Well the truth, for me, is that I believe that the ancestor of these two is that technically he was called ingo and at the time, when he was born ingo (Actual BW) in his family as an honor to his ancestor they gave him the same name as his ancestor , For it is the confusion that the ancestor of the twins Subway bosses of the same name

I was commenting to my wife about how sad it was for Cylene’s family to fall so far, and drag descendants of others into evil. It’s clear to me that eventually Cylene takes control of Galaxy and eventually Cyrus, her descendant, warps it into team Galactic. She would be so ashamed of him.
The same goes to the ancestors of the members of Team Galactic, they would be ashamed how far their descendants had fallen, but still this good story writing tbh

Perhaps the idea came from (spoiler) during the postgame of LA. (Spoiler) had the goal to create the new world long before Cyrus adopted it.
Another possibility is that modern team galactic is not the same as the galactic-expedition, just Cyrus digging up some information on his ancestor and using a patriotic name for his extremestic organisation to get goodwill from the public.

@@lenka781 Kinda yeah given that over time, the genetic traits that make you will be spread out among your descendants who could have kids together (inbred or not) there would be a slight chance that all your traits could be replicated by someone down the line. Which in turn would make you again.
The Quantum Leap part though does seem wrong as there isn't that many generations to work with unless we're talking some serious Alabama family trees here.

The devs said not to pay much attention to the overall lore cause it’s not really cohesive and wasn’t written properly to work together
It is pretty cool the connection with unova this game seems to give off. A ton of unovan Pokémon with hisuian forms, new force of nature, Clays ancestor, etc. it has nods to pretty much every other region too

I like how they're not all ancestors to just Sinnoh characters, but characters from all over. Really gives a bigger sense of interconnection.

I like how all the ancestors have distinctive facial features or hair colors that clearly indicate who their descendants are, and then you have Lian with *h a t*
I mean, Lian’s eyes and hair match Clay’s eyes and hair so the hat wouldn’t be the only connection.

Imagine if palkia and dialga went into a frenzy causing a space time distortion merging past and future causing the present descendants meet their ancestors as a DLC ... I can't fathom how a kind hearted arezu becomes an antagonistic mars.
Or Volo and Coriga realizing their many-great’s granddaughter is an absolute badass with a similar passion for myths.

if I remember correctly, in the pokemon tie-in manga for sinnoh, Mars turns on Galactic in the climax of the story and fights Satern. I could be wrong however as it's been almost a decade since I've read the manga.
Edit: Went to the wiki (Used Bulbapedia) and it turns out I was partially correct, both Satern and Mars turn on Galactic.
On an unrelated note, just remembered that the version of dawn in that manga was aged up but still had the same outfit and it had a fairly short shirt and, if I remember correctly, made her chest a bit too prominent.

This game answered a lot of stuff that has happened in the Sinnoh region and other based lore. This is my favorite Pokémon game and hopefully we’ll get more like this

I'm sure the clan leaders, 3-4 of the wardens and the Professor are all original characters or ancestors of future gen characters
A lotttt of people are saying she looks like one of the two rivals from Pokémon Duel, and I can kinda see it! It would be neat if they were acknowledging some of their spin-off franchises, though I think that one is a bit too random/niche.
I can see the clan leaders being original, especially since I’m hard pressed to name anyone who looks close to Adaman, but I think it would be weird to have most of the wardens be ancestors to known characters and just a few random newbies out of no where

Team Magma's Maxie is one that looks at progress which the diamond clan and time focus on, while Archie believes in nature's preservation and Pearl clan believing in maintaining the old ways and respecting them so fitting their ancestors are in those clans.
Calaba, Mellie, Laventon, Iscan, Palina, Adaman and Irida are probably the ancestors of characters we didn't met yet.
I'm not sure Zisu is Buck's ancestor and same thing with Beni and Aaron.
And Ingo is just Ingo.

i personally think that calaba is thorton's ancestor (from the gen 4 frontier brains)
you can see they both have the droopy eyelids that look more similar than mina's as well as green sections in their hair, with calaba's being slightly more faded.
Nah dog Thorton just looks done with a nine to five from a quick google search meanwhile Mina looks like she took a toke (haha I am hip and cool with the kids who do the drugs sarcasm) from a Hisuian Typhlosion and Calaba looks like that. However yours also make scene if you wanted to keep her blood in Sinnoh

The dead-giveaway with these Ancestor characters is that they have very similar hair styles + colours to other characters. Calaba isn't anybody's ancestor because she doesn't have a unique hair style. It's the same with a lot of these characters in this video. You're basing it on the eye shape, but Calaba and Thorton's eyes are completely different up-close.

I have seen time travel shows where a family bloodline was created only because the person was sent in the past.
So its possible that ingo could stay in the past and create his very own family then future ingo being destined to go into past. Like a cycle.
Pretty sure the main character cant be the ancestor because he is from the future he even has a phone which gen 4 dosent have which means he might even be from the future after the events of gen 4.

We know that Kamado is the ancestor to Professor Rowan because they flat out told us that was the case in an early trailer for the game. However seeing that Komado is known in game to use sumo moves on both people and Pokémon alike I feel like that there's a non-zero chance that he could also be the ancestor to Drayden from the Gen V games.

And deep down, we all know that player characters would get explicit ancestor doubles only if the region they debuted in will get this same kind of game.

