1:54 The "in-floor bathtub" would probably be a lot safer if it were just a couple inches higher. Just enough that if you're like me and don't always bother with turning on the lights, you are less likely to suddenly fall over as you try to stand at the sink and realize that your foot is just a bit too far out.
I'd trip on the raised edge though😂😂
It's generally considered a lot safer when wet to do down than up
the main issue with going up, is that you need the higher elevation foot to support your whole weight, in an even level bathroom/tub your body acts as a balance, but to step up in this case, your foot needing to be at a higher elevation basically means your body is at an angle when you lift your foot from the lower elevation in the bathtub, so the lower is pushing off, and the higher foot is basically needing to control your entire weight and push the rest of your body up, the slip and fall potential is MUCH higher
1:29 I can now just imagine someone accidentally walking in on someone having a bath and their head just looks like it's popping out the ground like a Diglett lol
These designs would be so funny in the plot of a horror- uh, I mean comedy movie!
Especially the stairs. Anytime I see poorly designed stairs, I immediately think of all the funny falls or tragic losses that could occur.
ooh, like final destination!
@@Deedoo_r yes! very funny movie!
That’s dark
I love the bathtubs that are under floor level as someone with mobility issues. Makes it much easier to be lowered in if/when I get to that point. Can put bamboo/metal grating on top for a roll in shower too! I've had my lower back be so painful I could not lift myself out of the bathtub before (nor stand up to shower), so this would have been so much easier at the time! A deeper, larger tub where a I could pull a solid cover over would also be a great float/sensory deprivation tub to use for AuDHD sensory diets, too! These tubs really are great, multifunctional options for disabled & able-bodied alike.
Wait does that mean
Autism + ADHD = AuDHD?
@@SoulLexxyep :)
That bathtub reminds me of my friend's church where their baptism tub is built into the floor so it can be covered and walked on in daily life. My friends baptism was amazing because like 10 minutes after my mum almost fell in, someone else fully fell in and had to go home 😂
Also I'd totally fall in that river that looks like a road. On a hike once, someone pointed out a patch that looked like mud but was actually filled with water. My ADHD brain told me to jump on it because it looks like mud and they're probably wrong. It was well over 5 foot deep so I was completely submerged until an adult grabbed me and pulled me out. There were several hours left of that walk and I was completely soaked. Still didn't learn my lesson to listen to adults with "authority".
Q_q
I fell into a baptism pool once bc it’s dark over there, built into the floor, and covered up. Never realized how stupid that design was until I read this lol
@@galaxygorl accidental baptism.

Just don't listen to ppl. Always do experiments first.
My best guess for the USB thing is that it is a specialized cable meant for charging some sort of 2S lithium battery pack. One lithium cell is 3.7-3.8V and two of them in series is around 7.2-7.4V. Using a micro USB end for the connector is the worst thing they could've done though, if you're making a nonstandard custom cable for a specific task put a nonstandard end on it so people don't accidentally use it for other things.
Uhhhhhh
My sausage brain can't comprehend that
Also the Voltage of EVERY usb has to be 5V. Anything else and it will blow up 90% of devices
Sooooo it’s a pillow maker?
@@CraftingCat_IXI believe that is indeed what they mean. As Lexi once said: "Enjoy your spicy pillow!"
7:40 It's even worse. Just like the outlet, it looks like there's a duct grate directly over the tub. You want mold? Cause that's how EVERYONE gets black mold.
I mean if it’s a supply it’s probably not that bad, but it’s definitely too low for my comfort.
My childhood home had the supply vent for the bathroom in the shower, but it was also one 6.5-7ft up and above the shower head
2:21 To be fair, Editor Kenny, your stairs at least have a consistent wider/safe-side. Those other ones switch the safe-side on the way down.
I think what you are seeing is that the tape isn't on the edge of the stop but in the middle.
@@Crazael Not actually what I meant. See, on Kenny's stairs, the right side (coming down) is always the wider, and thus safer, side. On the Subreddit's stairs, the wider side actually _switches._ That's what they were intending to point out, at least I think.
Granted, tape in the middle instead of the edge is *also* fucking stupid, but hey, maybe it's meant for traction? I dunno, just guessing here.

6:25 Can't wait to see the new Flat Stanley book
I miss reading Flat Stanley in Elementary
OMG that hotdog cooker... I will never, ever forget the time a power safety crew came to my elementary school to present about safe behaviour around neighbourhood power infrastructure. They demonstrated what would happen if you played on one of those big box transformers if the case came open by putting a hotdog directly on the wires inside. We couldn't use the library for the rest of the day because it smelled like burning flesh.

