Any possibility of a more detailed review of the 12kw? Seems no one is talking about these.
I've been running the 12k model for about a year (purchased through Ian) and it's been solid. It really is heavy, but the auto transformer is worth it. On average, we use about 25-30kWh/day through the 12k, up to 50-60kWh/day in the summer.
Honestly the only downside is you can't parallel it, and the wifi card isn't built in like some of the MPP Solar units, which took me a few tries to get set up, but is working now.
Ian, you’re ruining my dreams. I specially asked if the 6000T is a low frequency inverter. Are you telling me that it is Not a low frequency inverter, but a high frequency inverter with an auto transformer in order to supply split phase power?
Now you tell me that it can’t be paralleled. That would have been priceless information when I asked to buy a second one. .
Hi Ian. Two questions: Did you bond ground and neutral in the subpanel witch inverter feeds? Did you run a neutral from main panel to subpanel to have a common neutral? Thank you.
I have been asking and investigating no one seems to answer that question ❓❓❓ I'm only off grid... should I bond them in the panel or just run a ground cable separate to a rod...

such a same no parallel mode i rather multiple smaller units especially when your talking about something 80kg , what Mosfets are in these the 150v input is quite low compared to other inverters its a tuff one when 4x panels are just a tad over voltage
That LF transformer is massive. You should put a link in your description to your business. I thought the 6000T or smaller (4000T, 5000T) can be paralleled? I bought the 6000T (though haven't even installed it or tested it yet), and was planning on getting another to parallel them. I guess I didn't do my homework.

How's it running now at the end of 2023? Signature solar dropped it for a few reasons one being reliability
Are you familiar with what could cause code 56 and 4, battery voltage its code all the way to inverter, even inverter detects voltage but gives me those two codes, same problem in two (2) growatts 3000
which one of those boards is the MOV board in the 12k inverter ??
if it is an inverter/ charger can a portable generator hook up to it and be used to charge 48-volt battery bank.
Can you charge with ac input 120v generator by chance? have you ever tested I know manual says only input 240v but I didnt want to buy another generator

Just at idle yes but once you put it to work doing something there is no idle draw

Ian, how sure are you that this inverter utilizes an autotransformer? Do you have any information from Growatt confirming this?

Can you test their 3x power surge capability?
Yes, this would be good to know for people with deep well pumps. I doubt that the transformer less unit could handle those loads that's why I am looking at the heavy transformer models.
@@sh839c I tested my 3HP 240V well pump with my LVX6048 recently. Started it easily.
@@niktak1114 that is promising, how much battery do you have? I will just be using batteries for emergency water for now.
@@sh839c about 10kwh usable. The only issue with this particular inverter is that it doesn't have a power save mode so it wastes a lot of energy if the only thing it will be used for is a well pump that pumps a few times an hour.

What is minimum battery size for using 6kw version?
In the manual it says 300ah I believe.

I use 50.000 watts a thousand eighty amp hr.