In the main story, ingo was transported into the rift, like you, and is sent to the hisui region in the past

So they migrated from different regions already revealed in PLA
There's characters talking about Galar, a character that states he migrated from Alola.
Laventon clearly traveled to Alola, Johto, and Unova based on the starters he's giving out.
Non of characters are born in this region, all of theme came from outside and are trying to study the region the clans and few people in jublife village are the only ones who want to live here, most of the galatic team are going to go back to their home lands later.
Btw the entire jublife village is made up of galactic team members or ginko guild members.
@@vansh6038 it’s not feudal Japan, it’s the industrial revolution timeframe which is late 1800s early 1900s. The main games as such could be considered to be based sometime around 2100-2600 considering they have stinking warp panels as standard technology.

One character from this game could be the ancestor of several modern characters, and we won't know anything until it is confirmed by GAME FREAK.
I should also mention I think Arezu might be an ancestor of Silver as well: her eye shape is closer to his, and her hair color about halfway between Mars and Silver's colors, as well as the front of the hair being styled similarly.

We really dont know if the player character is actually an ancestor, since you fell through the space-time warp, but the other character you don't choose is definitely an ancestor of dawn or lucas
I think Melli is Fantina ancestor, my reasoning for this is that Fantina Japanese name is Melissa
I'd like to point out something that most likely have overlooked about Pesselle, while Mira does have the same hair color and style she really doesn't look anything like Pesselle. If anything the various Nurse Joys in all the main games look more similar to Pesselle on top of the fact both she and them are nurses.
Also I'd like to say I disagree with those saying they don't see the resemblance between Iraida and May cause I do, the second I saw her I thought of May cause they have similar facial structure and also wear similar looking clothes not to mention both wear a bandana that is red. While yes its odd to have one protagonist's ancestor show up yet the other doesn't, who's to say that Iraida's family stays in Hisui/Sinnoh? Perhaps some of her kids decide they'd rather go somewhere thats a good bit warmer and settle there rather than stay where its really cold, I mean if Benny truly is Wally's ancestor (who hints at moving to somewhere much warmer) theres nothing that suggests other ancestors eventually move to the other lands.
And Ingo isn't his own ancestor, he's the same Ingo from B/W but got amnesia.

I can see some of these being true, but I don't believe all of these. Some of the PLA characters barely look like the characters from past games. I believe some characters are just original characters for this game, and maybe in later gens we'll get to see their descendants.

The generations really elevated Candice's family if you know what I mean.
Quick theory, the main protagonist is the same as bdsp main character just 5 years older, they mention he’s around 15 which would make sense if you are 10 in bdsp
Also explains why they are such a monster at pkmn battle, they were at some point a Champion.
The means conically it took them about five years to cross the region maybe at most

Actually the main character in Legends Arceus is the same person in DP. Like come on. His clothes were futuristic and he had a phone. Arceus made him travel back in time. Not an ancestor

I was really sad that Azeru turned into Mars in Diamond and pearl. She's probably my favorite character in PLA and to see her descendants turning into egotistical snot rags hurt my heart.

@@kayschut9327 ik that and I'm not saying Yolo isn't Cynthia at all, but, Volo's personality doesn't exactly match Cynthia's, especially towards the post game, so Volo may pull from someone else as well as Cynthia.
@Zkar Zalgo: I think Volo's similarity in appearance to Cynthia was an intentional deception by Game Freak. Unless he's confirmed to be related to her by blood, Cogita is the True Ancestor of Cynthia that they kept hidden for players to discover in-game.
If not officially related to Cogita, my best guess to Volo's Descendants is Barry/Noland: They're constantly bumping into you (though Volo's isn't _literal_ ); they have ties to big business - Noland is the Tower Tycoon, after all!; and Volo's knowledge of Hisui can be explained by his association with Cogita.

@@lianaverwood9810 I didn't know who Noland was until I just looked him up. He screams "side character" to me, but that maybe just me tho. But while you do have a point with Cynthia's bloodline having the willpower to go with their own will, further disproving that Cynthia is related to Vol, I don't think they'd take a character as "side character" esc as Noland.
What I do think however is that Volo may have the appearance of Cynthia, having her hair colour and eye colour, but because of his personality in the post game and his hair style during the post game. I have to say and stick with Ghetsis. I also don't think Volo was manipulated, but rather using the player as a tool to discover legendary beings and gather the plates to kill arceus with Giratina. Ghetsis did something extremely similar with N, raised him and used him as a tool to take over Unova with a legendary dragon. How he gets giratina, idk which maybe where my thought process kind of falls. But that's just my thought on it tho.
@@zkarzalgo5849 Just so you know, Noland is Barry's Father - that's why I put them together. Noland may seem like more of a side character, but once you factor in his relation to Barry it helps to explain the facial features on Volo.
I do feel that Game Freak might be saving an Ancestor of Ghetsis for the potential Sequel to this game if it did well (it did, beyond all expectations), but that and the lack of other distinguishing physical features are the only things I can come up with against Ghetsis.
Of course what I've said isn't proof of Volo being related to Noland and Barry, only evidence to explain the aspects of Volo's character that don't match with Barry on his own. And this is only my opinion, I'm not going to push it onto anyone - just making the suggestion and providing evidence.
