Crazy thing about Zach is that he played in a Hardcore band called “Inside Out.” Just straight screaming. That’s how I knew of him. When Rage came out, I had no idea it was the same singer. I love this track. It always gets stuck in my head.
Yeah, it’s crazy how many criminal cops there are. I’ve seen a cop smoke crack. Not undercover, or by accident. Full uniform, badge, gun, etc. hitting the pipe. I wouldn’t have believed it if I didn’t see it with my own two eyes. Terrifying. That’s the whole story though. He got high, thanked the dude who’s house it was, then jumped in his patrol car, and went to work, I guess. Wild shit. Not even the worst thing I’ve seen a cop do.
Zack is one of the most underrated MC in history.
I have always loved this track. Zack is a top tier emcee. Check out "Burned Hollywood Burned" with Black Thought and Chuck D.

I had a friend pass me a copy of "Legend of Bigfoot" back in the day and after I heard "Secret Wars Pt.1" he had me hooked.

I really love the last emperor. He is one of the forgotten greats. I would list some of his great songs to check out but its to hard to pick from his body of work. Some popular tracks are heaven, secret wars, and one life. But i really recommend to check as much as you can (suzie wong is one that is still on my weekly playlist.)

For those who missed it, Zach's "wretched of the Earth" line is a reference to a book by Franz Fanon, the Afro-Caribbean psychiatrist, political philosopher and activist. Showing once again just how well-informed Zach really is, not only a teacher but a student himself.
I wish Zack would have done more of this kind of thing.

Yeah this track was supposed to be for Zach’s solo rap album but the record label canceled it so it was only released on compilation albums
I remember when this video dropped on The Box music video channel in98/99 when I was in 8th grade, I still have it recorded on vhs

Pretty much anything Zach or KRS-One does has about 9 deep references per verse. You almost need to watch the lyric video with 3 or 4 Google tabs open to research them.
