilot? We have No 1 from the pilot, and Pike of course, but there’s a different doctor.

You can’t have every member of Kirk’s crew on Pike’s. McCoy was not a member of Pikes crew it was a different Doctor. Chapel left for Roger Korby. The only member of Kirks crew we knew was also a member of Pikes was Spock. It’s a stretch now having Uhura as it is. Just my opinion but they could I guess?

The canon surrounding the Gorn has already been destroyed by Strange New Worlds. Some TOS canon needed to be ignored, like Spock was the only alien serving on The Enterprise, or any human Starfleet vessel, and that women weren't allowed to command starships "Turnabout Intruder". There was no reason to use the Gorn so heavily, when Klingons, Romulans and other species were available. The Gorn are such a well-known enemy on SNW, "Arena" makes no sense in that Kirk not only had never seen a Gorn, he didn't know the species existed judging by all the context of his actions. Since Kirk is obviously assigned to the same general area of space, judging by how often he is onboard NCC-1701, as the first officer of the USS Farragut, it makes no sense that he never saw the Starfleet intel on the species.

Makes the show much easier to watch...like Babylon 5 or the Expanse.
As to what will happen...it matters to what Xenomorph sequel to Alien they want to borrow from for S3.
I've mostly enjoyed Strange New Worlds using that frame of view. I ignore the typical Paramount gimmick episodes like fairy tales and musicals to avoid watching them jump the shark. Luckily they mostly reset Simpsons style after a stupid sidetrip into thespianism.

The thing that bugged me is the Gorn younglings that collaborated instead of fighting each other. It bugged me so much that I actually fell asleep after the episode, and in my dream I saw a possible opening episode of the next season!
In the opening sequence of this episode both the humans and these younglings were prisoners on the Gorn ship (the big one, with its communications down, chased by the Enterprise - masquerading as a Gorn hunter ship); and when the Gorn adults put them together, instead of attacking the humans, they started communicating with them.
    (Opening credits)
They learn that the Gorn infected (or fertilized or whatever) the native with their eggs, but when nothing happened for several days, they thought that the natives weren't compatible hosts, and abandoned the planet, killing as many natives as they could during their retreat. However the eggs weren't killed: something in the body or in the diet of the natives slowed down their development, made them just a hint less aggressive; and they were born small and helpless, without killing their hosts. The hosts (well, those who weren't killed during the retreat) adopted the younglings, and raised them as their own. Due to their education they ended up hating violence -- but even more their own biological parents.
Somehow the Gorn learned about them, and because the mere existence of peaceful Gorn was an affront to their culture or philosophy or whatever, they came back to eradicate the heretics. The human colonists and the Cayuga were just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. The younglings only attacked a few humans during the Gorn attack because they thought that the humans brought the Gorn back. Now they team up with the humans, and they will try to take over the ship together.
Meanwhile on the Enterprise Nurse Chapel is trying to save Cpt. Batel, but things don't look promising. Pelia and Scotty are still laughing about how they tricked the Gorn hunter ships into shooting each other and the mothership, when they receive Christine's desperate call for help: the restored stasis field didn't stop the development of Batel's Gorn "baby" (implanted by the attackers), only slowed it down They transfer her into the transporter buffer, and try to separate them, but their simulations don't work as expected.
On the Gorn mothership the rebels are fighting hard to get to the bridge. Since she can't pronounce their names, Ortegas calls their leaders Rudolf, Comet, and Dancer; she even rides one of them in a charge on a hallway, wielding a sword. La'An and M'Benga are shaking their heads in disbelief and keep shooting; between two shots M'Benga whispers: "This is my worst nightmare. And the best."
Because they don't know the ship, they end up in a shuttlebay instead of the bridge. They block the entrances, and board a troop transport ship; but they still have to disable or destroy the mothership in order to escape. Someone has to stay behind, Dancer volunteers. M'Benga too, but Dancer convinces him that a doctor is more important for their survival.
As soon as the transport is out of the bay, the Gorn storm in. Dancer waits for them near a shuttle, with two wires in his hands (paws, claws, whatever), looks at one of them, and asks: "Are you my mommy?" (Sorry, I like Doctor Who references...) Then he touches the wires together.
..... And sorry, but that's when I woke up. I can only imagine the ending: the Enterprise being surprised by the explosion of the mothership, then by one of their missing crewmembers calling them from an approaching transport ship with both human and Gorn lifesigns on board. With Gorn younglings on board the Enterprise, they can use them as templates to finalize the separation of Batel and her "baby". Maybe they relocate the colonists, the Gorn younglings, and maybe the remaining natives of Parnassus Beta too to another planet (or two), far from Gorn territory, and this becomes another adventure of Captain Pike that will never be mentioned by the history books.
I would expect Pike concluding the episode with something like: "Okay, maybe they are not all monsters. But they are still ugly."
To which Batel could add: "I'm not adopting it."

I think Zachary Quinto's Spock is Spock who at middle age having come into his own and know what the future his character will be if the do another movie his performance would be of a more mature confident Spock . Ethan Peck Spock is more of younger youth Spock who is more adventurous to the point I dare swashbuckler , I think when the character gets to the Pon Far and saving of his dad I think his over all characters would have mature to the point we meet him on kirk's run as Captain of the Enterprise.
As for your statement of adding more shows to Strange New World, I agree because the original Star Trek is the benchmark for the about of shows and new show has. And it this shows want to get to 78 episodes it would need to hurry up . And last I would like for the to bring back Star trek Enterprise to either give it a proper full season which would include a proper series finale and have the original crew come back older but better with more exciting adventures.

I love Zach Quinto as Spock, but you shouldn't make comparisons. Quinto 's Spock exists in an alternate universe. Whereas Ethan Peck and this Enterprise is a prequel to Nimoy's & Shattner's time. Both men are excellent in the role, Quinto on the big screen and Peck doing the TV shows.
I need to remind you Dr Mccoy clearly states he was called up by Star Fleet because he was a Reserve. No way can he appear prior to Kirk assuming command of Enterprise. Zulu can be worked in, but hopefully not right now. We need time to settle Scotty in Engineering. Pelia is still there, and I'd like her to remain on the show for at least another 2 years.
I'm concerned about the quality of the stories if the season extends to 20 episodes. So far, the writing has been excellent, attention paid to every detail. We may lose that in the need to write 20 scripts

I dont think its fair to say Quinto was doing an impression of Nimoy, I think Quinto did a good job of picking up the character though with how rushed the JJ Verse timeline was I dont think Spock should have been so unbalanced as he was, however this Quinto Spock did see his planet destroyed and his mother......so perhaps justified. I actually find Peck performance more remincent of Nimoy bearing mind Peck is getting to flesh Spock out in a serialised format which works better than just movies alone, plus Becuase of the various Pilots there is an in-canon reality of Spock being a little more emotionally earlier on in his career before he present the more stoic and traditional vulcan exterior. So I like theyve leaned into that I even like that Chapel is part of the reason why, I actually think back in the TOS day that was something that had far more potential to be explored and I also think that ulitmately Spock who love for his mother is deep (which they nail in SNW thus far) I think someone like Chapel espcially the more fleshed out Chapel we have gotten is well suited to Spock
