Re: the baby goat with the bad leg Its quite common when baby goats are born on the ground that they can get an umbilical infection that settles in their back leg joints. Easy cure, antibiotics. Its very common.
@@lori1508there’s no need to be facetious! I’ll enlighten you a bit more by explaining the bit the OP missed out on… “Born on dirty ground, ie a muddy pasture” it’s called “joint ill” caused by bacteria entering through the newly severed umbilical cord it’s easily prevented by dipping their umbilical cord in iodine even if born in a stall with fresh clean shavings. It can be treated with antibiotics.
I like the respect you give to Buck. We should All respect our elders. Im 65 and live near Norman. Norman has progressd into a very disrespectful city. Every day and night bad things happen. It seems people have forgotten about our Heavenly Father. Im so happy my 3 children and my 6 grand children have been raised with the Lord. Thank you for the video.
I love the relationship you have created with Buck and that you still allow him to be a part of the property you are an amazing human being and thank you for sharing your family and bits of your life with us
A vet could give your kid a shot of anti inflammatories. If that joint stays like that for too long it will become permanently set and there will be no hope of normal use. As for the black baby, it may just be the angle of filming, but something looks off with it's jaw. Have you checked to see it's hard palate is joined and it's mouth is functional. Thanks for taking us along on the journey of the goats.
Hi Daniel your lame kid has Joint - ill which is common in goats and sheep! This is an infection in the joint which probably originated form the naval at birth. Look it up online for treatment! Great job there!! Love your channel !!
He at the could least try the treatment since the vet visit is out. I wouldn’t be surprised as he doesn’t treat any umbilical cord at birth on any of his goats.
You are killing me with that meal, I want to eat that so bad! Looks like baby goat is going to need some help from you. Houston great job on that meal. boy it sure did look good. Good to see EmmaLee. Sorry if I misspelled your name ,👋
There are chiropractors that fix joints like is apparent on your baby goat. Also, a single cortisone injection has been used in baby cows to treat similar post birth problems that may have occurred during birth or soon thereafter as when Mama steps on the newborn. It's not right to sentence the baby to a twisted back and a limp throughout their life if a chiropractor can manipulate the joint back into alignment. I've seen it done on my Dad's farm, and i hope you'll consider my thoughts for your farm.
Hopefully mama goat will step up and care for her baby and get it nursing like it should. I can’t believe how many mushrooms you & Houston found. Hope you’re family has a wonderful Easter.
I love your respect for Buck. I’m sure he has many happy memories of the old farm. Your generosity and care for others is such a great example to others and a firm reminder to others. It costs us nothing to be kind and respectful. The bonus is that it makes your heart sing with joy. God’s blessings
I really like that you don't interfere with your animals too much. I grew up on a goat farm. My dad always allowed the goats to kid on their own. He never once pulled a kid. I watched another site and every kid was pulled and most had problems.
Will be keeping the baby in my prayers. Now is up to Mom and God Daniel.God Bless please be safe I love my Arms Family. Say a pray for The workers not recovered from Key Bridge collaspe and our Maryland gonna get rough here now.

Awesome stuff. Over 40 years raising animals of many kinds I've never lost my compassion and tried everything under the sun to save one animal out of a hundred if needed. Just my take on it. We all should please God by having as much compassion for any animal in our flock that we are responsible for. Great video!
My husband has been a farmer and raised goats he says a shot of a couple of cc's vitamin e will help her leg. You can't afford to run to the vet for every little thing. You would be putting out alot of money. I have never seen mushrooms grow that thick. We live in Virginia the Sheandoah Valley. We love watching.
It seems to me that an injury as such would indicate the need for an x-ray to see if it is a bone or tissue injury. Early detection could keep this animal from possibly suffering from a lifelong ailment. A simple naproxen treatment would reduce the swelling and cost nearly nothing. May be about $.35.
I can remember when I was real young it was mom Dad and both grandparents we would all go mushroom hunting. Bread bags full we would have several big ole dish pans full. Enough to share with others my Great Grandma was to old to go but she sure did enjoy them. And spring Ramps oo that is good eating for sure. Here in Montana I gauge the mushroom 🍄 and asparagus hunting by when the rural Fire Department does the ditch and land burns. Week or two after they start popping up like crazy. I get lost for hours “hunting treasures”. Always been a favorite time for me. Right up to when I hear the first rattler or experience the unforgettable feeling under foot from stepping on a snake. That’s the moment seasons over for me. I get the “yuck” feeling and I’m good for the year. 😂
I hope the baby goat makes it. Can't wait for updates. Hopefully you will supplement with a bottle to help mom out. Love the catch for the Morel mushrooms 🍄, they looked yummy
Great video as usual. The Morel mushrooms hunt, pick and eat looked delicious. I would have handled the baby goat situation differently. But like I have said in the past this is your deal. We love you guys. God bless you and your family. Have a wonderful Easter. He has risen he has risen indeed. 😊😊
Bear has more babies to look after. Baby goats are awesome to watch - they hop/jump around. I remember when you had pretend to pass through the fence. We had this same chat about calling supper and lunch. Mushrooms look delish - as well as the burgers. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing, eh :))
I understand that not a lot can be done for that baby’s leg but some anti inflammatory will definitely help her out. I’m so excited for you great morel find
This much I know, Daniel, you should take the baby's temp. It won't nurse until temp is above 37° C. Keep it on heating pad and under blankets until temp rises. Then he should have sucking reflex and will take colostrum by bottle. Shortly after that, he should nurse off mom. Just things I've learned. ❤️ and blessings from Jo in Michigan 🌊
Wonderful video. Sending prayers for your new little kid 🙏 I know you will do everything you can to make sure it has a long wonderful Life.As for the little kid that has a sore leg I know the same thing you'll do everything and anything you can to help with the same way!!!! I love you guys and I love you channel thanks for sharing your lies with us❤. Enjoy your blessed day and have a very happy Easter.

The baby goats are so cute 🥰 There are a lot of mushrooms and you and Houston were having a blast at finding them that you could have stayed longer except for the fact that they're is a ballgame and you were probably be late and that would not be very good for you 😁 Sending prayers and hugs 💓 God bless the family 💖🙏🙏🙏🙏 Hope they won the ballgame 😀😁
Oh, wow! You’ve hit gold! Morels are the best and are sooo expensive at stores!
Great content as usual! I love seeing the animals!
Awesome feast of morals too. HappyBirth. Pretty kid 😍 ❤
Baby goat is so precious!😊❤ Bear is such a sweet boy!
Ole Bear ,,, He’s just about seen it all ❤
Love seeing the wildlife !!!
We love morels used to find them in Idaho your for sure blessed
Im glad you share the mushroomse with Buck❤
Hope that little goat makes and hope the mother nurse the little goat and love yall video
In Canada, supper means a "casual" mid-day or evening meal. Dinner is more formal and is always taken in the evening.
It's breakfast, lunch, supper.....on Sunday noon is Sunday dinner
In southwestern Iowa
5 meals / day for the rancher.... Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and supper. Contingent on the day for cattle driver in the past.
