You know this is serious when the damn packaging comes with a pair of gloves.
Yup! My other 1 scale marklin has white gloves. Can't wait for this to show up to my door 😊
Clearly a very impressive Gauge 1 model of the BigBoy locomotive. A collectors display item for sure!
Model railroading has become a rich mans sport .
For the top of the line models on larger gauges, sure. Always has been. For regular gauges like H0 there's plenty of affordable Märklin stuff, especially if you shop around for 2nd hand items.
@@kaasmeester5903 none of its affordable. it all adds up. and who wants used crap.
@@stevethomas-cc5lz I got a used (more or less new) Märklin digital starter set for €150, 2 additional second hand locos, a bunch of track and a few switches and signals, some rolling stock, along with 2 digital decoders (for non digital switches / signals). I spent about €800 in all I think. Most of the stuff is in great condition and came in the original packages. The rails needed cleaning. Not a bad price for enough stuff to build a respectable layout.
ok , now i have to find 7000 euro and a bigger radious curves rail
Rather the USA trains version
Bah ha ha. Toys for mega rich. Lol.
Holy crap - wow! That thing is more than likely NOT cheap!!! Outstanding job!
Beautiful piece of modelling. ❤
A man can dream. Looks great!
Yep, hurray for YT, not getting any closer
$6,400. Wow!!!! It is very beautiful, and belongs on a mantel.
Must be live steam for that price
I just watched a video of Big boy heading to California. Amazing. The diesel is to slow it down on descents. Not to add pull.
Big boy union pacific 1 gauge it’s beautiful 😍
What a magnificent Big Boy. Looks and sounds great! Thanks for sharing! 😎
A magnificent model! Excellent work Marklin.
Well the company is called Märklin and this model is not built by them. It is made by one of the best brass model makers in Korea. They only Importen it. If Märklin had built it in Europe, the price would be app $12 600 - 15 000 😂😂😂
Awesome ❤❤❤❤
At this scale the front bell should be moved by a motor. Märklin missed that opportunity, sadly.
The bell doesn't move on big boys it uses air to swing the striker on the bell
@@Ohiotrucker1 they could have gotten away with it, foamers just want to see stuff move and have smoke coming out of it and they're happy
some people always find something to bitch about oh boo hoo boo hoo
Wow! This is an absolutely amazing piece!
Just saw the real one here going through the Sierra Nevada mountains impressive
Wonderful. Wish I could afford one. Curious what are the part numbers of the foam pads that were used? I am having difficulty finding them. They are useful for other large engines too for me. Thank you.
outstanding. I need someone to buy me one of these!
Brilliantly done!! Just wow!!!!
wow, still using cables to connect the tender to the engine.....Lionel and MTH have already gotten rid of these.
"An open end wrench"?? What the hell is that?? The tool is called "a spanner!" That said, the model itself is awesome in every respect and an absolute beast.
wrench! spanner sounds gay
@@boogermeister1 only if you're 'murican - which I'm not.
@@PaulFellows3430 I am, that is why it is a wrench. But we both do like trains, so it is not a total loss!😁
@@boogermeister1 absolutely
@@boogermeister1You need to be more careful. You almost caused an Anglo-American International Incident! 😉🤣🇬🇧🇺🇸
Thanh you very much
Please make Indian model trains like wap 7, wag 9..
How things changed. My dad had one of these in HO scale. I had never heard of gauge one is this something new.
It’s g scale
G scale/gauge 1 goes all the way back to the early days of the hobby
When do these hit the shelves in the stores?
Bahut badhiya..😊
I think that this beauty costs a fortune...
Correct me if i am wrong but Gauge 1 is what they filmed the Model Thomas the Tank Engine Series in right....
Yes. Using Marklin mechanisms for the running gear.
@@johnd8892 I would love to See a Replica/one of the original filming models next to the big boy just to show the Crazy difference in size!
wow. wishlist
How much does it weigh? And what size radius does it need for turns?
I want this so badly :((
We just saw union pacific 's Big Boy 4014 in utah. It came to town for 2 days. My 9 year old wants this model train so bad! He has been fascinated since he was 1. He knows every fact of the Big boy. I wish I could afford this! Is there a more budget friendly Big boy available?
price tags are a joke. nobodies gonna pay 7000 for a damn engine.
😍
WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE 4000 STEAM BIGBOY THANKS JIM
Why is it not listed on their site??? >
Is only for collectors
This is awesome. I have a question. I have new model train channel. Can anyone tell me is it better to list my videos 'kids friendly" or not?
If it's "kid friendly" I think they won't allow comments. There's probably other differences but that's the main one I can think of.
@@jamesm6638 Oh wow. I didn't know that. I also want everyone to hopefully enjoy. and love the trains as much as I do.
@@chuggsvilleI *think* (please double check me on this) that on kid-friendly videos they also don’t allow saving, like to playlists.
Have to go to the bank and get a loan !
do they make cheaper in n,, or z
Is it made in Germany
Yes
is 1 gauge compatible with g scale ?
it's 2 different terms for the same thing
@@jamesm6638 thank you and what an amazing model only the germans would give you white gloves lol
@@robertsouthrey3480
gloves are a clue for not asking price. If you do, usually it´s because you can´t afford it 😅😅
How many sold? 1 lolololol
how much coast ?
@derz-crackmodellbahnvideosinsp costs a decent motorcycle. Amazing vacation. Night with expensive night girls. An entire high end ho layout all dcc and beautiful engines! Or, one very overpriced steamer.
@@Curious_Skepticusually the bigger the scale, the more $$$$ goes in.
A real steaming Big Boy in 1/8 scale on
7 1/4 or 7 1/2 inches gauge track, believe me, you really don´t want to know the price. You can have a decent automobile or sailboat.......for less.
@danielfantino1714 yup. They are awesome. Sort of trolling in good nature humor. Believe me, if I had that kind of income to chuck 10s of thousands at a hobby, I would be all in. Good thing we have n scale and h.o. for us not so lucky. ;)
@@Curious_Skeptic
Cool to sit on your tender and have steamy "toy" that carry you in dream land until....
Wheels fed up of turning on high iron, decided suddenly to kiss ballast and ties !
At that moment you really regret of not being in HO or N.....
Or you brake suddenly and your "toy" fasteners broke loose with your steamer passing through the back of your pick up to stop just behind you. Then try to explain to your insurer that you have been hit by a steam locomotive that burst into your cab.....
They won´t believe you. 😮😢😢 😊😂😂
@danielfantino1714 lolz. Every hobby has its frustrations. You just happen to have some cooler stories of failures. Living my dream. Always wanted to do that stuff. Looks like a lot of fun. Minus the injuries. 😉😀