5:47 Aren't those Witch's Stairs? They're meant to keep witches from climbing them.
Yeah, I think so!
as we all know witches are notoriously bad at... going up the stairs?
@@daveslamjam Only THOSE stairs.
New favorite Emkay quote
"I still have to give them fault because apple is stinky."
With some of these you've just got to ask "where did their common sense go?"
It "fell" down the staircase at the end of the video. XD
Common Sense is now a Ghost Rare
The better question is, how many people did this idea have to go through. Because the answer is that a lot of people had to ok it. At least with all of the building/design stuff.
About the 7.4V USB cable: USB is standardized to always be 5V, but that cable converts from 5V on one end to 7.4V on the other end. It'll work for the device it came with, but if you try to power any other device with that cable, it might be fried, and if there's a battery in there it could even catch fire or explode, since it expects 5V and not 7.4V.
And BTW, USB C can do more than 5V (for example my charger can output anywhere from 3.3V to 20V, and my phone charges at 15V), but that's done by negotiating with the charger about what both devices support and then picking the best option. But that's only in USB C, and before the negotiation is complete there should always be 5V.
If any electrical device says "Made in China", expect it to be highly questionable, lacking safety measures and fail at an alarming rate. But it's definitely cheap!
8:41 This is an old product, however it is still produced to this day, but as a "T" connection, that way if you need a low voltage wire attached to another that has already been landed, then you can use that.
12:07 Suislide

4:25 my aunts first house had this across from the front door. The stairs were steep and made of very slippery polished wood. I remember being 7 years old, opening the door, taking two steps and falling all the way down. It happened on multiple occasions.

But you still don't have to switch sides. The railing goes all the way down.
@@Crazaelyou have to switch sides because curved stairs always have tiny steps that you can't properly stand on on the inner side

2:21 Kenny, it's because it's a double curve. Yours is a single curve - just stay on the outside and it's easy. The double curve you have to move from one outside to the other outside, or else it's like going down your stairs at home while hugging the left wall.

@@Moonlite_Kitsunein my head old home I have staircase like that. 4/10 times I fell
@@Moonlite_Kitsunethe editor's stairs are fine since it only curves one way (so you can just go along the outer edge and be fine), but the other stairs are an s bend, so you have to switch sides in the middle of going up/down
@@lunlunnnnnalso the other stairs are harder to see and are more steep, so if your tired or drunk your more likely to miss the turn or a step and fall
12:00 it’s a very good strategy! They paint the thing like a McDonnalds to attract kids, give them some Mc food knock-off then they go up to play then fall down into their demise and thus you have free meat again!
jack fr went down with the sickness at 8:15
8:53 Well that rug isn't trying to hide something it's for praying. Every mosque has their floors covered with it.
PS: I didn't write this comment because it offends me (jack may have not visited a mosque in his life) but for people who might find it insensitive.
I think he was pointing out the nearly 6 inch curb that materializes across the room. That the rug covers up. On the bright side it will get people into prayer position very quickly, or face plant.
Toilet seat covers are very popular in japan. The cover is usually swapped out every day or two and washed
1:32 my friend sent me a link to a realtor page that had this type of tub with green shag carpet around it. The home was for half a million dollars yet was labeled as "still under construction" and was being sold by the owner/builder. My friend thought that the two of us as well as 7 of our other friends would buy it and move in together. We all immediately agreed not to buy it
Finally Jack said what is on his mind. IHE really wants to give golden showers to his enemies and for once I would really like to be Jack's enemy.

