The #Surprise Model 2024 is the 141 R 1244 steam locomotive, which can be ordered directly and will be available for delivery from #September. The Mikado locomotive is appearing as a completely #new design and with great technical highlights for the first time in the #Märklin and #Trix programme.

🚂 Risen from the ruins, this steam locomotive giant represented an absolute revolution for the SNCF after the war. As the French locomotive stock was severely depleted, robust and universally usable Mikado locomotives were ordered in the USA. The first series of 700 locomotives was delivered in 1945, followed by a second series of 640 locomotives by 1947.
The 141 R was used in many types of trains and was particularly popular for heavy goods and express trains. Nine of these locomotives still exist today, including the 141 R 1244, which is preserved in Switzerland as an operational vintage locomotive.

Impressive front with characteristic air pump and mudguard, particularly filigree wind deflectors and silver sleeve buffers.

The two whistles sound as monumental as their exhaust note and announce the heavy labourer in an impressive way.
▰ Simply increase the distance
The distance between the locomotive and tender can be easily increased so that the 2024 Surprise Model always offers a perfect driving experience, even on tight bends.
▰ Beautiful oil tender
The model of the 141 R runs with an oil tender in the optical condition of the SNCF, exactly as the locomotive is currently operational in Switzerland.
▰ Full of digital functions
For real driving pleasure, the mfx+ decoder offers great digitally switchable functions such as cab lighting, running gear lighting, and firebox and burner flickering.
▰ Smoke generator and precise buffer height
The filigree metal construction of the 141 R includes a built-in smoke generator as standard for prototypical steam locomotive driving. The buffer height corresponds to the NEM standard.
▰ Completely new design, available in September

Die Lampen zu gross, die Treibrader zu klein. Ich bin ein Trix/Marklin Fan aber ich denke der Jouef Variante mit Loksound ist eine gute Alternative.

@@corbasse2929 Sadly Märklin almost never make any Scandinavian passenger cars. The only ones I can think of are the old Swedish cars, but they are only 1:100, not 1:87.