That's amazing, I literally work in a building next to the pond at 3:19. They've added more signs now, but honestly it just looks like a field of grass (it's green now, I guess because of summer).
2:15 I love how they could've easily made a straight staircase down but still went the random turns route
The bath at 1:40 gives me anxiety as a nurse. I'm just imagining the amount of concussions and broken hips old people would get trying to get into that thing!
The toilet seat covers at 3:45 give me anxiety as a mother of 4 kids and a husband!
I want to see Phantom of the Opera in NYC a few years back. The theatre where it was being performed, had a balcony with seating was way too close to the ledge. It was like if you got up the wrong way you’ll fall over the balcony. 😅
When he talked about DND, I immediately thought of my bard bowyer character.
That thumbnail slide sure looks fun
5:42 those are called Witches stairs, they’re said to stop witches from falling out the stairs. Unfortunately, they also stop emergency services going up the stairs.
The bathtub in the floor is actually a intriguing idea
The main thing that bugs me about that bath is that all the dirt on the bathroom floor is going to end up in the bathtub. A lip of some kind would go a long way to stop it.
If you're referring to the one from 1:49 ... it does have a lip. It's only about an inch, but it's definitely there.
1:29 yep. sounds about right. hull is one hell of a town. we have all sorts of random design fails.
Never stop making D&D references
5:06 is that bike alone...?
9:33 It's made of old school desks. I think the auditorium chairs/seating version more as they look like they are the swivel kind.
The image at 6:02 is bad enough, but holy FRICK you went there.
2:21 i appreciate Editor Kenny actually photographed the stairs xD
but the Editor's stairs are actually better, because if you fall, that 90° corner pretty much stops your fall, but the stairs on the right are not only quite steep, but also squiggly (?) it's likely to make people disoriented and fall quickly to the floor without anything to catch them mid-fall :"D
The moving truck one wasn't that bad (apart from the fact that the license plate blocked half the qr code) because you do realize, that the truck is also parked sometimes lol.
The passengers can scan it for you as well

11:55 i'm 16 but i wanna ride this slide, cause of nostalgia of course
14:00 imagine water in the bathtub as well💀
The place I volunteer at has an outlet directly above the sink. If you shake your hands dry water goes *inside* the outlet
0:17 why wouldn't they just make the lights automatic? Most cars can already do that
I honestly don't know why automatic is a setting and not how cars are by default tbh, but I don't make cars
that bath tub is gonna break my neck the first time I come home drunk I just know it
1:29 the bathtub is such a nice coffin if you slipped and fell to the bathtub
Anti-slip mats.
2:22 it's also harder to see the edges of the darker stairs than kenny's lighter stairs
9:00 the carpet is actually what we prayer on. It works like a prayer mat
6:50 Hey, I can still hear my walls hum
2:57 saw his carrier flash before his eyes
Somehow garbage disposals in sinks seem like one of the least thought out ideas ever. Like, "lets take this perfectly safe kitchen fixture/appliance and add an element of danger to it. Will something bad happen? Who cares, people have 10 fingers, they could stand to lose a few"
Me: kinda peckish rn, i could do with a snack.
Jack: dw bro i gotchu
10:42 holy sh*t that’s my city
😂 I love how the USB cord has an input of 5 volts and an output of 7.4 volts. Best guess is some technical electrical engineering is going on with that cord or it's a straight up lie.
its probably a mini voltage booster, its exchanging the watts for volts while transferring the same amount of current (amps)
kenny says that the stairs aren't that bad, but they don't say how many times they have hurt themselves on their own staircase
I keep seeing those tringle wedge stairs on this sub, the diagonal ones. It's an actual type of staircase, with a name and everything. They're called witches' stairs, and the idea was back in the superstitious days, witches would be unable to climb or decend them. As an autistic wiccan, they work
8:19 Down With The Sickness- Dusturbed? Lol
I think the toilet seat covers (3:44) are meant for toddlers who are just learning how to use the big toilet judging by the pastel colors and the koala on the bottom right one. It prevents the kid from slipping into the toilet bowl while doing their business, and you’re supposed to replace them after use, and wash them with your towels.

That bathroom with the tub in the ground seems mild until you imagine yourself after a shower on those smooth floors. Knock something off the sink and try to catch it ,in to the tub you go.
There are anti-slip bath mats made for bathtubs.
1:49 all I can say is think about how dirty your socks/indoor footwear are. Now imagine having to bathe in whatever falls off your feet, or having to rinse out the tub anytime you want to use it.
The funniest part is him accidentally almost pronouncing Oaxaca correctly lmao

12:37 don't worry, you're not the only one
did that academic "super bowl" thing my school participated in during like my 6th grade year, and we went to a different school that was hosting it
I really had to go to the bathroom, saw that one was marked "men's" and assume the other open doorway was the entrance to the women's. it was not. who tf designs TWO entrances for a public bathroom?! this has not been the norm for such a long time!
I did feel embarrassed, but I mostly just felt bad, because the bathroom did have a few occupants when I accidentally walked in, and that likely they might have, in turn, felt embarrassed, vulnerable, etc etc.
I'm pretty sure those armrest stairs literally have a label saying "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" on EVERY step. if I saw that ANYWHERE in real life I would move to a far-away country
